This place was okay, I would not book here again. It is definitely in a good spot right downstairs is Nanjing road so you have alot of shopping and food halls right outside your room.
Staff is super friendly and very helpful especially the cleaning staff. Made sure we got water atleast once a day and would ask us if we need new towels if they saw us.
Depending on where they put you, you may end up having to take a pretty far walk to your hotel room.
You’ll need to take an elevator up to the main lobby and depending on the room you will need to take another elevator up. But if you are on an floor higher then 6 be prepared to hike to your room most inconvenient part of the stay to be honest.
The room also has an AC, Heater option you can set which is very handy and a window that can open partially.
The room was overall nice and clean but the compliments stop there, as the room is way to dim especially the bathroom cant really see much in there and it is also very tiny you can barely move in there. You literally cannot close the door if you’re standing at the sink or sitting on the toilet.
The shower drain also has a bad smell like sewer pipes that come up when youre using the shower and it takes awhile for it to go away. The shower pressure was okay until my 3rd day there and when I showered the water pressure was non existent and limp even tho the water is being poured on my body the pressure was so low it didnt even feel like anything was hitting me. At one point the pressure dropped to 0 and it was trickling out the shower head. The next morning though it was back to normal so not sure what happened. The shower area also floods the bathrooms as we had 3 rooms and all rooms had some form of flooding post shower. And 1 was really bad. Which we complained about and they gave us another room.
They also had a laundry room with 3 small washers and 3 small dryers not ment for bulk washing, and also free detergent. The washer was good but the dryer… unless you are ready to hang dry your clothes do not wash your clothes here as we ran the clothes in the dryer for 2-3 hrs and the clothes were still damp. And when we asked the staff they told us the dryer only dries enough for it to stay damp and you will need to air dry the rest which is ridiculous. Why have a dryer when it doesn’t do what it’s meant to do? Make it make sense.
Overall besides location and friendly staff there is definitely better locations to choose from. I would not stay here again.

5/5 – Perfect Family-Friendly Stay in a Great Location
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly attentive and super helpful with our baby, making our family trip so much easier. Their kindness and willingness to assist truly stood out.
The location is excellent – situated on a charming street filled with cozy cafes, lively bars, and cute boutiques. It was the perfect spot to explore the area while having everything we needed right nearby.
We also appreciated the daily complimentary coffee and bottled water, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of fresh options.
The warm, welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to other travelers, especially families.

Had a great rest at the hotel. We arrived quite early on the day of check-in, and the front desk staff very politely helped us store our luggage. They also accepted a delivery for us, which was a nice touch. The bathroom was also very spacious. The breakfast on the second day was excellent, with freshly made soup dumplings and freshly squeezed orange juice, which were very popular.

The location is unbeatable. Food, drinks, and entertainment are right downstairs, and it's just out of Exit 3 of Jing'an Temple Metro Station. Luxury stores on Nanjing West Road are only a couple of stops away, and Yuyuan Road offers a quaint, old Shanghai vibe with its plane trees and charming old houses. The hotel itself is nestled between two streets, avoiding the crowds but still capturing the essence of old Shanghai. The residential building in front of it is even the apartment where Eileen Chang wrote 'Love in a Fallen City.' The service is excellent, from the doormen and front desk staff to the housekeeping aunties and restaurant chefs. The breakfast isn't extensive, but it has all the essentials, and it's all healthy food. If you prefer a Western breakfast, they offer more cheese and ham than most hotels. While the facilities are a bit older compared to newly built hotels, it's still highly recommended. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

I’ve stayed here before many times over the last 3 years. This would normally be our hotel chain of choice based on price point and amenities.
The room smelt like an airport smoking room on a bad day. I thought about accepting it as I was tired and it was late but the air conditioning in the rooms on floor 2 are also not good. Noisy neighbours, screaming kids and families sharing multiple rooms next to each leaving the doors open made the experience even more unpleasant.
I had to wait 30 minutes for a new room in a grotty reception area with broken seats.
After asking for a refund, I got upgrade to a decent room on the 6th floor. Clean and no smell.
Breakfast is good here and much better than in other Chinese Campanile hotels- European breakfast choices are all available: pain au chocolate (etc), butter, milk, acceptable fruit juice etc.
There are hotels in this area of a higher quality that provide the same for around 1/2 the price. It’s worth trying the Chinese brands.
This stay was expensive as I bought it last minute- next, I’ll choose a different hotel.
Key point: if you do book here in advance, you can get a better deal and better rooms- request a non smoking quiet room. If you do stay here, the location is excellent. The LV ship is 1 metro stop away. There are plenty of museums within 5 minutes walking distance and you can walk along the canal to the Bund in 25 minutes.

The location is quite good. This was my first time in Shanghai and I really grew to love this hotel, so I didn't bother looking for another. The only downsides are that the Yan'an West Road elevated highway often gets congested, and it's not very close to the subway station. I usually just bike when I go out exploring, haha.

I was in Shanghai for an exhibition and booked The Kunlun Hotel through an online travel platform. Its location is fantastic, super close to the subway; just 100 meters from Exit 12 of Jing'an Temple Station! Stepping inside, I was immediately impressed by the sheer space and grandeur. The lobby is expansive, with high ceilings, and feels incredibly opulent.
I stayed on a high floor. My initial room was on the 23rd floor, offering a view of Jing'an Temple. Unfortunately, there was a minor issue: the air conditioner started leaking, so I had to switch rooms. My second room, on the 28th floor, then had a splendid view of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. From both high vantage points, Shanghai's bustling traffic looked incredibly dense and vibrant. As someone who can feel overwhelmed by crowded patterns, it was quite a sight!
The hotel also generously invited me to a buffet meal at their 38th-floor restaurant. There was a wide selection of alcoholic beverages, though I regret forgetting to take photos. The Japanese ramen was decent, and overall, it was a simple yet satisfying meal. However, I must say, sitting by the window and looking down offered a truly commanding perspective, allowing me to once again soak in Shanghai's dynamic energy. It was a wonderful experience!
As for the room itself, it was perfectly equipped with everything one could need and was genuinely comfortable and well-appointed!
A quick tip for fellow travelers: toothbrushes are not provided in the room, so if you forget yours, remember to ask for one at the front desk.
I was a bit rushed during check-out, so I didn't get a chance to photograph the breakfast buffet area. However, the breakfast buffet actually offered a great ambiance and a wide variety of choices – it was quite good!
Should I visit Shanghai again, I would definitely choose this hotel.

Great location right in the city center, making it convenient to get anywhere. It's about a ten-minute walk to Huanghe Road, and the Shanghai Natural History Museum is right downstairs, next to the park. Even though the weather wasn't great and it rained constantly, the subway station was only a few minutes' walk away.

I was on a business trip to Shanghai during the Qixi Festival. I've always had a great impression of Hilton hotels from my previous stays abroad – their design, quality control, and hygiene are consistently excellent. So, when I saw this newly opened Hilton in the city center nearby, I immediately booked it.
Overall, it was a very comfortable stay. As soon as I arrived, the doorman proactively opened the car door and helped with my luggage. The doormen were consistently observant and attentive whenever I entered or exited, providing seamless and unobtrusive service. The lobby had a pleasant fragrance, and the decor had a very 'Shanghai' feel – stylish, grand, and chic, featuring a magnificent spiral staircase and a statue of Venus. Many couples were taking photos in the lobby.
I had originally booked a King room, but due to Qixi Festival, the front desk upgraded me to a quieter Twin room on the executive floor, and they also included complimentary breakfast. I had planned to try some local Shanghai breakfast specialties nearby, but I ended up having breakfast at the hotel instead. In addition to the standard Western hotel options, they also offered Shanghai specialties like large wontons, pan-fried dumplings, and savory soy milk. In the morning, there was also a Caucasian chef greeting guests at the entrance, likely from the hotel's Italian restaurant. The breakfast environment was very nice, though it did get a bit crowded sometimes with queues, and the layout for circulation was a bit disorganized. Overall, it was still very good.
The room had a very stylish design. It featured a three-way dry/wet separation in the bathroom, and the toilet was a smart toilet with a remote control, which was very convenient. I was pleasantly surprised by the room's layout; where I expected mirrors, there weren't any, and where I didn't expect them, they were placed. This made the entire space feel very open and gave the design a fresh, innovative feel. The window offered city views, and I could see landmarks like Riyueguang Plaza and the Shanghai World Financial Center. It was perfect for watching the clouds drift by and simply unwinding.
I made sure to go for a swim, and the pool was also quite good.
The hotel's location is excellent, right in a central area. In the evening, I took a stroll to the Wukang Building and walked back along Huashan Road. The entire route was perfect for a city walk. Choosing this hotel for my Shanghai trip was a great decision, and it made my stay very comfortable. Wishing the hotel continued success!

I've lost count of how many times I've stayed here, and it's always exceptional. I genuinely don't want to stay at any other hotel in Shanghai now! 😂 All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, especially the lady who assisted me with my check-out at 7 AM on August 22nd. ❤️
The lobby bar offers great drinks, and their seasonal menu is a delightful touch! The only 'downside' is that the beds are *so* incredibly comfortable that after all these stays, I still haven't managed to get myself to the gym in the mornings! 🤣
I also just discovered that Metro Line 7 goes directly to Longyang Road, and Exit 9 is right outside the hotel! This is absolutely perfect for someone like me who gets carsick and prefers taking the subway for airport transfers. 🥰 (And a bonus tip: even if you accidentally take the wrong line, you can exit from Line 2 at Reel Department Store, head to B1, and easily transfer to the Line 7 exit. Super convenient!)

GGuest UserIt was a bit smaller than I expected. It was also in an alley, so it was a bit scary at night. However, the interior was clean, and the two air conditioners kept us cool. And most of all, the owner was so kind. 😭 I arrived early, but he let me check in and delayed my checkout by an hour.
I ordered fruit delivery early in the morning, and he contacted me about the wrong delivery and made sure it arrived correctly. Even though we were foreigners and couldn't communicate, he patiently guided us for over 10 minutes. Thanks to him, we were able to enjoy some delicious fruit. 🥰🥰🥰
There's even a cat in front of the property. This is a place I'd love to stay again next time I'm in Shanghai. 😘

WWiseI stayed with a friend at Shanghai Kuke Zhishang Hotel (Nanjing West Road Subway Station Store) and had a great experience. The room was clean, modern, and well-equipped, making our stay comfortable. The location was perfect — right by the subway and close to shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and efficient, and check-in/check-out was smooth. Highly recommend for friends or travelers looking for convenience and comfort in Shanghai.

FFrankDWhat an unfortunate turn of events – too much alcohol led to a cerebral hemorrhage. After getting IV fluids in the ER at Huashan Hospital affiliated with Fudan University, I was told there were no available beds, so I had to spend the night on a temporary cot. I asked the doctor if I could stay at a nearby hotel, and once he gave permission, I found this hotel right near the hospital. I was a bit worried by some negative reviews, but the positive reviews with photos convinced me. A double room was 212 RMB. When I arrived, the facade was small, but it's in the city center after all. The room itself was very clean and hygienic, with a smart toilet, and the bed was comfortable – certainly more so than a hospital bed. There are also plenty of restaurants downstairs, which is quite convenient. And it's only 1.9 kilometers from the hospital!

GGuest UserThe service was particularly good, the customer service was postponed to 2 o'clock, and Meimei took a nap. The room is a bit small and the others are particularly good. It is very close to the Soong Qingling Memorial Hall and Wukang Building, and it takes only a few minutes to ride a bicycle.

GGuest UserIt was my first time to travel to Shanghai alone. The front desk lady was very gentle when I entered the room on the night of check-in. She even said that she upgraded my room. As we all know, the prices in Shanghai are high. That small place carries my dream of finding my idol. Thank you for the enthusiasm of the front desk lady. Although the room is small, it is clean and tidy, full of Shanghai style. If someone has booked this room type, I hope you can understand. After all, the room is this price. It is really impossible to have a cheap and large room in Shanghai. Shanghai, hope to see you next time.
