Popular Shanghai 4-star Hotels

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times and probably will again, although I did report my room safe was broken a number of times and across a 5 night stay (I had 2 bookings and mentioned this problem in the review against the first booking as well) it was not fixed. It was an unusual blip in what is ordinarily a great experience at this hotel but I mention it as this amenity is very important to many travellers. I haven’t had this problem before - next time I will ask for a new room straight away. Hotel is very well priced for its location (near French concession area and the Bund), ordinary level of service, and while rooms aren’t super new/modern, they are generally well maintained and always clean.

Base SUHE Serviced Apartment in Shanghai is a great choice for travelers. It's in a convenient location near Joy City shopping center and Xinzha Road metro station, making it easy to get around. Guests love the clean rooms, which are tidied up daily, and the useful amenities like a gym and free laundry facilities. The staff are known for being friendly and very helpful, which makes for a pleasant stay. Rooms range from studios to duplexes and are generally spacious and well-kept, although some guests mentioned minor issues with kitchen equipment. The area is quiet, which many guests appreciate, but it can feel a bit out of the way, with a 10-minute walk to the nearest metro and restaurants. Overall, Base SUHE offers good value for money and is recommended for both short-term and long-term stays in Shanghai.

Great experience from check in to check out.. Breakfast buffet available. Great fitness, spa, and swimming pool area that all opens at 8a (late for a fitness area since we like early morning workouts). The from desk staff very organized and accommodating. Room service and other dining options throughout the day available. Perfect location to walk to the Jing’An area and even Kerry Centre. Easy pick up cabins for meituan. Will stay again if I make another appointment.

All round excellence in service, friendliness, cleanliness modern and location. Only five minutes walk to the subway station. One of the best deals I ever had.

Citadines Hotel provides helpful service and clean rooms. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The front desk staff member was friendly and assisted in extending the room during the typhoon. The robot butlers are also very interesting

A bit expensive but close enough to the nice area of Shanghai. There's also a bus in front of the hotel that takes you to the Bund for a small fee. There's enough restaurants and things to see around the hotel too. Good for 1-2 days.

Very nice place to stay ,clean and comfortable.everything is near by,stores,shopping malls,restaurants,cafes,the river is near by ,like 15 min walk from the hotel.

During our stay at the Ramada Plaza Shanghai Pudong Airport Hotel, my teenage daughter and I were impressed from the start. Quick check-in, comfortable rooms with complimentary snacks and efficient restaurant service made our experience a delight. The highlight was the flight simulator tour with an aviation expert. I recently stayed at Howard Johnson Huaihai location in Shanghai and it was outstanding. My stay was exceptional, I can’t explain how formidable staff was. From the security to the cleaners, front staff - the whole team helped me with all my needs daily. Shirley at the front desk provided a warm welcome and invaluable local insights, making my experience very personalized - went above and beyond with excellent recommendations, helping me with issues with purchasing and sending items being new in Shanghai - communicating with me personally on their time off to make sure my stay is pleasant. Yuki, Alex and the entire front staff team as well - even the security guards were consistently attentive and professional, kind, caring, ensuring every need was met. I’ve stayed at many hotels as I am travelling remote full time, and the staff was one of the best I’ve experienced. Overall, the dedication of the staff made my stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this hotel, not to mention the price was good and cleaning was also excellent.

My family truly enjoyed staying in this heritage hotel during our recent trip to Shanghai. The interior is classic and nicely decorated. Location is great with many good local restaurants just next to the hotel. The metro is just at your doorstep. It is within walking distance to the Nanjing pedestrain street and the bund (around 20 mins stroll) or you can just take the metro for 1 to 2 stops away. Will definitely stay again during my next holiday to Shanghai.
