Check in was unfriendly attitude demonstrated by Mr Christian Chang. He refused to consider individual situation as we explained to him that we travelled all the way from Australia and we were on board the plane over 18 hours and we are exhausted. Unfortunately he did show any compassion to our situation. We did check in later

The hotel is modern in design, the rooms are large and clean, the service is good, and the shuttle bus to Pudong Airport is very convenient to book one day in advance. Xiaohan at the front desk helped to collect the express delivery. The service was very efficient when checking in. 👍The stay was comfortable and the mood for playing was also great. I booked a room for my Japanese friend. I have to say the Hilton service is amazing. The front desk upgraded the room for free. At first I was worried that the hotel was too new and would have a smell, but it turned out to be completely unnecessary. The toiletries are also very high-end, and the location is also very good. I feel that this room type, which costs more than 300 yuan, is very cost-effective!

We had a truly wonderful stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Shanghai Lujiazui. From the moment we arrived, the staff made every effort to accommodate our preferences. We requested a room on a higher floor and were delighted to be placed on the 37th floor. The view from our room was simply stunning, one of the best we could have hoped for. The staff throughout the hotel were extremely well mannered, attentive, and always willing to assist. Our room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The complimentary drinks in the fridge were a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. A special mention goes to the housekeeping team who were incredibly patient with our late departures, often not leaving the room until after 14:00 or 15:00. They always made sure our room was cleaned without any issues, which we really appreciated. We also had some packages delivered from Taobao during our stay and want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Lily and Malone. They were exceptionally kind and helpful, going out of their way to assist us in tracking a few lost parcels. Their support made a big difference and we are very grateful for their care and professionalism. Finally, thanks to the gentleman that made the checking and assigned us the room, unfortunately, I don’t recall his name, and Fossette for making the checkout process quick and smooth. All of these thoughtful touches made our stay not just good but truly pleasant and memorable. We would happily stay here again.

In the Hilton official app, you can only pay by credit card, not online. It is located in a residential community, and is adjacent to old and dilapidated residential buildings on both sides. There is no privacy at all in the room without drawing the curtains. A 200 yuan deposit is required for check-in... I suddenly felt like I was back ten or twenty years ago Unlike other Hilton hotels I've stayed in, this one only provided drinking water, no mineral water, and the refrigerator was empty. The room is basically not soundproofed. The auntie who cleans the room in the morning was discussing business loudly outside the door...Shouldn't she complete the training and assessment before taking up the job? The laundry room is very crowded, and can only accommodate two people at most. Washing clothes smells bad. When drying clothes, I saw another experienced customer who may have lived here for a long time washing clothes in the sink... The breakfast was also eye-opening, with few varieties. Except for the noodles cooked to order, the rest was really not as good as some chain hotels that cost three or four hundred yuan. The restaurant is still open to the public, and aunties and uncles who live nearby are sitting there in groups of three or four eating!
