We booked the trip on Trip.com, prepaying. Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Historic District charged us twice. We live in Florida. As soon as I realized this. I sent receipts and screenshots. I’ve been getting the run around from management for the past 4 days..Still no refund. Still no response from the different managers we’ve been told to call back to speak to..Keep calling back to see if he/ she is in.(Paul Komanecky or Lindsey Davis) We are very disappointed with the lack of customer service from management. We just want our money. The hotel was indeed paid twice…Is this normal?

By the river, the room is quite small, the window can see the river, the travel is very convenient, the surrounding seafood is very good, it should be a good hotel in Savannah, parking is quite convenient
Wow, how to begin. The hotel and rooms are quite beautiful and the never ending view along the river with the almost constant movement of gigantic ships, is mesmerized. The location is also perfect with enough restaurants and shops within close proximity that you can find plenty to keep occupied even on the occasional rainy day. Now, with all that said, a caveat to any travelers wanting any semblance of rest. The second floor rooms are pure nightmare. There appears to be some sort of a supply room on that floor. The staff likes to use it for rather loud gossip and partying and when not in use by the staff, there apparently is a bowling league practice in there! The noise from tables and chairs and dishes being moved around at times even late into the night is just aggregating! The walls offer absolutely NO help in reducing the racket. Would we return to River Street Inn again? YES! As a matter of fact, we can't wait to return but, only if we would be guaranteed a room on the 4th or 5th floor!
Perfect spot to rest your head after spending the day in the historic district- it’s quiet, clean and beautiful. A quick walk to the riverfront and a fantastic view of the ships coming through on the river.
Facilities: very complete

The hotel by the Savannah River should be the best local hotel among the regular hotels. The only dissatisfaction is that the management is a bit messy. We have been deducting our credit card at random, and the fee has never been clarified. Through the unremitting communication of the Ctrip housekeeper, it is finally confirmed that the overcharge has been charged. I have not received a refund yet. I hope everything goes well.
Love this hotel directly on River St with easy access to food, shops, and river. Have stayed here all 3 trips to Savannah and will continue when we come again. The customer service is great beginning with the valet and this carries all the way through to housekeeping. Love it. See you again soon

As a Savannah local, we can’t say enough about the Desoto and its staff. We evacuated from the islands for Hurricane Ian and were fortunately granted a safe stay-cation in our beautiful city. We loved that the hotel was pet friendly so we could bring our sweet pup, Miss Lady, with us. She had a wonderful time as the staff and guests were most attentive. Our room was lovely and well appointed. The hotel itself is beautiful, has great onsite amenities, and frankly, you can’t beat its central location. Walk either direction along Bull Street and you are right where you want to be. Thank you Mitch, Becky, and all of the spectacular hospitality team at the Desoto. Highly recommend!

Outstanding
TTAOIt is said to be the most historic hotel in Savannah. Once you enter the hotel, you can feel its classical elegance. The doorman is very enthusiastic and the front desk service is very attentive. We arrived too early, the room had not been sorted out, and we specially left our phone. We noticed that we had checked in when the room came out. In the lobby and other family procedures, I also specially brought free mineral water. The room is wooden and the furniture is old furniture. Have a strong sense of art. It is worthy of being a hotel in the city of Savannah with a strong artistic atmosphere.
GGuest UserStaff were exceptional--everyone from front desk staff to the bartender and breakfast staff. All very nice and accommodating. Rooms were very clean and had what we needed. They don't have a gym on site but have a relationship with a local gym for hotel guests (if that matters to you). We were able to walk into the downtown area and felt safe doing so (about .5 miles from our hotel) but they also offer a shuttle with a very lovely driver who took great care of us! I would recommend this hotel if staying in Savannah.
GGuest UserPreviously we've saved money by staying outside the city of Savanah, but never again. This hotel was right near the river walk area. No need to pay for parking and so nice to walk right from the hotel to the restaurants and shops along the river. Can be tricky to find as the sign is not easily seen.
LLavic/This is an AMAZING hotel. I got a really great stay besides they did alarm test on Thursday Monday with no warning. So I wake up about 10am, LITERALLY JUMP UP OUT OF THE BAD, naked and scared almost run trough the hallway. But the AMAZING STUFF APOLOGIZED. I am sure I will stay at TRU by HILTON anywhere like my next trip I’m tomorrow to COLUMBIA. Thank you?
AAriel AlexandraChecking in at the beginning was a bit of a mess and there was no parking nearby, but the rooms were really spacious and seemed well kept. I guess that’s the trade off for a good price.
The location was great. It it wasn’t so hot we could’ve walked most places we wanted to go. As it is, we still mostly walked places.
The parking was all metered and we had to get up at 8 AM everyday, because it would only let you fill it for a certain amount of time. Not the best when you wanna sleep in.
I book this room specifically for the location and to have access to a washing machine, so I was pretty happy with it. It was nice that one person could hang out in the living room and one in the bedroom to give each other a bit of space.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located on the edge of the historic district, so it is a quick 10-15 minute walk to either River Street or even Forsyth Park. Even the standard suites are larger than most other similar properties. The beds were comfortable and the linens and towels were above average. All employees from the front desk to the breakfast servers and cleaning staff were very pleasant and friendly. Rated lower in the facility category as the outside landscaping by the sidewalks was **** filled and over grown. This really detracted from the exterior appearance. The fitness was large and has a good amount of cardio equipment but only had one, torn workout bench, no area/mats for core work and the hand weights were missing all 20lb and 25lb pairs. There should be other strength training options. The breakfast food options were presented in an attractive manner with good over all quality.
PPINGThere is a parking lot opposite, but the charge is not cheap. I lived in a sofa bed, the service staff was very kind and very safe. After 11 o'clock in the evening, the door was closed and the card was checked in. There was a black brother on duty at the door. The bed is very comfortable and very high. It is very high. I use it. The old beauty facilities are simple and practical. They are not luxurious but not refined but strong!
Eelsashen0529Forsyth Water Law Park is the largest park green space in Savannah. The water law in the center of the park is a typical European style. There are many residential houses around the park. Many are full of design. It is estimated that this should be the most expensive place in Savannah.
Eelsashen0529Savannah is a port and tourist city on the Atlantic coast of Georgia. Savannah is also the host city of the 1996 Summer Olympics sailing competition in Atlanta! Savannah City was founded in 1733, the capital of Georgia Province, the British colony, and later became the first state capital of Georgia. Savannah is named after the Savannah River and its origins are also from the bank. Today, walk to the Savannah River to see the Bund. Keep the old road, the riverside cargo ship sculpture, look at the suspension bridge between Georgia and South Carolina, the old power plant remodeled showroom, the old tools on the wall for visitors to visit, to each house trestle bridge.
MmxyunHuaiyang cuisine is one of the four traditional Chinese cuisines, originating from Yangzhou and Huai'an. The cuisine is full of Huai and Yang characteristics. The raw materials are mainly aquatic products, Huaiyang cuisine is mostly based on rivers and lakes, supported by top cooking skills, with the original flavor and color as the first class, with the pursuit of Miaoqi people, elegant and common taste without losing its elegance, especially the unique concept of "peace, fineness, clarity and new". [2] In Huaiyang cuisine, "Yang" is Yangcai, the Yangtze River basin represented by Yangzhou area, "Huai" is Huaihuai cuisine, and the Huai'an area is Huaihe River basin represented.
LLara LeisureIf you wish to visit Savannah, Georgia and you’re a fan of Forrest Gump then you must visit this place. This is in between BULL AND MCDONOUGH STREETS.
AAlex Hotel LoverThe river street has many great places to stay, shop, eat, and have fun. Stay the weekend in one of the riverfront hotels like the Marriott. I would recommend going to the Brew Pub just of of river street and get a in jar cheesecake.
