"We arrived at night. The driver followed the navigation and went around twice but couldn't find the entrance to the building. Later, he asked people and found out that the entrance to the building could not be parked either. He could only park about 100 meters away from the building. He pushed 4 large suitcases and 3 small suitcases across the cobblestone road to the entrance of the building, and had to carry the heavy suitcases up several steps. There was no waiter to help with the luggage. There was only one waiter at the front desk to check in. The room was large and the kitchen was clean, but there was no bottled water, not even a hair dryer and a mouthwash cup, no toothpaste or toothbrush, but disposable slippers. Breakfast is in another building and needs to be booked in advance, otherwise you will have to wait for a long time. Breakfast is not a buffet, but you have to sit down and order. The waiter was indifferent, probably because he was too busy. Downstairs was very lively at night, with several restaurants and people coming and going. "There was an issue with this booking, and the same was made by mistake on the evening of the 12th of August and was made for the 12th of August instead of the 13th. The hotel was not full, and when I contacted Trip.com and the hotel reception, I was made to make a new booking and no refund was offered for the room. The people and businesses in the United Kingdom have been known to be very empathetic and humane, unlike the US and do understand other human beings. This was not the case here, and I was shown the refund policy by the hotel and the website that is trip.com. Even from trip I did expect more as I booked for the 13th too from their website. Thus, not a great experience. Very disappointed with Trip.com not even refund the taxes. The gym at the hotel is very small. Near the water is good."

"We absolutely love our stay at the apartment. It was such a very nice accommodation, very clean and customer service is great. With just short notice able to arrange our request. Highly recommended to all my friends and family."

There are McDonald's and tesco around to solve three meals a day, and the surrounding environment is quite good; slightly smaller than domestic hotel rooms; no air conditioning but equipped with a small fan; There is a desk but the area is small and there are fans and coffee tea bags and cups piled up, so there is basically no office space. If it is a domestic hotel, it can give 3 stars or even less, but compared with other British and Japanese hotels I have been to, it can get close to 4 stars."

"I had a great stay at Holiday Inn Express Manchester – Salford Quays. The hotel was clean, modern, and comfortable, with all the essentials for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and efficient, and check-in was quick and smooth. One of the highlights was the location – it offered easy access to football games at Old Trafford, which was just a short walk away, as well as convenient public transport connections to the city centre and beyond. A solid and stress-free choice for anyone visiting Manchester, especially for football fans. I’d happily stay here again."

"Front desk was welcoming and friendly Price was best for city centre only being 20ish minutes walk away Room was okay, quite spacious but TV didn’t work, heater was not on when walked in, and there were mould on ceilings due to probably water leakages from toilets above. It was quite bland but can’t complain too much because price reflected this. However, would stay again for a cheap night in Manchester"
