I've stayed at Atour S twice before and had a really great experience. But this time, I can honestly say I'll never stay at the Atour S Luohu Shenzhen again.
1. Right off the bat, they asked me to pay 198 RMB for a membership. What's that about? Before, they always offered free room upgrades or complimentary breakfast, even when I stayed in Wuhan.
2. Previously, there were always staff members by the elevators guiding guests on which elevator to take and where to transfer. This time, I was completely disoriented, going back and forth, transferring multiple times within the elevators. Sometimes floor 35 wouldn't stop, then I'd have to exit, then transfer again.
3. Around 11 PM, the robot delivered my takeout (room 3715) to someone else. I was already tired and had to wait another ten minutes for them to sort it out. If they're short-staffed, they should hire more people.
I choose Atour specifically to maintain a good quality of sleep and service, but honestly, I've never had a worse experience than this!"
