We stayed at the Rosslea overnight as part of a road trip. Lovely location with a view of the loch. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food excellent. We were informed beforehand of a large party for dinner so we expected a slight delay to our meal which was not an issue for us. The bed and pillows were super comfy as they were firm, which is how we like it and the room comfortable. The bathroom was a little tired and the flush a little stiff as it has push buttons in the wall, which I found a little difficult due to arthritis but it did not detract from our stay. Breakfast was excllent. I would recommend staying here for the traditional Scottish vibe
Having booked in on the 24/12/2023 with my service dog. I was told that the room I had booked in September of this year. Was not allocated to me. Which happened to be a sea view room. I was offered a downstairs carpark room for disabled person with wheelchair access. On entering the room ,all looked good at first sight. On closer inspection. The room had I'll fitting window. That it was not possible to close fully. There was also damage from damp to the lower part of the wall from damp, beneath the window. The plumbing in the wet room was at best poor quality. A single very small sink and low mirror above. Which some time for the warm water to come through the tap. And the shower had also poor pressure and I had to wait for some time again to receive warm water. And the fitting for the handheld shower was next to useless. The toilet seat had been replaced at some point previously with one of the wrong size and was not fit for purpose. The toilet bowl it's self had two large cracks in the sides of it, on the inside. The breakfast was faultless, and had a good selection on offer for all dietary requirements. which could not be said for the one and only main meal I had from the venue. which consisted of a chewy tasteless meat pie, a small scoop of mash potato, four uncooked pieces of broccoli, and a small cup of gravy. Obviously there to try and soften the wood like broccoli. And at just over £11.00 pounds was a total rip off. Will I be eating there again I don't think so. And just to top it off 1 pint of Guinness at £5.00 a glass.

From our arrival at the hotel we were warmly greeted by all staff and we were a bit early for check in but as our rooms were ready it was not a problem and we were allowed access . Some of the rooms are not spacious as it is a small hotel but recently refurbished with nice furnishings and beautiful walk in showers . We had booked for a meal at 6pm as it was part of the package, there was a good choice , the food was lovely and generous portions . While dining the manager Gary came to chat about our 5pm booking and the fact the company had just gone bust but to reassure us that they would honour our vouchers and they would take the £300 hit . So all in all we had a very pleasant experience at this hotel .
Just Wow , couldn't have had a more pleasant stay, the staff were very hard working, cleaning staff are very special people, work tirelessly to keep it absolutely spotless and it is. new style Ikea style beds, clean all new bathrooms and that new feel about the whole place, couldn't do enough for me and my business associate. Absolute Bargain too for the quality top marks to the lovely owner and always a pleasure to meet lovely people.

Hotel decorated really nice. Very clean and tidy. Food and drink, fine, but overprice but it’s a hotel so you accept that. No complaints. But for the price of a room for £200 odd room was basic and small. I have stayed in premier inn in the centre of London which was more spacious! The important part of any hotel is a GOOD COMFORTABLE BED. We had a basic small double bed which was just about big enough for one person. I’m just about 6 foot and my feet were basically dangling of the edge. And the mattress and pillow were the most uncomfortable I have ever felt. And I’ve stay in a lot of hotels! Such as shame as the most important part of it put a dampener on the whole experience. Advice, for the price it costs to stay invest in some half decent comfortable bedding please!
