"The place is clean, the location is good, the dinner is unexpectedly good, very high-quality Western food accompanied by the sunset, very romantic. Breakfast is simple, both Japanese and Western are delicious and very satisfying. The waiter was very kind!"

"Everything is fine except the ordered dinner...it's a trap if we are not calmed enough to see the hot pot...we ordered in the expensive beef but came out was fish! We were looking forward to that special dinner which was booked in advance early in that morning. As we asked why it was not beef? Their explanations were because sort of beef therefore replaced by fish...The point is that why didn't tell us as we sat in? We paid the most expensive price for the menu but got the common fish, if we didn't voice out...the story was ended. After the complaints, they refunded @¥2000 for that costed ¥9000 expensive meal. It is a poor meal, unfresh ingredients with fare cooking method, not valuable at the description on such expensive price!"

"The room is spacious and bright, the tatami is very comfortable to sleep, the Japanese garden outside the window, quiet and beautiful, the calligraphy in the room ”pine leaves ancient and modern” highlights the artistic nature of the decoration, it seems that the traditional culture of Chinese calligraphy in Japan is still deeply rooted in the people! Breakfast is also very good, the weight is more sufficient."

"Fantastic Onsen hotel..located on the hill top, all rooms assigned overlooking into the OKHOTSK SEA, with huge room and shower room are separated from the WC. The hotel provide a shuttle bus from UTORO ONSEN BUS TERMINAL and will pick up guests from here. Another good point is,there is a Airport Bus Liner which comes direct to the hotel to pick guestyfor drop off at Shiretoko Shari Bus terminal enroute to Mambabetsu Airport. The breakfast is really yummy with lots of spread however the buffet dinner is average and the same spread for the two nites I stayed. Where else the ONSEN, I would give a 4/5. Another good point to note is those coming by train to Shiretoko Shari station, opposite is the Shari Bus terminal which provides transer to the UTORO ONSEN BUS TERMINAL.in about 50 mins. Overall Shireto Daiichi Hotel is a big luxurious hotel and they provide shuttle for onwards bus transfer to the SHIRETOKO NATURE PARK which is so beautiful to wander out to seek nature's awesomeness."

"The hotel has a certain age, but it is not old. The door lock does not lock automatically. You need to lock it with a key when you go out. The uncle at the front desk took the trouble to explain this, and also explained the location of the restaurant and bathing area, usage hours, etc. He was very professional and enthusiastic. There is no charge for the parking lot here. The room I was given was a Western-style room with a large area. There was no smell in the room and the cleanliness was ideal. The air conditioner can adjust the heating and cooling modes by itself, which is a very good setting. The hotel price includes breakfast and dinner. It is held in the buffet style at the same restaurant. The food is mainly Japanese style. This may be because the hotel is mainly locals. There are 3 indoor and outdoor pools in the bathhouse, but there are also many people using it. There will be less people in the bath later. The hotel is located on a mountain, and the nearest convenience store is also at the bottom of the mountain. Fortunately, there is a store in the lobby where you can buy drinks. If you need to visit the Shiretoko Five Lakes in the morning, this hotel is very convenient. The price of the hotel is very affordable in terms of hot spring hotels. "Eat very well. The restaurant has a very nice view. Nothing else, so expensive or public baths, public hot springs, public toilets. Oh Japan. It’s a bit far from the bus station, you can ask the staff at the bus station to call the hotel to pick you up. When I left, I also helped to send it to the bus station. "It is a large B&B on a hillside. The owner will explain everything about staying here very carefully to the customers. It is very impressive. The whole environment is well organized and well managed. It makes you feel at home. This time I stayed in a new hotel. "The room is very good. It is really nice to have a five-star hotel in such an inconvenient place. I booked a one-night stay and two-night stay, but it is not very convenient on the mountain. It can only be picked up by phone at the Utoro Bus Center. Because I stayed in the Chief the night before, I had to rush to the Shiretoko Center early in the morning. I didn't want to carry my luggage. I booked a hike in the afternoon. The driver would take me to Kiki. But the luggage couldn't walk, so I wanted to go to Kiki to store my luggage first. Time was a bit tight, so the lady boss of the Chief took me up. In addition to transportation, this hotel is good, with large rooms, free hot springs, and very few people. There are free popsicles and drinks at the door, and there is a forest-themed rest area in the lobby with free coffee, chocolate cookies and cheese. From the moment we arrived, it became clear this experience would rival any five-star destination we’ve ever visited. Our room was a slice of paradise—spacious, serene, and offering a panoramic view of the breathtaking sea. Perfect for a moment of calm after a day of exploring. It was hard to tear ourselves away from the window, with its infinite horizon stretching beyond the blue waters. The bath experience was equally indulgent, with Dyson and Refa hairdryers in the public bath area. The soap and shampoo provided in the public baths? Luxurious, premium products that they also retail on-site. A small but significant touch that elevates this from your average onsen. Where do I even begin with the buffet? It was nothing short of culinary theatre. Imagine live cooking stations serving up dishes with the flair of a fine dining restaurant. From sashimi so fresh, it redefined how I think about lean tuna—the texture was almost reminiscent of beef!—to the incredibly generous portions of salmon roe. A unique pumpkin and sweet potato creation was the surprise highlight, and I couldn’t help but indulge in multiple helpings of the organic apple, crisp and fresh like it was picked that very morning. For fitness enthusiasts, there’s even a decent gym—a rarity for many onsen hotels. Meanwhile, the 24-hour lounge provides a range of delectable snacks, all of which are sold in their store. And though the prices may seem steep, the taste makes them worth every yen. The free daily scoop of Peter Beier ice cream was simply divine. Made with Hokkaido milk, the vanilla was already a showstopper, but the pistachio took the experience to another level. After this, it was impossible not to purchase their chocolate truffles—pricey, but easily worth the splurge. The experience extends outside the hotel, where an outdoor foot bath awaits with a view that will make you feel like you’ve entered another world. As long as the weather cooperates, this is an experience not to be missed. In short, Kitakobushi Shiretoko Hotel & Resort might officially be a 3-star, but in our hearts, it’s a five-star experience through and through. A perfect blend of luxury, nature, and comfort, it’s an onsen resort that deserves to be on every discerning traveller’s radar."
