Wonderful stay in the heart of Rome I had a lovely stay at the Hotel Nazionale during my trip to Rome with my spouse. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the historic center and just a short walk from the beautiful Pantheon. It was incredibly convenient to explore the city on foot, with many great restaurants, cafés, and historic landmarks nearby. One thing we really appreciated was how safe the area felt. The hotel is located right next to the Palazzo Montecitorio, which houses the Italian Parliament, so there is always a visible security presence around the square. Another nice bonus is that one of Rome’s most famous gelato spots, Giolitti, is just a short walk away—perfect for an evening stroll and dessert. The hotel itself has a charming classic Roman atmosphere. Our room was comfortable, clean, and surprisingly quiet considering how central the location is. The staff were warm, professional, and always happy to help with recommendations. Their hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, staying here made our visit to Rome even more memorable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and very well-located place to stay in Rome, and I would happily return on my next visit.

Warm heart, convenient, thanks for the arrangement

I stayed for four nights straight, so I think I'm pretty qualified to give an opinion. The location is great; it's a 5-minute walk to the train station and a 10-minute walk to the metro. Once I got my bearings, I primarily used the bus since there's a bus stop right outside. One route goes directly to Termini, and another goes near the Colosseum, both taking about 20-30 minutes. The hotel breakfast was good, and the room was quiet. There's also a pizza place and a small convenience store right across from the hotel.

Great communication with Stefania regarding our arrival at the hotel. The location is ideal for exploring Rome, very close to the metro, or for quickly grabbing an electric bike or scooter. The room is very clean with everything you need, in a pleasant building. In short... highly recommended and a place to remember for a future visit with my partner. Grazie Stefania...

This hotel is super convenient, literally just a left turn out of Termini Station. It's a small place, very old-school, and while the rooms are simple, they're spotless. There's a charming courtyard right outside the front desk, which I sadly didn't get to enjoy because I was always on the go. I booked a room with breakfast included, and it was excellent value for money. The area is on a main street, so it feels very safe, and it's incredibly easy to hop on various public transport options from Termini. I'd definitely recommend it for solo travelers visiting Rome for the first time – it's safe and hassle-free.

As always, this hotel is a sure bet. The staff are kind and professional, and the breakfast is superb. Both the breakfast and restaurant staff are always attentive and courteous. Dinner was very good, even though we arrived late due to a train delay. The only minor issues I found were in the room: the terrace door didn't close properly, and the kettle wasn't working. These are minor problems that shouldn't exist given the hotel's nightly rate and they did impact my overall rating, which otherwise would have been absolutely excellent. Nevertheless, we were very satisfied this time as well.

The room decor seems a bit dated, but it was very clean. It's close to Termini Station, yet surprisingly quiet. You can easily walk to attractions like the Colosseum. The only downside is the limited space in the shower, so if you're a larger person, you might want to consider that. Free luggage storage is a great bonus, and the cappuccino at breakfast was excellent too.

The location is fantastic! It's only a 10-minute walk from the train station. From the station, you can take line A to the Vatican, and just a 3-minute walk left from the hotel, you can catch line B to the Colosseum. Basically, you can see all the main attractions in two days by taking four metro rides. Breakfast is included, though the taste is just so-so. You can also store your luggage, and for this price, it's really great value for money.

The room is clean, people are very comfortable, good breakfast! The hotel is antique but they have been well treated, inside the bathroom finds the toothpaste, dental stick, soap, etc. There is no mini bar. The night is very quiet. The area near the University, there are restaurants, bars, supermarkets, very easy to add to the bus, metro. Excellent quality- price, I advise you!

This was the first hotel I stayed at during my trip to Italy. The ”mountain lodge” was actually just a series of small wooden cabins, each containing only a bed and basic bedding. The shared bathroom and toilet were a 100-meter walk away, and the reception desk was 200 meters away. Aside from a pizzeria and a T-bone steakhouse, there were no other shops nearby, requiring a 2-kilometer walk. Although the lodge offered one shuttle bus each morning and evening, getting around was extremely inconvenient unless you had your own car. When I arrived, a local Italian gentleman was dropping someone off. Thinking I was using a ride-hailing service and asking for a price, he simply asked my destination and took me there for free. I don't know how I would have gotten there without meeting him; I was incredibly grateful. I strongly advise against travelers staying at this lodge, as transportation and dining options are extremely inconvenient.
