The hotel was conveniently located 5-min from Termini train station and the FCO airport shuttle bus and hop on hop off bus stops just across. We stayed 2 times during our 2 week stay in Rome - over night stay before heading down to Civitavecchia Port for MSC cruise and 4 night stay upon return from the cruise ship. We used the hotel storage service for one of our luggage bags for a week during our 7-day cruise. The hotel staffs were friendly.

Located in the middle of tourist spots in Rome, but awful service. Firstly, when you enter the hotel with all the lagugage, there are many steps which make it difficult to carry your stuff. The room was very small, I wanted to heat up my food, they said the microwave doesn't work or exist 🙄🙄🙄🙄the worst part was breakfast only hot thing on the menue was scrambled eggs ham, which were both tasteless 😳😳watermelon was the only available fruit, which most days they brought lame excuses why they can't have it, 🤔🤔🤔the juice was powder mixed with water 🤔🙄😱, the cakes and cheese were entirely tasteless, mainly factory packaging, not homemade, for a hotel with this price, the breakfast is awful 😣😣😣

I would have liked to rate the hotel as 4.5* however our room was at the front of the hotel and even with the windows shut it was very noisy from the large road junction outside, plus there was noise from other residents and tvs in other rooms, maybe some soundproofing needs to be carried out. That having been said the location was excellent, an easily walkable distance to main attractions, plus a metro stop is directly outside the hotel. The area felt safe at night and there some very good restaurants to try which are only minutes away. Should you wish to go shopping then there are plenty of non-designer shops to choose from nearby including a very good department store called COIN. Our room was a good size and had a lovely bathroom. The bed was large and extremely comfortable, the linen was super soft. Cleaning through the hotel was of a high standard. Breakfast was excellent, everything you might want and the most delicious scrambled eggs I have ever had in a hotel. There were salads, pastries, cakes, fresh fruit, yoghurts, different cured meats and cheeses, sausages and bacon and vegetarian options. Top marks for the hard working breakfast staff. A great start to the day. Staff generally were friendly and helpful. At reception were snacks and drinks to welcome you which was a nice gesture. The hotel also has a small restaurant, ideal for lunches or if you are too exhausted to leave the hotel at night. We had pizzas and salads there a couple of times for lunch and they were very good. The reception area is good with couches, they will look after your baggage if you have a late flight. A very enjoyable stay.

The hotel is in a good location, and the surrounding area is relatively quiet. It takes 15 to 20 minutes to walk to the Spanish Square, the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. It also takes about 15 minutes to take a taxi to the Vatican and the Colosseum. The hotel's service response speed is quite fast. In terms of facilities, the bedroom is relatively large, but the design of the bathroom is hard to describe. The toilet and the washbasin are next to each other, and the bathroom door is also fighting with the toilet. The design is very anti-human. Overall, it's not bad, and the price is expensive

We stayed at Hotel ISA for 12 nights, and couldn't have picked a better location. It was in walking distance to many of the sights, and convenient to the Metro. The breakfast on the terrace was wonderful with a great view and variety of food. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The air conditioning was not on yet (which we found out is normal for Europe this time of year), and we requested a fan for our room. Within an hour or 2 they had delivered a floor fan which was a big help sleeping at night. The room was also equipped with soundproof widows. There are also many restaurants and gelato places near by for convenience. I would like to thank the staff for making our stay great, and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

The hotel was lovely. Central for everything. Clean and well appointed. Breakfast was wonderful and the rooms were a very good size. Staff were very friendly and considerate. The hotel was close to all the sites and many lovely restaurants.

I originally lived in Campo de' Fiori and moved here temporarily. Rome is expensive and crowded. It is really not easy to book a satisfactory hotel in Rome. Plus it is the peak season, so it is really difficult to choose. Now let’s evaluate this George Indigo:
1. Location: The hotel is still in the historical center, and this location is quite convenient;
2. Room: Don’t expect a big room in Rome (except if you are rich and willful). This room is already big, the bed is big enough, and the mattress is comfortable;
3. Breakfast: Breakfast is average. But it seems that breakfast in Italy is like this. There are not many varieties. There are only a few of everything that should be available, such as bread, eggs, ham, sausage, and yogurt. It can't be compared with domestically. Can eat enough.
4. Service: The service is warm and professional. major.
Overall: Overall it’s pretty good. This time we stayed in Italy for 20 days, and we also stayed in Rome for 6 or 7 days. We also stayed in a 16th-century local old hotel, a B&B apartment, and a resort hotel, which is a major international brand group. Chain hotels are relatively stable, there are no big surprises, but there won’t be too many mistakes (in B&Bs, there are always surprises or shocks)
It should be included in my choice when I go to Rome in the future.

This was my second stay here visiting Rome unfortunately, each time we were plagued with a challenge-not the fault of the hotel but nonetheless challenging. This time a broken water main resulted in a very challenging situation. The staff did the best they could under the circumstances but I was disappointed that the hotel offered no compensation for the disruption. We tried changing hotels but were offered no options. Thankful the water was restored by the end of the day but it was very challenging. The staff did a great job but IHG should have offered something to the guests. It is still a good landing place to visit Rome and we will return

The hotel is in a great location if you want to be near Rome’s main train station, it’s just behind the corner and takes less than a 5 minutes walk to get there. It’s also relatively close to the Colosseum, 15 minutes walk.
The staff is nice and friendly, the room was bigger than expected and the bathroom too. Differently from other hotels in Rome, this one has a new modern building all by itself.
Breakfast was ok, complete.
Was a bit disappointed as there were no slippers and toothbrush, had to call and ask for them to be sent up. Also, there was no free bottled water in the room, I arrived at 11pm after a long journey and couldn’t even have some water as there was only a mini-fridge with sodas and alcoholic beverages to buy.
Check-out is at 11:00 (too early in my opinion); WiFi was good. The room has a safe.
You need to pay cash for a “6 Euros tourist stay tax” to the city when you check-out.
Carpet in the room felt dusty and bathroom had a slight smell of old or something.
Was surprised to learn this is a 4 star hotel, I thought it was 3 stars.

I stayed in this hotel from 13-15th May. A new and comfortable hotel with friendly staff. On the early morning of 15/5, I found that my eyes seemed to have inflammation and the condition was deteriorating rapidly. I went downstairs around 5am to the reception and met a gentleman wearing glasses ( I recalled his name was Ricardo but my spelling was probably incorrect as I did not know italian language. My sincere apology to him first) He was aware of my conditions but said that there was no on-site doctor available at the moment. He told me that if I considered my condition serious, he could call an ambulance for me. As I have to check out at 0745 hours going to Florence, I immediately requested Ricardo to call an ambulance for me. The ambulance arrived very soon. After examination, the paramedics were satisfied that my condition was emergency and sent me to the nearby Policlinico Universitario Campus Bio-Medico where I received swift and professional treatment led by Dr Bucci Chiara. I was discharged shortly after 7am and returned to my tour group to carry on my visit before 8am. Dr Bucci Chiara was so kind to guide me where to take the Uber. In this matter, I deeply appreciated all involved including Ricardo, who asked my wife about my conditions before going off duty, the two ambulance paramedics, Dr Bucci Chiara and her medical/nursing colleagues. They all displayed a high degree of professionalism, dedication and enthusiasm towards their job. I felt that they are all very kind, generous, helpful people. I told other members in my tour group and they also found it amazing. Italy is such a wonderful place. I look forward to visiting Italy again very soon. Thank you to them all.

GGuest UserBooking was easy, I ended up needing a few changes n they always responded promptly. Upon arrival we were greeted n treated like vip. The room was amazing! Just what we needed to relax and accommodate my last minute w/c need. We always had the refrigerator full of waters after a long day site seeing. Breakfast was spectacular, such a variety, something for everyone! On the last leg of our trip I got sick (not covid) and needed to go to hospital. Amelio was amazing, compassionate and so helpful! He, instead of giving direction to hospital, sent us back to our room and had the doctor come to the room! The doctor was so kind and took care of my needs immediately. I can’t say enough about the staff at this hotel! We will definitely be returning for our next European adventure since this one didn’t go quite as planned. I wish I could give more that 5 stars as they deserve it!

GGuest UserI have never been to a place where a hotel feels like home. This is one of the amazing benefits of staying in Ostello Bello. The staff, bartenders, and night shift felt like absolute family by the end and I truly will never stay anywhere else while in Rome. Fravio (hope I am spelling that right) made my trip with his kind and friendly demeanor. All of the bartenders made me feel at home and welcome at all times. Treating me more than fairly in every citrcumstance. The rooms were clean and nice, with working showers and good facilities. I truly have nothing negative to say about my visit.

When I travel, I search out family run bed & breakfasts and or small boutique hotels. Why? The people. People make the difference. On this trip to Rome, I was traveling with my father. I was looking for a small boutique hotel in a quiet location but a location from which all of Rome is easily accessible by walking. I couldn’t have dreamed up a more perfect property than Hotel Monte Cenci. Located on the Via Beatrice Cenci, a quiet location just one block from the Tiber River, and surrounded by gorgeous buildings with window boxes spilling over with geraniums, the Hotel Monte Cenci is a livable work of art. Designed in a historic palazzo this 30-room hotel feels more like a stay in a beautiful private home. Entering from Via Beatrice notice the two story marble lobby flanked by book cases which run the length of the lobby behind the reception desk. You will be greeted as though you are a long friend coming home for a visit. At the south end of the lobby is a magnificent 2 story window that allows light from the lobby to flood into the hotel bar. Just a few steps down from the lobby is a reception room and access to either the elevator to your room or use the stairs. We utilized the stairs. The bedrooms are generous in size with plush bedding, gorgeous ensuite bathrooms (some bathrooms have marble sink tops from historic hotel in Rome), casement triple glazed windows with views onto the surrounding buildings and streets in this quiet enclave. We enjoyed breakfast every morning on the rooftop terrace. In the afternoon the terrace with its lush plantings and awnings is a great place to escape for a quick nap or down time reading a book-also great in the evenings for a glass of wine or an Aperol Spritz. The location is perfect. Every attraction is walkable and the best way, and only way in my opinion, to see Rome is to walk. Rome is an open-air museum full of art and architecture and history. Stroll down streets, take the alley way, follow the delicious scents, and discover a small neighborhood osteria or bar. Shop the shops away from the large tourist attractions. Discover a fountain in a piazza and take the time to see Rome, truly see Rome. The beauty of staying in a small boutique hotel is that the people at the hotel will also share with you their favorite places to eat, shop, sip and walk and share historical tidbits. I cannot find the words to express how wonderful the people at the Hotel Monte Cenci are. They are kind, informative, helpful, funny, welcoming and feel like family. Whether first thing in the morning or late in the evening I looked forward to every interaction with all members of the staff. They make you feel as though you are a family member visiting. So, while the location is not in the centre of Rome, it is within 7 mins of the Circo Massimo Metro, which will get you to the vast majority of major attractions within 15-20 mins. However, for those of you who like me, love to walk and explore places, it's the perfect compromise. Literally, on the doorstop of attractions of such as Circo Massimo, Knights of Malta Keyhole, The Mouth of Truth and the Altare della patria. There are other sights to see while walking from the hotel. On arrival at the hotel, the staff there were fantastic in looking after me. I'd had a bit of a long walk, so I was looking a bit hot and flustered, so she immediately offered me water and assistance. The hotel itself was beautiful. It was really quiet and peaceful. The room and facilities were superb. I had a robe, slippers, and tea making facilities. Curiously there didnt appear to be a safe, but didn't need one so never asked any questions. The slight downside side was that there was no breakfast served. However, there is a cafe 100 metres down the road who do a lovely breakfast. As a solo traveller, it was too bad but a family may think differently. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard which would be perfect for breakfast or evening meals. I guess it must be a purely financial decision. The staff were particularly helpful and friendly. I have to govd credit to those on duty on 21st ans 22nd May. They were a credit to the hotel. In summary, a great hotel, great facilities, great value and wonderful staff.

GGuest UserWe stayed for 4 nights at the Holiday Inn, the airport shuttle was not available to bring us from the airport but we were able to get it back so can't really complain. No problems with check in, the ladies on reception were very friendly as was everyone we encountered at the hotels. Rooms were good size, very clean and serviced every day. Breakfast has plenty of variety there is something for everyone, honestly if you couldn't find something to eat its not the hotels fault. The hot food isn't exactly hot but the hotel caters for large numbers so its not a cooked to order type of place and again if you want a full English this is not the place to go. We ate a few nights in the restaurant and to be honest if was very hit and miss, pizza was good as was the pasta dishes. we had the chicken one night and it wasn't the best. Kids eat free so added bonus. The gym is well equipped. the pool was being renovated so we got to use the pool a few minutes walk from the hotel again it would have been nice to be informed that the pool was being renovated just so we would have had choice about our booking but again nothing major about a few minutes walk. The bar is really lovely to have a drink and chill but the hotel when we stayed was very busy so didn't get a real opportunity to sit and relax there. No major complaints from us but would have loved a fridge in the room it was super hot outside and would have been nice to have the complimentary water chilled. On our last night a tour group arrived so there was a lot of banging of doors and people talking in the corridor late in the night, nothing the hotel can do about loud individuals being inconsiderate to those asleep but other than that a very nice stay. Reception sell the train tickets into Rome and the station is a short walk away. The area is a bit run down but that's nothing to do with the hotel. We would be back to see the renovations in the pool area. Thank you

JjimmyzhangyeThe first hotel to stay after arriving in Italy, 7-8 minutes walk from the subway station. There is a bus at the door to the Plaza de Espana. Because the surrounding areas are residential areas, it feels that prices are much cheaper than scenic spots. The bed at Best Western is still very comfortable, but the Italian double bed is composed of two beds. If there are children sleeping, it is better to make a large bed.

GGuest UserLocation is amazing, walking distance to Termini train Station. Metro and Busstop 200m. Very clean, good breakfast although Coffee was cold one morning. Has A/C and a small fridge, didnt use it though. Stated in a Single room w a Single bed, very comfy. Shower is very small so a 'bigger' person might have problems to get in the shower. WLAN works perfectly. Stuff is nice. Restaurants are close. Stated 3 nights it was perfect for a City Trip.
