"Mixed Experience Due to Front Desk Issue We stayed as a family and booked 3 rooms in total. Upon arrival, only 1 room was ready for check-in, which was understandable, so we left to go shopping while the other rooms were prepared. When we came back at around 8:30pm, we checked in to the remaining 2 rooms and were given only 1 access card for one room, and 2 access cards for the other room. When I asked the staff why there was only 1 card for the room, she pointed to my child, which confused me. I even reconfirmed: “Does the child not need an access card?” She told me yes, so we went ahead believing everything was in order. The next day during check-out, we were told by another staff member that we were missing an access card and that two were issued in the system. She insisted that we had lost the card. I explained the situation calmly, but it didn’t seem to matter. After almost 10-15 minutes of going back and forth, I told her to check the CCTV footage, since I clearly remembered questioning the number of cards given during check-in. Finally, she said “it’s okay,” but honestly — it wasn’t okay. We were essentially accused of losing something we never received. I couldn’t help but feel that if we hadn’t questioned it, we might have been charged for a missing card. It was unnecessary, stressful, and left a very bad impression despite the rest of our stay being good. Everything else about our stay was pleasant — but this incident made us feel uneasy. I hope the hotel reviews their procedures so other guests don’t go through the same experience. Double-check your key cards at check-in to avoid any misunderstandings."

"I had a remarkably generous experience with our room being upgraded to a suite. I appreciate the concept of an open wardrobe and the spacious room, which features comfortable bedding, pillows, and linens. The bathroom is equipped with different types of towels, as well as travel-sized body products including conditioner, body lotion, and a two-in-one shampoo, along with a shower cap. However, there was a lack of a razor. I prefer bath slippers that offer water absorption and cushioning, as they are more comfortable after long journeys than hard-edged slippers, which can cause blisters on my delicate skin. I spent my day swimming, although the gym is not yet ready for use, and there is no steam room available. There are many dining options, including a BBQ at the poolside, as well as a spa and salon in the Thamrin Batam area, making it very convenient for those who have a few days to experience everything in this young, lively, and vibrant atmosphere."

"We had an amazing stay at Oakwood Hotel Batam. The service and hospitality were excellent, especially from Salsa, who went above and beyond to make our stay truly pleasant. Her warmth and professionalism made all the difference. Thank you, Salsa. The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient as it is directly connected to Grand Batam Mall and surrounded by plenty of cafes and eateries. It is very easy to get around and enjoy the area. Highly recommend this hotel. 100% recommended!"

"We had a very pleasant stay at ARTOTEL Batam. Check-in and check-out were smooth and straightforward, making the whole experience comfortable from the start. The breakfast was good with a nice variety of options — definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The location is also excellent, making it easy to get around and access nearby malls and food places. We also enjoyed the live band in the evening, which added a nice touch to the overall ambiance. Overall, we had a great experience and would be happy to stay here again!"

"Hotel stay was good, booked a Family room. Services were excellent and the location was ideal, all within walking distance. We had a very good sleep. My 2nd time staying here and the breakfast buffet has since improved with a wider spread. Keep up the good work! Worth mentioning is that we requested 3 single beds, although 1st night it was a full house, 2nd day morning they really prepared it for us. But since we slept well, we declined the good offer. Thumbs up!"

"The breakfast spread was impressive and good in terms of taste, with a variety of options to choose from. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Free flow of small bottled waters. Tv is smart tv so can access youtube/netflix (have to sign in own account). Location was great with many food places and convenience stores around and a mall nearby. Staffs are helpful and approachable."

The food was delicious — especially the morning buffet, which had a great variety and excellent service from Adalina and the front desk team. We accidentally left some of our things in the fridge after checking out and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful in arranging for them to be returned to us. Truly outstanding service and hospitality! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a pleasant and worry-free stay."

"This hotel is incredibly convenient, clean, and pleasant. Its absolute biggest advantage is its location, right next to Nagoya Shopping Mall and 168 Food Court. Plus, there are numerous massage parlours nearby. The price is also very reasonable. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip. Excellent!"
