"The hotel location and room cleanliness were the best
There was an ice machine, washing machine, dryer, microwave on each floor, etc.
Various amenities were well-equipped, and the small bathhouse on the second floor
was the best for relieving travel fatigue
It was nice that there were restaurants and convenience stores nearby
The staff spoke English, so it was very comfortable
and they were kind
The room was quite spacious for a Japanese hotel. The bathroom was also a bit wider and more comfortable
It was nice that they gave me a quiet room as I requested, but on the last day, the fourth day
I had a hard time falling asleep because the next room and the room above were full and there was a lot of thumping all night
I don't think the soundproofing was good
Except for the noise on the last day, it was the best hotel to stay in

"this time, the purpose of the trip was to open the book of zenkoji.
I was able to enjoy the night light up near the temple, the morning event the next morning and Zenko Ji Temple.
I was five aunts, but I was allowed to spend time like a friend's house."

JJpg.vs.GifGreat location, just 5 minute walk from the JR Nagano station. It has a main entrance and a back door entry way. The amenities were fantastic, room is the average size in Japan, a little small for western standards but it was comfortable. We loved the onsen on the 11th floor and the free use of the massage chairs as well as complimentary Popsicles and Soba at night. The breakfast was also lovely, with a main focus on Japanese breakfast (there were a few western dishes available).

TtgtjoyceSuper convenient next to JR Nagano station. Hotel check in was fast and they managed to lend me a sewing kit and a small screw driver for me to open my toy to change batteries. Breakfast selection wasn’t that great with as it had few muslim friendly options. Room was big. Laundry service had to be booked in advance and we didn’t know so couldn’t do our laundry. The TV had a screen to show the amount of time remaining for the laundry machines. There was a free water dispenser but only at hotel lobby. For convenience to train station and easy access to snow monkey bus, it was still an awesome experience for us.

Location wise, it is centrally located within Nagano, however transportation wise would be more convenient to stay at Nagano station.
The hotel is quaint and quiet with decent restaurants available within the building. Appreciate the flexibility to extend my stay for one night at Hotel Kokusai 21.
Local drivers know the location of the building which is convenient for people who does not speak Japanese.
Booked a room for 3, appreciated that the sofa bed was set up prior to arrival (some hotels only does this after you have reached, which increases waiting time.) Working fridge.
Requested for a change in kettle and they provided one swiftly despite the language barrier.
The hotel lobby is also a joy to walk into daily as they provide an exhibition of a samurai celebrating boy's day in Japan (5th May) with koi flags hanging at the back.
A souvenir shop is also located within the lobby for last minute shoppers. Fun fact, this souvenir shop is not more expensive than at the train station.

Bbb travelsThe hotel feels new, and clean. We enjoyed the amenities of the place, and the convenience — all that one expects from a brand-name hotel. The only downside is that the room we were allocated faces the temple cemetery, which should’ve been told to us earlier upon check in. Other than that, it’s a pretty decent hotel for a quick short stay in Nagano.

KKLYSGSGSGHotel service is excellent, room is very clean and breakfast is delicious (Japanese cuisine) .
We enjoy staying there for 8 days, 15 minutes walk from Nagano JR line. If you have many luggages on your way back to Nagano JR station (too much shopping done after the trip 😅) suggest you let the hotel staff know they will book a taxi for you ( only cost JY 900). I had a pleasant stay and fully recharge after a short break. Definitely will be back again. ありがとございますた。

CcereresI booked hotel for short stay in Nagano. My main reason for travel was visiting Snow Monkey Park and exploring Nagano area, i used room only for sleeping and for this purpose it suited well. It located near station, just opposite side from bus stop to Snow Monkey Park, there is 7elevel just in the building next door. I was kinda sad that i couldn’t use hot bath, but i have tattoos and i expected that. Stuff was nice, i was allowed to leave my bags before check-in, room were pretty small, but this is what you expect from this type of accommodation. Overall can recommend

WWei LeThis place is ~5mins walk from Zenkoji temple. neighborhood is peaceful at night.
Shoes to be removed outside the accommodation. Rooms are on the 2nd floor so you'll have to carry your luggage up (there's no lift).
Room (with window) is huge. You'll have to head downstairs to use the shared toilet and shared onsen (no toilet inside the room).
We were only allowed 30mins of onsen time for 2 pax - couples weren't allowed to use the onsen concurrently so we had to go one after another (i'm not sure if the instructions got lost in translation..). Felt very rushed so i didnt really get to enjoy the onsen experience, but overall was nice and clean.
Interesting 6.30am tour around the area and within the temple itself, followed by a simple vegetarian breakfast (porridge with omakase-styled sides with miso soup) back at the accommodation. The morning tour lasted from 6.30am - 8.30am.
The accommodation provided a fleece blanket to each pax to bring to Zenkoji temple to keep us warm during the morning praying ceremony. We went on 30 Dec and it was SO COLD.
Overall interesting experience but accommodation price is pretty steep IMO.

AAnonymous UserThe room was very nice - sufficiently large and with all necessary amenities (even a small fridge). The room was clean and in good condition. The staff was very kind and stored my luggage for free, as I arrived early in the morning. The hotel is conveniently located, yet in a rather quiet place. It's a walking distance from both Nagano station and Zenkoji temple (approximately 20-25 minutes), however, do note that the nearest bus stop is about 900 meters away, so if you got a lot of luggage and do not intend to get a taxi, that may be a bit far. They also have coin operated washing machines and dryers, in case you need them. Overall, a great option for most travelers, especially in terms of value for money.
