Booked another stay the Marriott, my go-to when heading to Oahu. Location is fantastic for the beach, and I don’t mind the walk to the International Marketplace or Royal Hawaiian Center for shopping and dining because you really get to see so much going on.
Room was clean and surprisingly even though I booked a city view room, I still had a partial ocean view.

A must-stay hotel in Honolulu, with its own beach, a pool with a slide, and fireworks every Friday. The room is big, and the bed is big too. Breakfast is too expensive, but there is a supermarket and McDonald's nearby. There is a Starbucks downstairs.

Hotels in Hawaii are all old, but this one is relatively cost-effective. It is a small suite, and the sofa bed in the living room is also large and comfortable. You need to call to ask for dental supplies and slippers. The location is also good. What's frustrating is that the breakfast is the same as in a big cafeteria. No matter if you go early or late, you have to queue up to get your meal. The food is also very single...

The location is right at the beginning of Waikiki Beach, a three-minute walk from the beach. Free beach towels and beach chairs are available for swimmers. We booked a sea view room with a sofa bed, which the kids loved and everyone slept comfortably. The breakfast was not rich but sufficient, with everything you need!

The Doubletree hotel location is not too bad (10 min walk to Royal Hawaiian Center) but the hotel is quite dated. Expect dust on the ceiling, dirty vent, aged facility. Staff are friendly but limited services can be expected since usually there are only 2 FD staff to deal with all things. No hot water for last night I stayed but FD was able to give me a different room to b shower. Unfortunately the pool was under maintenance and they let us use the Hilton Hawaiian pool (See pic) and that was nice. Overall for the location wise and price wise, I think Doubletree has good value.

A very well located hotel. Adjoining the shopping center where you will find all the necessary amenities (huge shopping center).
The hotel is close to many bus lines and only 20 minutes from Waikiki Beach. A quieter and equally beautiful beach is 6 minutes away from the market.
The hotel has a laundry room, gym, swimming pool. The staff is very pleasant. There are a few shops and a Starbucks in the hotel on the ground floor.

Very nice hotel. The lobby is magnificent and the rooms are large and comfortable. There are shuttles to several places around. Although it is a bit far from Waikiki, it is quiet and has its own private beach. The hotel's restaurants are very romantic. A good hotel worth staying in.

Very pleased with our stay! Excellent location beachfront. Beautiful views of Diamond Head Crater. Super excellent location to be in the middle of all shops, beaches and restaurants . Short walks to explore & enjoy up and down the streets and beaches! All staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Clean and well maintained. Great assistance with booking activities. My daughter took a surf lesson. Beachside conveniently had plenty of water activities to enjoy with an area to rent paddle boards , surf boards, floats, chairs & umbrellas. The restaurants inside the resort were excellent and convenient with outdoor seating and ocean views! ABC general store on lower level to shop for anything needed from drinks, snacks, beach towels, souvenirs, sunscreen etc…The resort also offers free activities that are on a schedule week by week, such as yoga, hula lessons, Lei & bracelet making, vow renewals & ukulele lessons! My 15yo daughter took a ukulele lesson, then shopped around and bought one to bring home!!! We have absolutely no complaints about our stay! Will absolutely be coming back in the future. Our flight home was a late evening flight & our check out time was 11:00am, so the bell hop service held our luggage for us so we could enjoy the rest of our last day on the beach. Then we decided to top off our last day to pamper ourselves with a spa treat, which is located on the top floor of the resort. I got a massage. My daughter got a facial. Afterwards we got to go to the outside roof top and enjoy the awesome view feeling refreshed & relaxed. I can go on and on about the positives of this vacation stay. There were no negative issues!

This hotel I stayed in this time was newly built in 2024 and there would be no cockroaches, so I checked in. After staying there, I think it has both good and bad points.
Advantages: The service is very enthusiastic;
The swimming pool is on the 8th floor, a very clean place;
There is a large water dispenser on the next floor, you can pour water when you leave the room, you don’t have to buy water yourself, nor do you have to pour water in the lobby and carry it up, which is very convenient;
The hotel has a shuttle bus to Waikiki Beach every hour. The place where you get off is P2, which is a little distance from the beach. There is a return bus about every half hour, which is very convenient.
The hotel's elevator is very fast. First, press the floor you want to go to at the door, and then the elevator will automatically allocate it. Basically, one floor per second, there is no pain of high-rise elevators at all, which is very good;
Opposite is Ala Moana, Walmart, and buses.
Let's talk about the disadvantages: I don't know about other rooms. The window of the room we booked is a large movable window that can be moved to the top of the room. Once the door is opened, it is a half-person-high glass, and then there is no protection, and there is no balcony. See p1, that is to say, more than 20 floors... If you open the window directly, a strong wind will fly out of the window, which I think is quite dangerous. So later we didn't open the window, but opened a crack for ventilation;
Although the room was newly built in 24 years, the facilities in the room are already a bit broken. The bathtub drains slowly, the clothesline can't be retracted, and the remote control of the smart toilet is also broken...
In general, I think this hotel is not worth five stars, at most it is a four-star, which is ok to stay in.

Very Good
XXingzoudemiaoxingrenLiving here doesn't feel like a vacation. The room is not special, ordinary, and small. Bringing two suitcases to live here almost takes up the space. It is not recommended. The advantages are cleanliness and quiet environment, but the room is too small, and the small refrigerator is very noisy when it is running. The view of Waikiki is the view of the parking building opposite.
Self parking and valet parking have the same price, and the parking building is very large.
If you drive here, you have to go through a lot of traffic lights before getting on the highway.

AAndStrategically located with popular eateries down the corner, further up and you will hit hyatt and the beach. We had the tunnel view of the beach at the corridor too. The recept is polite and detailed, providing necessities such as toiletries upon request. There's complimentary breakfast too and the spread is decent and awesome - only shortcoming is the hard boiled eggs and strawberry tasting tad sour-ish. There's complimentary necessities to the beach too. The valet is great - polite and efficient. All good.

DdaisysethWe upgraded the room to 2 bunk beds and a large bed, which can accommodate 6 people, but there were only 4 of us. Parking fee is 20🔪 a day, breakfast is 15🔪 per person or a la carte, bagel is 5🔪 each, which is cheaper than the hotel in Waikiki. The hotel has welcome chocolate and facial mask, but you need to ask the front desk for toothbrush and toothpaste, and there are no slippers. You can borrow snorkeling tools in the swimming pool for 6🔪4 hours.
GGuest UserThe room is relatively clean and has all the basic amenities.
Because I was going to the volcano, I didn't pay to upgrade the sea view at the front desk. There was only air conditioning outside the window without any view.
The hotel front desk 🈶 unlimited coffee and the staff were very friendly.
Hilo town is a relatively good place to stay.

GGuest UserThis location is the best. 1 block from the beach, within walking distance to anything you want in Waikiki. The lobby is an open, grand lobby. Hotel employees are extremely friendly and helpful. I was very concerned about the hotel when I got off the elevator on the 14th floor. The hallways are dated and uninviting. However, upon entering the room I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, plenty spacious for a solo traveler (and would be acceptable for 2 travelers), and had a great view of the ocean. The continental breakfast offered fruit, pastries, boiled eggs, cereal, toast, and waffles. The best part of the stay was Leo at the bell desk. He was extremely friendly, and provided excellent service (he even noticed that I dropped my apple watch cover and held it for me until my return later that day). Be sure to get to know Leo, and don't forget to tip your service providers!

KKyokoSI stayed at Hilton a few months ago. I would definitely stay at Ilikai if I had to choose between the two. I could stay in an ocean view room with a kitchen for less though the room was a little outdated and less beautiful than the room at Hilton. The staff was all friendly. I got a free ice cream, two bottles of water, and a newspaper every day in addition to admissions to two museums.

MmrKarstenStaying at Manoa Inn feels like stepping into a living piece of Honolulu’s layered past. This plantation-style historical house is full of quiet character, from its timeworn woodwork to the gentle creak of its stairways. The inn is surrounded by gardens that seem to breathe—ferns unfolding, orchids slipping open, birds singing from hidden corners. One morning, I sipped coffee to the chatter of parrots and caught the city unfolding below through a frame of palms.
The location is as thoughtful as the house itself—steps away from the East-West Center, the serene carp garden, and the Manoa Japanese Tea House. Nearby cafés and small eateries feed both hunger and curiosity without fanfare. Nothing here feels manufactured. The inn doesn’t shout for attention—it invites you to listen, to linger, to notice. I left with a sense of having not just visited, but having been quietly welcomed.

SSatoApartments (condominiums) and hotels are integrated and not classified by floor or tower.
Residents and long-term residents are mixed.
There is a front desk, and spaces such as mailboxes are the same as in apartment complexes.
There is a swimming pool, gym, sauna, barbecue, convenience store, water server, and laundry on the 6th floor.
Gym costs $5 extra.
No housekeeping due to corona. Towels can be exchanged at the front desk.
Inadequate room cleaning.
Rather than calling it a hotel, it's better to think that some rooms in an apartment are treated as a hotel.
You can't enter the building without a card key, and the gatekeeper is stationed separately from the front desk, so security is normal.
Because it is an AQUA system, you can enter HoMA and Bishop for free with a card key.
