"Check-in took two minutes, the receptionist was very professional. We got the key and clear instructions to our room, and the wifi password. The room was functional, but good enough for the purposes. The bed was large enough and comfortable. The room's windows faced the water, and we enjoyed seeing the ferry from the balcony when we opened the window. The room also had a working desk which was good, as we needed space to do some computer work. The bathroom amenities were ample, and we had plenty of fresh linen. Breakfast the next morning was a HUGE spread. Among all the hotels we stayed in Sicily, this one had the most food on offer. The waiter at the coffee station was commendable - we ordered a hot chocolate and the effort he put into making the perfect cup just made our day. I want to make a special mention to the lady at reception. I left my passport in the room after we checked out, and didn't realise it until over an hour later. I rang in a state of panic and she calmly reassured me that they had found it and she was holding on to it for me. Despite the slight language barrier, she communicated compassion perfectly. When I reached the hotel, she handed it over with the kindest smile, and that immediately dialled down my stress levels. 5/5 is not high enough for the service rating of this place, I would give them 10/5 if I could. And the lady at the front desk needs a promotion. "

"Very good value. It is located in the center of messin, so is a 10m walk from the main station. Signing in was a bit confusing as there was no one at the door to let me in, but a number was provided so I called and I was let in. My room card was already premade in an envelope near the entrance, so I didn't need to do anything further. Only bad thing is the drinks in the fridge aren't free and you will be charged if you drink them."

"We were diverted to Falconieri hotel which had only been opened 2 months. A winner. Amazing staff and fantastic amenities. Location beautiful but an uphill walk from train station, however manageable and visually stunning through the Piazza."

"Unexpected surprise. The boutique hotel it’s located in the center of the city and the rooms are comfortable and extremely clean. The building is a classic Italian historical building with high ceilings and decorations. I must say was a nice experience. Breakfast it’s topical Italian with some intercontinental options."

"It's quite a enjoy journey to stay there. Howerver i didn't have the chance to meet the host because I arrived too late. Everything is ready and clean. "Very spacious room, huge bed and comfortable mattress. The air conditioning is controlled by the hotel management, it cannot be set up individually in each room. The shower was newly renovated and very comfortable and spacious. Location is great, just 7 minutes walk to main Piazza in Messina. Very close to the train station as well."

"The room is large, and the ventilation system is good. The host is very helpful and will tell you how to access to the building step by step by phone call. You can also contact her via WhatsApp. Overall it’s good with its location, as it’s located in the city center with a walkable distance to restaurants and train station. However, if you afraid of hot, the room isn’t suitable for you as they don’t have AC. But two fans are in the room which is also ok for us as it’s windy. It’s a shared bathroom apartment, but overall the bathroom is clean because two rooms share one bathroom which is also okay. They will clean the bathroom every morning so overall it’s not bad!"
