Due to the late arrival of Scoot flight TR611 from Suvarnabhumi past 11.30 pm, it costs me S$21.30 by Grab to arrive at Dorsett Changi City Hotel from Changi Airport. I stayed here one night for the convenience of boarding the free shuttle bus service at the neighbouring Expo Hall 5 for Singapore Airshow 2026 past 7 am on 8 February 2026. There is no need to pay the room deposit for one night stay at Dorsett Changi City Hotel. The room rate is overpriced as the room allocated to me is small. There is no pair of indoor slippers or sandals to wear and there is no room razor to use. Instead of four-class service, the hotel service should be classified as three-class instead. Top quality body lotion as well as body and hand wash are provided for room use. There is free filtered water to drink. Like Maya Hotel in Phuket, the toilet is separated from the shower room but Dorsett guests hang towels in the toilet and not the shower room! Flooding occurs after showering. Breakfast also starts at 6.30 am but it costs S$33.57 per guest. This is the breakfast rate payable to the reception by debit card, credit card or cash while it costs S$39 plus if the guest pays for breakfast at the hotel's Cosmo Restaurant. 6.30 am is the earliest breakfast outside homes in Changi as the nearest convenience store 7-11 is opened only at 7 am daily. The restaurant serves more varieties of fruits than other hotel restaurants as well as multi-grain bread. Cosmo Restaurant is also running ala carte buffet lunch promo rate at S$29.90 per person. Members of the public can also eat here. During winter months, planes can be seen flying past Standard Chartered Bank Building of Changi Business Park from the lift corridor. The reception says hotel guests on the hotel's swimming pool deck can also see planes flying. I recommend to stay at Dorsett Changi City Hotel for one night only if guests wanted to go to Expo to attend a MICE event on the next day, catch an early free shuttle bus to Singapore Airshow or stay at a cheaper rate than Yotelair Changi during transit. When we arrived we couldn’t find any spare seats, so the lady let us sit in the business lounge section of the lounge area. Lots of food and alcoholic drinks available. Seats are really comfortable. A little bit of language barrier at the drinks counter - be aware of liquor shots - they’re very very large :-) Definitely recommend T2 lounge over T3 - more space and not as noisy.

This was my second time staying at Dusit Thani Singapore. My first stay was for my sister’s bachelorette celebration, and this time it was for my boyfriend’s birthday. The hotel prepared a birthday cake for us, which was a very thoughtful and lovely gesture. Overall, everything inside the hotel was excellent and truly met five-star standards — service, comfort, and atmosphere were all very well done. That said, there are a few things worth noting. Our room did not have a bathtub, which might be a downside for guests who enjoy soaking. At night, taking Grab to and from the city can be quite expensive due to the hotel’s location. Additionally, there is a lot of construction going on around the hotel at the moment, which slightly affects the surrounding view and overall cityscape. Overall, it’s a high-quality hotel with warm service and attention to detail, perfect for special occasions, though the external environment and transportation costs are something to consider.

This hotel is incredibly convenient for an overnight layover, located right on the fourth floor of Jewel at T1. You do need to clear customs, but if your luggage is checked through, you only need to take your carry-on. The room itself is quite small, but generally, the hygiene is good. The common areas offer complimentary self-service coffee and tea, as well as temporary workspaces for guests. Service is minimal as it's mostly self-service. The biggest advantage is definitely the location. Even if you have an early flight, there's no need to rush, making it easy to get a good night's rest – far more comfortable than sleeping on the airport floor or in a lounge.

Changi Airport in Singapore is renowned for its size and facilities, so I booked my last night in Singapore at a hotel there. The Crowne Plaza is also quite well-known in my home country. The hotel is conveniently located right next to Terminal 3, making getting around incredibly easy. It's just a few minutes' walk to Jewel, or you can take the SkyTrain, which is also very convenient. The hotel's decor is impressive, and the room was spacious and very clean. The staff were all very welcoming, and many of them spoke Chinese, so there were no communication issues. I was extremely satisfied with my stay.

GGuest UserThe Shangri-La Singapore boasts an excellent location, offering a serene and elegant environment with beautiful garden views. The check-in experience is relaxing and comfortable. The rooms are spacious, and the bedding is soft and skin-friendly, with a full range of toiletries provided. The overall service is attentive and thoughtful, with warm and polite staff. The breakfast selection is extensive. The only minor drawback is that some facilities are slightly older, but they are well-maintained and clean, which doesn't affect the stay at all. Overall, it offers good value for money, making it a great choice for a trip.

GGuest UserI stayed at Lyf Funan Singapore for 2nights as a business traveller. The design is fun and colorful, not your typical hotel vibe. The room is compact but works fine, with a private bathroom, and the sink is outside the bathroom which is actually quite convenient. I stayed in a standard room—it’s okay for couples or friends. The hotel has more of a co-living feel. There’s a shared kitchen, dining area, and even a small workout corner, so it feels more social than a normal hotel. Breakfast was a bitsimple with limited options, just a few simple dishes and some bakery items. I’d recommend skipping it and eating outside instead. Location is definitely a big plus. It’s inside Funan Mall, super convenient for shopping and food. You can also easily walk to places like Fort Canning Park (right across the road), Clarke Quay, and Merlion Park. Overall, nice stay if you like modern design and a lively vibe—just don’t expect too much from the breakfast.

--chenchen-The hotel is quite new overall, and the location is super convenient. I only stayed one night for a city layover, so here are the pros and cons: **Pros:** 1. It's very easy to get to all the attractions, many are within walking distance. It's also close to the City Hall MRT station, and popular internet-famous restaurants and coconut milk tea shops are nearby. 2. We checked in with our child, and the staff immediately gave us a little snack bag for the kids. While it's not a family-themed hotel, it made a better impression than some dedicated family hotels. **Minor Cons (not dealbreakers):** 1. We were given an adjoining room, which made me feel quite insecure. I actually moved the coffee table to block the door before I could sleep. 2. The toilet paper in the bathroom was very sparse! And the toilet flush button was incredibly, incredibly hard to press – you needed a lot of force. We initially thought it was broken. 3. We'd just spent three nights in Sentosa where the minibar was fully stocked and complimentary every day. In contrast, this hotel, at a similar price point, had an empty fridge, which was a bit of a shock. It really hit home that 'it's hard to go from luxury to frugality.' 4. Perhaps it's because efficiency is so high back home, but checking into hotels in Singapore feels incredibly slow. My child kept asking when we would finally be done. **Overall:** I'd still recommend this hotel for business travelers and tourists.

SSheilaOSheilaRelaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. Really good rooms with luscious pillows. The tub was heavenly. The pool was packed with kids but enjoyed my time there to sleep, think and do almost nothing. 3 nights. My only 2 gripes : no smoking room that's enjoyable to be in, and that their coffee is average. I'll definitely give this a 5 star rating for peace, comfort and joy at a decent price.

GGuest UserOriginally booked this hotel for shits and giggles coz of Anthropic Claude. This place is obsessively clean. I’m talking about the kind of clean that makes you suspicious — like maybe they have a team that just polishes doorknobs all day. Everything is spotless. Even the complimentary laundry room (which, yes, is FREE with detergent pods included) looks surgical. Zero lint. No detergent residue. No mysterious washing machine funk. Just pure, sparkling cleanliness. For someone as particular as me about hygiene, this was an unexpected jackpot. If I could give it 6 stars I would. Location is solid: walking distance to Chinatown, Maxwell Hawker Centre, Keong Saik Road’s fancy food scene, and two MRT stations (Chinatown and Maxwell). The outdoor courtyard smells like fresh lemon balm disinfectant, which is oddly specific but very reassuring. There’s also a complimentary minibar, which feels generous for a compact room. The double bed room I booked was small but accurately described during booking, so no gotcha moments. If you’re short like me, the bed’s perfectly comfortable. They’ve maximized storage cleverly: luggage space, safety box, mini fridge under the bed. The courtyard becomes your unofficial living room since the actual room is just… bed. The Meh The rain shower is a mystery. I still don’t know how to use it without turning the bathroom into a wading pool. The handheld showerhead has weak water pressure, though the bathroom itself is otherwise excellent. So clean!!! You can feel the MRT rumbling underneath (acceptable noise level), but the real problem is Leila, the bar downstairs. If you’re into nightlife, great! If you’re trying to sleep on the second floor, less great. I could hear thumping bar music until late. Front desk was gracious and delivered earplugs promptly when I asked, so points for responsiveness. Walking around during rainy season would be a drag. The Verdict Would stay again for overnight layover purely for the cleanliness. Thanks for the random pick, Claude (both the AI and the hotel). 🧼✨🤖

AAnonymous UserUgh, I forgot to take photos, so I'll use some random ones instead. First off, I chose this place because it's super close to Universal Studios, and I figured a chain hotel wouldn't be too bad. But the price wasn't exactly cheap – I paid over 480 for a queen room. I know hotels in Singapore are pricey, so this was within my expected budget; I'd already come to terms with the cost. The front desk staff were all really nice. However, my heart sank when I opened the door. The room was tiny, and they don't provide slippers, toothbrushes, or cups, citing environmental reasons... though if you ask the front desk for a toothbrush, they'll give you one. For cleanliness, I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5 – not terrible, but not outstanding either. It's a small room but has all the essentials, though you definitely can't fit two suitcases in there; it felt really cramped. On the bright side, the soundproofing seemed pretty good. I'm not sure if there were no other guests or if everyone was just incredibly considerate, but I didn't hear any noise. Plus, I was so exhausted from sleeping at the airport the night before that I slept like a log. It was the best night's sleep of my entire trip, and I was genuinely shocked that I slept best in the smallest room... Oh, and the shower gel and shampoo are all-in-one, so if you're particular, you might want to bring your own.
