"An objective review. The facilities are good! However, the location is too remote. It seems to be in what used to be the logistics area of Kai Tak Airport, surrounded by renovated car repair shops. At night, there's no one around and no shops, so you have to order takeout. I stayed here for two days and walked until my legs were numb. The room was very damp because all the windows were internal and couldn't be opened. There were water droplets all over the outside of the window. The staff told me to set the temperature to 22 degrees, which made me so cold I couldn't take off my clothes!"

"The hotel room size is quite decent for Hong Kong standards, and both hygiene and facilities are excellent. The bed is a bit narrow. The hotel is right next to the Kai Tak Main Stadium, and it's a 5-minute walk using the designated通道 (exclusive passage). During events, they check hotel wristbands, making it very convenient to return to the hotel after leaving the venue."

"We chose this hotel for our family trip during the summer holidays. Overall, the hygiene was quite good, which you'd expect for a price of over 1000 per night. The hotel is located in a residential area with plenty of local restaurants to choose from. The nearest subway station is over 600 meters away, and there are many bus options, making transportation convenient. The service was excellent. We stayed for 3 nights, and the cleaning staff always asked specifically what needed to be tidied up, completely respecting our wishes. The facilities are a bit old, as it's an older hotel. We stayed in a triple room, and it included one foldable bed. Just for your reference, toiletries and mineral water are not provided."

"This hotel, with its 852 rooms, certainly doesn't lack individual travelers from Ctrip! Indeed, it hosts many tour groups! Over 8000 reviews attest to guests' fondness for this hotel! However, a look at the negative reviews is quite telling! A 4.1 rating is considered high for a hotel in Hong Kong... One particularly memorable 1.5-star review mentioned a smoke smell in the room! After seeing a fan meet-up, I temporarily chose this hotel (mentally prepared). Upon arrival, it was nearly midnight. The front desk staff immediately asked for 'ID' without any greeting or polite language. She was very terse with her words. I could tell she was tired and eager to finish her shift by midnight... We were also very tired! Sticking to the principle of avoiding trouble when possible, I *did not* file a complaint. After showering, I discovered black marks on the bedsheets... The hotel sent a housekeeper to check. At that moment, I asked to speak with the duty manager! During the conversation, the person surprisingly said, 'The manager won't come to the room, the manager is very busy, and requesting a room change (without asking for an upgrade) is impossible today because the hotel is full. We can only change the sheets and duvet covers. And even if the manager came, she would be the one changing the sheets!' She also confirmed that the person who called the room was just the front desk staff, not the manager! That feeling of being coerced was truly speechless! It felt like a common occurrence! You shouldn't put bedsheets with obvious black stains on the bed when making it up (she then said that when housekeeping is busy, they can't pay attention). She also claimed their laundry facility is a major one... A major facility produces these results?? Previous comments in the review section mentioned 'bedding looking unwashed...' It seems this isn't an isolated incident, and this issue is a recurring one! As everyone knows, after housekeeping completes their work, the housekeeping department has a review process and even spot checks! We guests understand and appreciate the busyness and hard work of your housekeeping staff! But have you ever considered how a guest feels when they pull back the bedding to reveal glaring black marks on pristine white sheets? 💢💢💢 You are also an excellent and experienced hotel professional (evident from your professional bed-making skills). At that moment, I truly wanted to contact Ctrip concierge to cancel and switch hotels... If it weren't for a certain other hotel being closed for renovation... I wouldn't have bothered coming all the way to this hotel at this late hour to endure such frustration! Just then, the night duty manager of the hotel arrived in the room... He said a room was already prepared (actually, we no longer wanted to move). He then insisted we go check out the room, and his attitude was incredibly sincere! What was completely unexpected was — the new room was a sea-view room! I never thought the duty manager's solution would be an upgrade (I wonder if he was the same thin, arrogant man in a suit uniform mentioned by the guest who complained about the smoke smell). I also informed the manager about the check-in situation (*without filing a formal complaint*). The manager didn't side with the hotel staff but also skillfully upheld the hotel's image, saying he would verify... Anyway, there are surveillance cameras. Guests have no need to flatter or disparage; we are all just passing through, minding our own business, and simply reporting the facts... I'm writing this honest review for everyone's reference. My experience during this stay showed that the night duty manager at this hotel is very professional in his work! His words were very appropriate! His attitude was very sincere! He effectively maintained the hotel's image and reputation! He was a young, slender man in a short-sleeved shirt uniform, wearing glasses! The hotel's sea view is indeed good... Different from the Peninsula's direct Victoria Harbour view... Changing positions to see Victoria Harbour also offers a unique scenic beauty! The room facilities are very new (the green plastic chairs are a bit crude, though) and there were no issues of outdated or aging facilities as rumored! The room decor is simple and stylish! The room size at 18 square meters is indeed much larger than comparable 4-star hotels in Yau Tsim Mong which are typically 13 square meters! If you're looking for an affordable stay near Kwun Tong, the value for money is quite good! Of course, on the day of my stay, I also saw prices like 1300 as mentioned in previous reviews! This hotel's sea view and hardware are both good! As for the service, that depends on who you encounter... Checking into a hotel is always like opening a blind box! The hotel's night duty manager perfectly resolved the issue! I also did not take the compensation offered by Ctrip! Ctrip has always been very useful! Ctrip concierge has also always provided excellent service! Thank you, Ctrip, for providing this platform for guests to honestly share their real experiences! 'There's no such thing as pure gold; no one is perfect.' A hotel that addresses problems without shirking responsibility is a good hotel in the eyes of guests. The hotel's night duty manager deserves a 5.0-star rating! Before I left the room that night, he repeatedly said to call him if I had any issues... I would like to express my gratitude to the night duty manager for his coordination that night! It was almost 1 AM, so I didn't get a chance to say 'Ng goi saai' (thank you very much) to him! He would be off work in the morning, and I would check out at noon, so I wouldn't see him again... I look forward to meeting him next time!!"

"I had to queue for a bit even though I arrived at the 2 PM check-in time. The elevators are a real pain; living on the 18th floor meant constant stops going up and down. The room was super small; with two single beds, there was hardly any space left. I needed a power converter. The hotel is very easy to find, just a quick left turn from Exit D of To Kwa Wan station. It's about a 30-minute walk to Kai Tak. The room was so dismal that I didn't even bother taking pictures. The nearby cha chaan teng and McDonald's are very convenient."

"The room was clean and tidy, with new facilities and plenty of hot water and air conditioning. It's located on an old airport runway, and you can see Victoria Harbour within a few minutes' walk. Although it's about a ten-minute drive from the city center (Kai Tak MTR Station), there's a free shuttle bus every half hour to and from the city center. If it's too early or too late, you can take a public bus. The room isn't huge, but it offers excellent value for money, probably one of the top three in Hong Kong."

"Booked this hotel last minute for a business trip to Hong Kong. At this price, I was expecting something more like a guesthouse, but it was surprisingly good! The room facilities were very complete, even a universal adapter was provided. There's also an independent washer-dryer, and you can get laundry pods from the front desk – so convenient for business travelers. The hotel is surrounded by the sea on all four sides. After finishing work in the evening, I took a walk by the sea and enjoyed the Hong Kong night view. That was definitely an unexpected bonus!"

"The hotel's location is very convenient, with clear signs from the Hung Hom MTR exit. It's near Hong Kong Polytechnic University, though the school itself isn't open for public visits. Dining and getting around are easy, and the hotel also offers a shuttle bus to Tsim Sha Tsui. The hotel facilities are comprehensive; the room is quite spacious for Hong Kong standards, featuring a bathtub and a refrigerator. I brought my own adapter, as the room doesn't provide toiletries or bottled water, but you can purchase them at the front desk if needed. There's an outdoor pool on the 9th floor, and some rooms offer sea views. The service was generally good, though a few individual staff members were slightly less impressive, which might be a personal quality issue. I stayed for 6 days in total, and on the last day when I extended my stay, the bathrobe was removed and not replaced, but overall, I was very satisfied. I would definitely prioritize staying here again on my next visit."

"Location: The hotel is located in a residential area, very close to Kowloon City Market and Kai Tak Sports Park, both within walking distance. Service: The front desk staff were very polite and handled check-in quickly and efficiently. Cleanliness: The room was clean. Facilities: I booked a king-size bed room, and to my surprise, it had facilities designed for the elderly or those with mobility issues, which was a thoughtful touch. The room size is quite good for Hong Kong, and the bathroom is spacious with excellent water pressure, making for a comfortable shower. The room description didn't mention a refrigerator when I booked, but there actually was one, which was great for cold drinks in the summer. The air conditioning was plenty cold and wasn't noisy as some reviews suggested; it was very quiet at night, allowing for a good night's sleep. There are many Thai restaurants nearby, as well as Thai BBQ places, supermarkets, and a market (with a cooked food center upstairs). There are plenty of dining options. This is the best choice for anyone attending a concert at Kai Tak."

"Free hotel shuttle bus service (to and from Kai Tak 1331 and Exit A of Kai Tak MTR Station on Muk On Street): From Exit A of Kai Tak MTR Station, head towards the bus stop and you'll spot the 1331 sign. If you miss a bus, you'll have to wait half an hour. The service stops quite early in the evening, so you might need to take a public bus to Shing King Street and walk back. Be sure to check the direction before boarding, or you might end up going in circles! The bus stop is a bit far from the accommodation, and the area is quite secluded and quiet at night, so it's best to go with company. It offers good value for money, so if you're price-conscious, it's worth considering."

AAnonymous UserThe location is excellent for travelers who prefer commuting by walking, bus or tram rather than relying on the MTR. Situated in Wan Chai, the hotel is surrounded by plenty of restaurants and cafés, and it offers convenient access to nearby areas such as Central, Causeway Bay, and other parts of Hong Kong. One of the biggest advantages is the easy access to the A11 airport bus, making travel to and from the airport simple without the need to take the Airport Express. The room is spacious, well-equipped with all the essential amenities, and features a comfortable bed and a practical work desk, making it suitable for both leisure and business travelers.

CChiputaoweidetuzi💡 **Unbeatable Location:** 📍 378 Nathan Road, Yau Ma Tei 🚇 4-6 min walk from Jordan Station Exit B1, 5 min walk to Yau Ma Tei Station. ✈️ A21 Airport Bus stops right outside, super convenient for airport transfers. Just one metro stop to Mong Kok! So much fun shopping at Sneaker Street!~ 🌃 **Food & Fun Nearby:** ▪️ Temple Street Night Market ➡️ 3-min walk ▪️ Tsim Sha Tsui / Avenue of Stars ➡️ 1 metro stop ▪️ 7-Eleven + Cha Chaan Teng + Starbucks right downstairs One-stop shop for late-night snacks and morning tea! A true paradise for night owls!✨ 🛏️ **Room Experience:** The two beds are spacious enough (which is impressive for Hong Kong! 😭) ✔️ Converter plug + toiletries provided ✔️ 90% cleanliness (small suggestion: dehumidification could be improved) ✔️ Front desk staff are super nice and luggage storage is free! ⚠️ **Heads-up Tips:** 1️⃣ Some room types have a musty smell, suggest choosing higher floors. 2️⃣ Room downgrades are common during peak season, confirm your room type in advance. 3️⃣ Soundproofing is average, light sleepers should bring earplugs. Overall, excellent value for money! Especially suitable for: 🔸 Explorers (all attractions within walking distance) 🔸 Foodies (tons of popular eateries downstairs) 🔸 Transit passengers (direct airport bus) Hong Kong hotels are generally expensive with small rooms, this one is truly a gem in the industry! 👏 The only minor flaw, which the hotel should address, is that the pillows are really uncomfortable.

GGuest UserMy stay at Two MacDonnell Road definitely lived up to its reputation. Located in Mid-Levels, it's an oasis of calm away from the hustle and bustle; it was incredibly quiet at night, with no city noise from Central at all, allowing for a very comfortable sleep. The room was much more spacious than most Hong Kong hotels, laid out like an apartment with a small living area and a basic kitchenette. There was plenty of space to spread out my luggage, making for a very relaxing stay. The view was a definite highlight. From a high floor, the expansive city and greenery views were stunning, both day and night. The staff were also polite. However, there were clear downsides: transportation isn't very convenient. It's a bit of a distance from the MTR station, so getting around mainly relied on taxis or the shuttle bus, which could be a bit troublesome when returning at night. The soundproofing was also quite poor. Overall, it's a great choice for those seeking peace and quiet, comfortable accommodation, and who aren't planning to rush through tourist sites every day. It's well-suited for business trips or short stays of a few days. If extreme convenience is your top priority, you might want to reconsider.

AamazingyenI had a wonderful stay at WAKE Concept Hotel during my recent trip to Hong Kong. The location is excellent, just a short walk from Yau Ma Tei MTR Station, making it very convenient to explore the city, visit attractions, and find local restaurants nearby. The hotel has a modern and stylish design, and the room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Although the room size is compact, which is common in Hong Kong, the layout is efficient and provides everything needed for a pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable, and the amenities were good. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the overall service exceeded my expectations. For travelers looking for a clean, convenient, and good-value hotel in a central location, WAKE Concept Hotel is an excellent choice. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Hong Kong.

BB未South Nest was surprisingly good. Tucked away in a neat little area at the backside of Hong Kong but easily accessible from downtown by public transportation. The area is nice and offers some good local food options and there are a few art galleries nearby. Staff are friendly and quick and the rooms are not big but are actually quite perfect if you don't need extra space. The large window and the view are also nice, and the common area is cozy and clean.

PpunchillPros: 1. It's very close to the tram station and bus stop, and there's a supermarket and department store just across the street. The street with the bus stop also has many restaurants. (The Wellcome supermarket has very cheap water). The hotel provided a kettle, but I didn't dare drink the water (even though they said it was filtered), so I had to buy my own. 2. It's quiet, meaning the street side is peaceful. The bed is soft and the pillows are comfortable. The bathroom is very large with separate wet and dry zones. 3. The air conditioning works well and is stable. The hot and cold water in the bathroom is incredibly stable; it gets hot very quickly and stays hot for a long time. Cons: 1. The hotel is undergoing renovation, which is expected to be completed by the end of August 2026. However, I didn't hear any noise during my stay. Perhaps the floor I was on wasn't being renovated. (The staff did show me a warning sign about this before check-in). 2. You need to prepare HKD 500 for the deposit (room guarantee), which is refunded at check-out (you need to present the receipt). It didn't take long to get it back. 3. I booked a non-smoking room, but it still smelled of smoke. Maybe the smell wasn't completely eliminated. 4. The soundproofing within the hotel rooms isn't great, but it's not terrible either. You might occasionally hear things clearly.

YYangguangbandewennuanWow, I was really impressed by the thoughtful touches the moment I walked in! For a central Hong Kong location, this hostel offers pretty good value for money. I did my homework before coming (once in Spain, I didn't plan ahead and almost got pickpocketed!). While Hong Kong's streets and alleys are narrow and prices are high, the experience here is much better than the guesthouses I stayed at in Korea and Japan. I can even say this in my (bad) Cantonese – I'm a huge TVB fan! The transportation is super convenient; just take the elevator from Tsim Sha Tsui Exit D1 directly to the 13th floor, and the front desk is right there (it's very noticeable, and the chubby guy at the front desk is quite cute). I carefully checked my booking details before arriving and contacted the hostel 48 hours in advance, so the self-check-in process was incredibly smooth and easy. The building itself is a very typical Hong Kong commercial-residential building, making you feel like you're on a TVB set – it has so much character! I'd definitely come back again if I have the chance! The only minor regret is that the Mixue Ice Cream & Tea (bubble tea shop) across the street closed down, and other bubble tea places are a bit pricey – Hong Kong is quite expensive, haha. Highly recommend!

SsarahtsangThe room was at the end of the hall and larger than I expected. The hotel is close to the sea with a private beach and a swimming pool. AAnonymous UserI really enjoyed my stay here! It was especially cool for me to stay in this particular building because it's where the famous movie 'Chungking Express' was filmed. That alone makes the place special and gives it a unique vibe. The room was clean, cozy, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The air conditioning worked perfectly and kept the room cool, which was especially important in the hot and humid weather. I also want to give a special shout-out to the host. He was very welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help. Check-in was quick, and I was even able to check in earlier than the set time.
