City Comfort Inn (Kunming Changshui International Airport Yunlifang Branch)

Stayed near the airport in our first day because we arrived at about 2am. Receptionist was nice and prompt to arrange our free airport pick up when we called. The rooms have abit of smoke smell although they are non-smoking rooms but it’s just 1 night so we still slept well. Thank you.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. Although the advertisement says 22sqm, it looks bigger than a 30sqm room. Everything is clean and functional. The service was also excellent. But please be aware airport drop off is NOT 24hour, as what trip.com had advertised. The airport drop off service is only up to 2pm in the afternoon. If your flight is any later, it depends entirely on whether they are going to the airport to pick up arriving passengers. If there are no arriving passengers after 2pm, they will NOT drop you off at the airport. We had originally booked the hotel hoping to check out at 1am to catch a 3am flight. The hotel said they don’t do drop off after 2pm (we checked in before 530pm, giving them more than 6hrs notice to send us to the airport at 1am). In the end we had to make do when they informed us they were going to pick up passengers at 12am and could send us to the airport at that time (by chance only, not guaranteed!!). We still want to commend their excellent service but must warn trip.com not to put up false advertisement to mislead customers. The hotel is very far from the airport, calling a cab at night may be inconvenient and expensive.

Only about 10mins drive to the airport. The hotel provides free shuttle bus service to the airport. Many eateries outside the hotel. There is even a wakeup call for my 4am shuttle bus even though I did not ask for it. Great service!
