Hotels with Rooftop Pools in Kunming

"+ great location, big, spacious rooms, very clean (with exception of horibly dirty carpets in the room). Older furniture didn't bother us at all. Lovely cleaning ladies and amazing restaurant staff and good variety and great overal breakfast. - carptets as mentioned before, in the corridor, these are fine, in both our rooms not really. My main issue was staff at he reception and room service. now, I have hight expectations, because this should be a 5* service and I felt like it wasn't at all. At our arrival, the receptionist spoke really good english and was very nice. I asked for help with a very valuable little item I forgot in my previous Hotel in Dali. the receptionist called the hotel in Dali, but informed me that there Is not enough time to send it to Kunming (we were staying there for 2 nights). Now, I know this is my problem but I would expect 5 star hotel to be able to deliver a smal package, which is 2 hours away by train. Finally, I had it delivered to Yangshuo, much further away.... Other 2 receptionists I was in contact with spoke very little English, which is fine, but I would expect them to be a bit more proactive in using some translator app, which was no issue in other cheaper places. My question: which metro stop is the closest to the ancient city? answer: Nanping street is shopping center. question:Is there a bar in the hotel, where we could have a beer or some drinks? answer after some long explaining: in 4th floor, but it is very expensive (Pretty woman comes to my mind....) Not very helpful. now, when I got really angry was when I called room service, officialy available 10-23:00. 22:48 I tried numerous time through their app, which gave me error while trying to pay. 22:52, I called by phone, to find a very well English speaking person, who told me without appology of any kind ”it is too late” I was confused, so I ended the call, I looked at the room service menu to check time and of course, I was right. So I immediately called back, it was maybe 15 second later and guess what? nobody answered the phone anymore. How rude was this!!! Fun fact, I didn't want to order any food or even hot drinks, all I needed was one bottle of water And one bottle of tea. So I had to dress up again And go to buy it myself. I was back to the room before 23:00. Horrible customer service, certainly not 5 star And very disappointing experience."

"One of the best services I've experienced in any hotel globally. And this is coming from someone who travels constantly and has lived in hotels for the last 2+ years. The team were always smiling, so friendly and approachable. I spoke to Miss Zhong Zhong often who was delightful, helping with anything and everything. The rooms are very clean, laundry room is very convenient and the garden restaurant was delightful. Delicious fresh food, and lots of vegetables that they grow themselves. It would be a pleasure to come back to this hotel."

"We had booked a family room, but the front desk was very kind to upgrade us to a suite. The hotel environment was excellent, and there's convenient parking right at the entrance. On the downside, there's no elevator access to the guest rooms, and the shower had weak water pressure. They only have one washing machine and one dryer, and both are quite old. Despite these points, the front desk staff provided great service."

"We stayed here for our last two nights in Yunnan with the kids. The hotel is located in a mixed-use building shared with residential apartments and a shopping mall, but it has its own dedicated elevators. Parking is convenient and complimentary for guests. It's a relatively new hotel with excellent facilities, including smart toilets, TV screen casting, and a disinfection cabinet. The soundproofing is also very good, ensuring a quiet stay. Rooms feature large floor-to-ceiling windows, although the view isn't particularly scenic, as it faces an office building. Service was outstanding – the staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly helpful, always going the extra mile. The location is fantastic: a subway station is right downstairs, and Nanya First City, with its array of dining, entertainment, and shopping options, is just a few minutes' walk away. The hotel lobby's cafe is also a highlight; guests receive a complimentary voucher for a specialty coffee. Highly recommended!"

"Fantastic Hotel in every way couldn’t fault it accept for none of my iPhones could use their WiFi system this is down to China and not the hotel. Taxi were cheap and efficient location couldn’t be better helpful staff. Will definitely go back next year."

"The room is not big but the layout is reasonable. As soon as I stepped into the hotel, I was attracted by its exquisite lobby and its elegant decoration. Xiao Mo, the front desk staff, greeted me warmly, checked me in efficiently and considerately, and gave me welcome fruit. The room is even more satisfactory, the bed is soft and comfortable, the bathroom is clean and odorless, the toiletries are of high quality, and the hotel's catering is also commendable, with a rich variety of breakfasts and delicious taste. It feels as comfortable as at home. It is also very convenient to eat Yunnan specialties around. It is also very close to the Provincial Museum. It’s a pity that I didn’t know at the beginning that I needed to make an appointment one day in advance. Overall, this is a very satisfactory stay experience, all five-star praise."

"When I stepped into this hotel, I never imagined a stay would become a dual experience of cultural and spiritual healing. The moment I opened the door, the oversized floor-to-ceiling windows, like a magical frame, immersing the Grand View Tower's ”A Tower of Water, Amidst Clouds and Mountains” into the room. During the day, clouds drifted carelessly over the distant mountains, and the mist from Dianchi Lake, mixed with the fragrance of plants, seeped in through the window slits. At dusk, the building's shadow was bathed in the hazy moonlight, and even the air was imbued with a poetic, distant quality. The most surprising thing was the hour before bed. The hotel's unique healing session from 9:00 to 10:00 PM was like a gentle invitation. The instructor's fingertips, scented with the refreshing fragrance of natural essential oils, gently traced the meridians, gradually loosening tense nerves. Thoughts, tangled by daily trivialities, seemed to slowly unwind along the unblocked veins. By the end of my stay, I felt only a light tingling sensation on my scalp. I fell into a dreamless sleep as soon as I hit the bed, awakening naturally only as the morning light filtered through the window lattice. It turns out that in Yunnan, a vacation can be more than just a quickie. When the scenery becomes part of your room, when healing blends into time, the hotel becomes a gateway connecting body, mind, and nature. This is perhaps the most captivating way to experience Yunnan: there's no need to chase the scenery, for you're already immersed in it; there's no need to deliberately relax, for peace will find you naturally."
