Kunming Qingcheng Homestay (Xishan Wanda Branch)

The location is fantastic, and parking was a breeze to find. Right off the elevator, there's a delicious claypot rice restaurant with excellent food. Once you've parked, you can go straight up, and the host will send you the access code and all necessary instructions. The room was also very cozy, equipped with two large beds. Plus, there are plenty of dining options downstairs, which is super convenient.

Extremely underwhelming, to be honest, and quite disappointing. The actual experience was a far cry from what the promotional photos suggested. While the pictures showed a clean and aesthetically pleasing space, upon entering, I was immediately hit with a pungent, unpleasant odor. The facilities were all present, but not a single one was satisfactory. The washing machine sounded like it was about to fall apart when in use. The table looked like it was picked up from a flea market, and the sofa was quite dirty. The projector was utterly useless; you couldn't see anything clearly. The stainless steel handrail on the stairs was cracked, and I almost cut my hand on it. The duvet was excessively thick, making it impossible to sleep comfortably either with or without it. All in all, it was a huge disappointment. I strongly suspect the high ratings are fake; this place definitely doesn't live up to its price. I wouldn't return even if it cost just 100 RMB. It really makes you rethink staying at homestays/B&Bs; their hygiene, management, and safety simply can't compare to proper chain hotels.

Excellent! The facilities were well-appointed. It was spotlessly clean, with no insects or any unwanted debris. The environment was clean, tidy, and very peaceful. The host was very responsible and responsive; they also offered luggage storage, and any issues we communicated were promptly resolved. Highly recommended!

I found this to be a major plus, as it completely eliminates any worries about hygiene or whether items were thoroughly cleaned after previous guests. Environment: The location is excellent. Kunming Twin Towers are just a 7-8 minute walk to the right from the exit. The surrounding area is incredibly convenient, with an abundance of dining and entertainment options, and it's also very close to shopping centers. Service: When I first arrived, I had a little trouble finding the exact spot. However, I messaged the host, and they responded immediately. Despite the initial confusion, the location itself is actually very easy to navigate to.
