"Location= Wonderful. At the heart of ancient town with accessible halal food nearby. No need to worry about carrying heavy luggage across cobblestone pavement since owner fetch you from train station free of charge Room= Wonderful. I have to say the most feature packed room I have ever been with little money. Expensive looking bathtub overlooking the mountain, effective heater and heated floor, bedside oxygen, Dyson like blower even a room projector. Staff = Wonderful. Going out of the way to make you feel welcome. Fetch you from train station at night, helping with the tour, settling your luggage etc etc. Tried their hardest to please you although with language barrier."

"Out of all the hotels I stay in Yunnan this is the best by far. This is why I think the stay is great : - the owners are very friendly and helpful, he helped me to book ebike, gave us the locations that we can go for ebike, we explore the Napa Lake via ebike and it was mesmerizing - he picked us up and send to railway station for free - the location is superb, around 15-20 min drive to railway station, walking distance to guishan park, and also in the ancient Dukezong city where we can stroll around at night - a lot of halal food nearby - the room is so nice, they have smart toilet with bidet. The shower is heavenly, the shower pressure is perfect. They also have portable O2 if you need it - a lot of malaysians stays here and the owner was very patient talking to us with a translator - During our stay, all of his guests were malaysian. Thank you so much to the owners for such a pleasant stay."

"The owner of this inn is a very classy person. He picked us up on our first day. The front desk lady was very welcoming and easy to chat with. The rice noodle auntie also made delicious breakfast and was incredibly welcoming. The owner's cocktails were also delicious. The atmosphere was wonderful, especially the music. The room was the best we've ever stayed in Yunnan. It was very clean and had a heater, a humidifier, a small refrigerator, and a separate wet and dry bathroom. It's also very close to the ancient city and conveniently located. We're so glad we chose this inn and will definitely return next time we have the chance. And there are some adorable kittens."

"I was impressed with that ornate set-up of the room and yet equipped with modern technology. It has a modern bidet!!! Another new experience is to sit on a motorized trishaw. The owner drove his red little modernized trishaw to pick us up on the nearby public bus stop. It saved us a ton !! Otherwise, we have to drag the luggage on that cobblestone path in a rainy night. Thanks🙏🏻"

"The owner, a local *******, was incredibly warm and hospitable, and their service was exceptionally thoughtful. The homemade meals were incredibly hearty and served in generous portions, guaranteed to satisfy. The views from the room are absolutely stunning. It’s such a comfortable and relaxing stay; a few days here is truly rejuvenating and feels like it can cure all your worries. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Shangri-La!"

"Great location—very close to the Ancient Town, yet in a peaceful, quiet area. It’s 50 meters from the taxi drop-off point and the road to the homestay little bit uphill so be prepared for a short walk with luggage. The owner was very helpful and kindly assisted us with our luggage. There was a electric heated mattress, which kept us warm while sleeping, and 1 room heater provided. However, the heater wasn’t quite enough to warm the entire room, and unfortunately there’s a gap in the door (couldn’t close tightly), which allowed cold air to enter and made the room even colder."

"The best choice! The best hotel ever! The hospitality and amazing staff! They pick and fetch us from railway station, both way for complimentary. The staff is very helpful, easy to communicate, very attentive and helpful, they help in given direction and also to suggest itinerary program. We come with group of 6 women, they help to upgrade us to the family room, which is the best and comfortable room. after arrived, we were served for mini hi tea in the garden, although it stated 2 pax, but we were given 6 cup of each of us, I definitely will visit and stay here again, the oxygen also helps a lot. Even they breakfast is lovely although simple, which is sufficient and halal friendly for us. Tq again and totally will recommended to everyone."

"I had an excellent stay here! The property is peaceful and beautifully maintained, with a surreal environment and animals roaming around, which added to the charm. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept. A special mention goes to 小八. He assisted with our luggage upon arrival (very helpful as the property does not have lifts), and personally ferried us on both check-in and check-out days. Their thoughtful service made the entire experience seamless. Another highlight was the nightly desserts, which were both delicious and a wonderful surprise. Overall, the service was top-notch, the environment tranquil, and the hospitality outstanding. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay."

"Spectacular! Design hotel, confy and great to come back after all day walking arround. Great position. The staff is super nice, helpfull and very friendly. Great english too, that helps a lot. Rooms are clean, confy and with the best view! A must in Shangri-La"

"We had a short stay. Located ＜100m from the North gate. Room was spacious for the 3 of us. They have heated mattress which is really helpful as it gets very cold in Shangri-la. You’ll have to wait quite some time before you can use the hot water/ shower. Halal restaurants just outside the gate. Easy to get Didi. You don’t have to drag your bag for too long on the cobblestone. Owner is helpful. Nearby the prayer wheel. Overall, it was a good stay."
