The hotel has charging piles, a large parking lot, very close to the Songzanlin Temple scenic spot, excellent location, warm customer service contact, and great new opening. There is oxygen service and sleeps super well. The lobby is very artistic, the room is super large, much better than the homestay, and the artistic atmosphere is strong. .

😀 Location: Right next to Guishan Park, a two-minute walk to where you can easily hail a taxi. It's also located within the ancient city, making dining and shopping very convenient. 👾 Facilities: Excellent! The room environment largely matched the pictures. It came equipped with an oxygen concentrator, a humidifier, a fan, and a mini-fridge! The shower room also had facilities for hanging clothes and towels, which was a great touch. Among all the guesthouses I stayed at during my trip to Yunnan, this one had the most comprehensive facilities. 🤖 Hygiene: Very good. I didn't find any hygiene issues upon check-in. All towels were disposable, and the toilet had a self-sanitizing function. 😼 Service: Both the staff and the owner were incredibly friendly and enthusiastic! Before checking in, we couldn't find a taxi near Napa Lake, so the owner came to pick us up – super nice! Every day, they also provided complimentary fruit, snacks, and yogurt. When we checked out, they arranged a shuttle to take us to the underground parking lot and even gave us a farewell gift. You can truly feel that the owner puts a lot of effort into running this place! Highly recommend!

enjoyed this stay a lot, it was right at the grasslands where you can see the beautiful green grass against the striking blue sky. our stay was very comfortable, the host would pick us up at the train station and send us off. loved seeing their pet dog and cat everyday, they are very cute. however because this is at least 35mins away from the city, wai mai has very limited choices and will take ＞1hr to reach you just FYI.

An unforgettable stay ! From the moment I arrived, I felt completely immersed in the wild beauty of Shangri-La. The location is breathtaking wide open landscapes, mountains that seem to stretch forever, and a calm that's hard to find anywhere else. The rooms were impeccably clean, beautifully designed, with an amazing view, every detail felt intentional. But what truly made this stay special was Suki and little fish (荔枝). They are patient, attentive, and genuinely caring the kind of hosts who make you feel completely at ease from the very first moment. Beyond being incredibly warm and welcoming, they helped me experience the region in a way I never could have on my own. I went horse riding in the mountains with them, discovered the local culture through their eyes, and had some of the most meaningful conversations of my trip sitting with them. Their advice was precious, and their kindness turned a beautiful place into a memorable one. The amenities were excellent, the service flawless, and the whole place has a soul that's rare to find. If you're traveling and looking for somewhere that feels like an adventure and a home at the same time, this is it. Thank you Suki and little fish for the rides, the laughs, the conversations, and for showing me a side of Yunnan I'll never forget.

This guesthouse really exceeded my expectations. It was easy to find and the surrounding area was very convenient. The room was spotlessly clean, no strange smells, and the bedding was comfortable, so I got a great night's sleep. The host was incredibly genuine and patiently answered all my questions, unlike some places where they're unresponsive. Overall, it felt very cozy, just like staying at a relative's house – none of that stiff hotel feeling. The price was also reasonable, offering great value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in the area, genuinely recommend it to everyone.

Choosing this hotel for my trip to Shangri-La was absolutely the right decision! It's super convenient, just about a ten-minute walk to the old town. Plus, they provide an oxygen concentrator, which was a lifesaver on my first day when I was suffering from altitude sickness. They also have an oximeter and a thermometer, showing how much they care about their guests. The chicken and rice noodle soup for breakfast here is incredibly delicious – I had it for days! Every evening, they bring complimentary bedtime milk, which my family found to be a really thoughtful touch. The bedding is great too; I slept very comfortably, and the toiletries are all well-stocked. If I get the chance to come back, I would definitely consider staying here again.

This magnificent hotel is located in the heart of Shangri-La, a place where the journey itself is part of the magic. As we traveled along the village paths and across the vast plains filled with yaks and horses roaming freely, the landscape was so beautiful and peaceful that we felt as if we were entering another world. From the moment we arrived, silence, serenity, and the pure energy of nature surrounded us. The hotel manager greeted us with a warm smile, checked us in, and offered us hot local tea and a ******* cake. He then led us to the warm and beautiful room we had reserved. Everything was truly perfect: the hotel's atmosphere, the beauty of the location, and the kindness and sincerity of the entire team. When it was time to leave, we truly felt as if we were leaving a piece of our hearts there. Without a doubt, we will return to this place, and this time we will stay longer. A huge thank you to Mr. Wang, their adorable dogs, and their amazing team for this unforgettable experience.

Overall, this guesthouse exceeded my expectations. Its location is absolutely superb – directly opposite the back gate of Songzanlin Monastery. You can simply cross the road to enter the temple. Thanks to this prime location, we were able to enter the monastery early in the morning before it officially opened, enjoying a truly peaceful experience. The room's decor and design are very unique, and it's quite spacious. All facilities are well-equipped, and there are even many books on ******* Buddhism in the room. The on-site restaurant is good; the small portion of matsutake hotpot was more than enough for two, with plenty of fresh matsutake mushrooms. The rooftop terrace offers great views for photographing Songzanlin Monastery. The housekeeper and staff were all incredibly warm and friendly, and the welcome snacks were delicious. They also have a large parking lot, which is very convenient for guests.

Worth experiencing. The hotel environment is elegant, and enjoying breakfast while admiring Songzanlin Monastery in the morning light is a great feeling. The hotel is halfway up the mountain, far from the hustle and bustle. Coming here from the ancient city feels like entering a secret realm, a hidden paradise. The hotel breakfast is quite rich, with ******* pastries and butter tea, which might not suit everyone's taste, but there are also Chinese and Western options, so there's plenty of choice. The rooms are available in traditional ******* and modern ******* styles; personally, I prefer the modern ******* for its brighter feel. The hotel service is good; they upgraded my room and there's a shuttle bus to the room, which is very convenient. The only complaint is that the hotel is a bit old, so the hardware, like the underfloor heating circulation, isn't very good, and the room temperature couldn't get warm enough. After feedback, they provided an electric heater to solve the issue. Also, the auxiliary oxygen equipment wasn't working well, and after feedback, they provided an oxygen concentrator. Overall, the stay was quite good!

It was really good in terms of cost-effectiveness. I had almost zero experience or knowledge about hiking, but the hostel helped me SO much throughout the whole trip. First, after booking a bus to Tiger Leaping Gorge, I highly recommend asking the hostel to arrange another transfer for you from the Hutiaoxia Scenic Area up to the hostel. The road is really difficult, and an average DiDi driver probably won’t be able to make it. Second, I recommend staying at the hostel for one afternoon and starting your hike the following morning. On the morning you start hiking, ask the staff to book you a bus ticket to either Shangri-La or Lijiang, depending on where you’re going next. The ticket is 50 RMB per person, and the pickup point is at Tina’s Guest House. Also, ask the staff to transfer your luggage to Tina’s Guest House for you, because that will be the endpoint of your hike. The luggage transfer costs 20 RMB per person. This was honestly SO convenient. Third, the hostel has its own restaurant with a pretty wide variety of food. A meal costs around 40 RMB on average, and the food is honestly not bad at all. But the best part is the restaurant view — absolutely top-notch. It’s totally worth staying at the hostel for an afternoon just to relax, eat, and enjoy the scenery. Fourth, if you’re mainly hiking for the scenery and a great experience rather than for the challenge, I strongly recommend turning back after Longdong Waterfall and taking a taxi from Halfway Guest House to Tina’s Guest House. After the waterfall, there’s honestly not much impressive scenery, while the trail gets significantly harder. My knees were absolutely DESTROYED after that long downhill section, and personally, I don’t think it was worth continuing if your main goal is simply to enjoy the views and have a good hiking experience. If you follow my advice, the hike will feel more like a relaxed scenic walk that almost anyone can handle.If you don’t, though… it can feel pretty close to hell, especially if you’re a complete beginner like me.
