Shangri-La Hotels with Balcony

Everything from my arrival to Shangri-la, to the point of checking in, arranging transport for my itinerary, checking out, ferrying me to the train station, just one word - Impeccable. Customer service is outstanding, their interiors are beautifully designed, and complements well with the architecture of the building as well as the greater plains of Napa sea. They have a myriad of farm and domesticated animals which are incredibly docile, well tempered, and playful so you can tell they are well treated in here. I was at first skeptical of booking this as it's a little expensive and as a solo traveler, i'm incredibly easygoing. However, the standard of service, the majestic morning scenery, cute companions, complimentary evening desserts and hot milk, made everything worth the penny. I even got a free upgrade of my room because they said my original booking had no views 😂, and I was incredibly grateful for the complimentary upgrade. I'm a heavy eater so the light hearty breakfast wasn't exactly to my liking (but I could use some healthy balance once in a while 🤣) To each of their own. The staffs went out of their way to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible, in which I commend them for it. I will definitely be coming back to Shangri-la in the near future and will not be considering any other accommodation except for theirs! 多谢你们的慷慨之心，里思漫的员工们！

If you love a big and clean space, this is THE inn for you! Spacious, modern, friendly staff, minimalist and in a quiet spot :) They will help to arrange a trishaw to pick up your luggage so you don’t have to worry even if you’re carrying a lot. The old town centre is also quiet and pleasant, with lots of options for food :)

I had the most incredible stay at Shangri-la Runjing Muqi B&B. The moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a serene atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. The property is beautifully designed, blending traditional aesthetics with modern comforts, offering a perfect retreat from the hustle of daily life. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully decorated, reflecting the local charm of Shangri-la. The attention to detail was remarkable—from the soft linens to the carefully curated amenities that added a touch of luxury to my stay. What truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by the owner of the inn. She was incredibly kind and accommodating, even offering to pick me up from the train station and drop me off when I left, which was a huge help as the B&B is located about 25 minutes from the town and getting a Didi can be a bit challenging in the area. The inn doesn’t have elevators, only a staircase, but the staff were so attentive—they carried my luggage up and down for me, ensuring I didn’t have to worry about a thing. The location is perfect for exploring the serene beauty of Shangri-la. Nearby attractions include Potatso National Park, Songzanlin Monastery, and Dukezong Ancient Town, as well as a nearby horse ranch, where you can dress in traditional ******* costumes and ride across the scenic grasslands. The on-site breakfast was delicious, with fresh, locally sourced options that made each morning a delight. Overall, Shangri-la Runjing Muqi B&B offers an unforgettable experience. It’s a peaceful retreat with exceptional service, making it an ideal choice for anyone looking to explore the wonders of Shangri-la. I can’t wait to return!

We are really satisfied with our stay here as they have provided everything we need including free transport services from/to the train station as we check-in and check-out. Staff were friendly and cooperative with what we ask for. Location was great. Definitely recommended if you're heading to Shangri-la!

had a wonderful stay here. The room was spotless and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay with 3 days and 2 nights here. The environment was peaceful, making it easy to unwind. I was particularly impressed by the hotel staff, who were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything I needed. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is welcoming and warm, and I felt right at home from the moment I arrived. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quality stay with great service!

Amazing hospitality by the staff at the hotel. Prior to arrival and throughout the stay, we are in contact with the staff via WeChat who provided helpful contacts, information and support. As we had to leave the hotel early after our first night for the Abujicuo hike, the hotel had kindly prepared early breakfast (before 7.30am) for us to takeaway. This includes fruits, milk and bread. Otherwise, the breakfast option (Chinese, continental etc.) will be decided the night before to consume at the breakfast area. As for the room, it has a very modern and luxurious concept to it as seen in photos. The hotel also provides a variety of shower shampoo, body soap and body lotion to choose from (Balmain & others) during check-in. Lastly, we appreciate that the hotel has self-service washing machine/dryer on the rooftop for us to wash clothes after our hikes.

We were picked up by a small cart to the accommodation and welcomed to a very clean and modern designed room. Upon entering the lobby we were offered tea which was very nice. Also the room is well equiped with a humidifier and oxygen machine. Furthermore, the owners were very kind, gave us information about where to dress up (hanfu clothing) and packed our breakfast for to go as we had to head to the station early. We received many snacks to try, overall would definitely recommend! Beyond european standards when it comes to hospitality

Amazing front desk service, and I loved that the rooms had oxygen supply for the high altitude. Plus, it’s just a short walk from the famous ancient street of Shangri-La. Highly recommend!

There are little cuties in the yard, Yangjin, Qianjin, the first, fifteenth and sixth graders. We will miss you... The process of feeding and close contact with the animals is particularly healing. You can sit on the terrace to bask in the sun and watch them play all afternoon. The experience of making tsampa is also very interesting. After tasting the tsampa made by yourself, you can also share it and feed it to the animals. It is so happy. There is a billiards room in the leisure area on the second floor, and there are also some ******* clothes for you to try on. Lying in bed and watching the sun shine on the golden mountains when you wake up, this world is worth it!

The moment I stepped into my host family, I was greeted by a warm atmosphere. The decor perfectly blends local ethnic elements with modern comfort to create a unique and engaging space. This room is a haven of tranquility. The bed is very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a day of exploration. Soft, clean bedding adds a comfortable feel. Every corner of the room was meticulously cleaned and the thoughtful facilities provided made me feel right at home. The homestay staff was amazing. They were always friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make sure my stay was perfect. The common areas of the host family are well designed and attractive. Whether it's a cosy lounge or a peaceful garden, there's always a place to relax. Living in Guizhen is a wonderful experience. The attention to detail, the warm reception, and the beautiful setting make it one I highly recommend to anyone visiting this magical part of Yunnan Province.
