"We stayed at Zan Lodge for 2 nights.The hotel is conveniently located, only about 15 minutes drive from the Velana International Airport. Airport pick-up and drop off smoothly organised by the hotel. Hotel staff were very helpful. They went out of their way to help when my wife was sick. Thanks to the receptionist for trying multiple hospitals/clinics to get help and other staff for taking good care including making special food. Special thanks go to Mr Nawaz who used his personal links to finally find a doctor whose service and care are much appreciated."

There are domestic flights for 150 USD/30 minutes and seaplanes for 250 USD/30 minutes, but they all seem to take off from Male in the afternoon. I participated in an activity to watch manta rays on the island. I set off in the morning and the speedboat drove for more than ten minutes to reach the designated sea area. I saw them immediately. They are very cute and friendly to humans. They are like children. They will circle around humans and swim to you head-on. It is strictly forbidden to touch them. They will never come here again if they are frightened. You can watch them on the boat or snorkel and play with them. It costs 70 USD per person and there are at least 2 people in a group.
