Guest UserThe staff were incredibly welcoming. As soon as I entered the room, I could feel the hotel's thoughtful and cozy decor. The private hot spring bath was huge and even had a cold spring water pool, which was perfect for a refreshing rinse after a soak. The mini-bar in the room had a great variety of drinks. In the afternoon, they delivered complimentary fruit and snacks, and in the evening, there was even plum wine for a nightcap – absolutely fantastic! I stayed for two nights and got to enjoy two different breakfasts, both Chinese and Western set meals, which were incredibly rich, refined, and delicious.

Whenever we get the chance, I try to take my family on trips while we can still gather together. This time, we visited Yangmingshan and Beitou, and it was actually my first time truly staying in Beitou. Before, most of my visits here were for work, like setting up a stall at the Beitou Market, always a quick in-and-out.
But I've always heard great things about Beitou's hot spring hotels, and my mother often mentioned this place, so I arranged this short trip for the weekend.
We stayed at Hotel Royal Beitou, and it was my first time experiencing the 'Hotel Royal' brand. In the past, I'd only dined at their properties in Taitung and Jiaoxi, and my impression of the brand has always been one of quality and meticulous service.
After actually staying there, it certainly lived up to its reputation. From the facilities to the service, you could feel their attention to detail. The activities arranged by the hotel, in particular, were quite different from typical hot spring hotels – things like escape rooms, yoga classes, and night tours made the stay more than just a place to sleep for a night.
The rooftop hot spring bath, though not huge, had a very comfortable atmosphere. It's a shame you couldn't see much of the scenery at night; otherwise, it would have been even better.
Since we love hot springs, we really pay attention to the amenities and toiletries. The lounge here offers iced tea and ice cream, and the toiletries in the bathing area are top-notch, even including scalp and facial care products.
Also, the room used a 'Sleeptofu' mattress and pillows, which were incredibly comfortable – easily one of the best night's sleep I've had recently.
The only minor downside was that parking fees were an additional cost. For accommodation priced close to ten thousand per night, having to pay extra for parking feels a bit disappointing.

This trip exceeded all our expectations! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful during check-in. When they learned it was our anniversary, they even upgraded us to a Maple Forest Room and surprised us with a lovely small cake in the evening, which made my wife very happy. The hot spring quality and facilities were top-notch. Although the water filter in the indoor water dispenser needed replacing, the staff quickly provided bottled mineral water. Overall, the minor flaw didn't detract from the experience. Highly recommended!

The service, food, hot spring tub were excellent and the staff was very attentive. The only thing I wish could have been better is the outlets to plug my phone into. We couldn’t find one in the bedroom/sleep quarters (Japanese tatami). So make sure to bring a portable charger if you don’t want to be away from your phone. Another advice would be more of a treat if they provided a face mask and sleep wear. The reason I’d suggest this is because another competitor hotel of theirs provided very considerate toiletries for the ladies and I think that was a HUGE plus for me considering we spent a lot of money for one night. Anyways, overall villa 32 is great if you just want to spend a few hours to relax.

khtravelThe hotel's interior decor is stunning, with a strong Japanese feel. The rooms are clean and spacious, featuring a private onsen and yukata. Plus, there are complimentary drinks and snacks. If you check in around 3 PM, you can enjoy a tea ceremony performance with free green tea and snacks. Breakfast offers a wide and delicious selection!

既反炒This is a great onsen ryokan. The front desk service is excellent, and the room facilities are comprehensive. The hot spring water is sufficiently hot, very hygienic, and clean. I definitely recommend coming again.
Also, be sure to book breakfast in advance, otherwise, you won't get any.

When I checked in, the front desk noticed it was my birthday month. Even though my birthday had passed two weeks prior, they still wished me a happy birthday and gave me a birthday gift for the month, which was incredibly thoughtful. My stay was just before Christmas, and the hotel had some lovely Christmas decorations that really added to the festive atmosphere. Although the hotel exterior is quite ordinary, with only a small double door entrance, the front desk staff and the room itself left a lasting impression. I'll definitely be staying here again.

The location is super convenient, just a 10-minute walk from the MRT station. The room has its own private hot spring, and the view is a natural park scene, which is really comfortable. My only complaint is that the hot spring tub is quite high and there's no stool provided to help get in and out, which made it difficult every time.

Guest UserI loved the outdoor hot spring pools, there are several ones of different temperatures and features. Staying in the hotel allows you to use the outdoor pools for free. It was relaxing to soak in the hot spring pools while enjoying the fresh outdoor air. Inside the hotel room also has hot spring tubs. The room was a bit dated, but clean and tidy overall. Breakfast was quite good too.

Guest UserIf you're looking for an awesome hot springs hotel, this could be a one. One it's a bit older and not super foreigner friendly. But if you speak some simple Chinese or you're willing to use a translator app, this place is pretty dang cool. You'll find locals who have memberships at the Hot springs there. The outdoor Hot spring is really cool and the water is 100% real Hot spring water so it's got that sulfur smell. I recommend getting a room with your own hot spring. This way, no matter what day you arrive, if there's anything about the hours not working at the public hot spring, you still have the opportunity to enjoy it. It's no five star brand new Hilton inn. But it's comfortable, sanitary and has a nice homey vibe. If you're staying for more then one day, I recommend that you tried the the local markets for a breakfast one day. The hotel breakfast is satisfactory. You'll see some buns, some rice, soy milk, a few vegetable options, some sausages, and a little bit of Western food. Very simple and gets the job one if you're not in the mood to explore. I came alone and I felt safe in a really enjoyed my time. I recommend you hike some of the local trails. There is some pretty epic hiking in this area. Don't be afraid to explore!!!
