A very good option overall, especially for budget travelers. I would rate the hotel 5 out of 5 for cleanliness, location, and service.
The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Rooms and common areas were tidy and comfortable, which makes a big difference when you are staying at a budget property.
The location is excellent. It is situated very close to a metro station, which makes getting around Taipei very convenient. For travelers planning to explore the city using public transport, the location works very well.
Service was also very good. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay.
In terms of amenities, travelers should manage expectations. The hotel provides the basics but not everything you might find in a full-service hotel. It is recommended to bring your own toiletries as only minimal items are provided in the room.
Breakfast is simple and delivered as a packed option, typically something like a sandwich or a burger-style item. It is basic but perfectly adequate. One nice touch is that the hotel offers free coffee throughout the day from a coffee machine and complimentary snacks such as chips and crackers at the reception area. They also provide bottled water upon request.
Overall, this is not a luxury or fancy hotel, but for budget travelers it is a very practical and comfortable choice. If you are looking for an affordable place that is clean, well located, and run by friendly staff, Tai Hope Hotel is a solid option.

MJ FERNThe location is super convenientâjust a short walk from Taipei Main Station, which made getting around the city and to the airport so easy. I always felt safe even when coming back a bit late, which is a huge plus when youâre traveling alone.
The place itself is clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and the common areas are nice if you want to relax or meet other travelers. What stood out the most was how accommodating and friendly the staff wereâtheyâre always ready to help with directions, recommendations, or anything you need.
As a female solo traveler, safety and comfort are everything, and Main Inn definitely delivered. It has a welcoming vibe that makes you feel at home while still being budget-friendly.
Highly recommend this place if youâre planning a solo trip to Taipei đ

Arial900The hotel is a bit difficult to find because the lobby is located at 5th floor but maybe that was my fault didât read the instruction carefuly but other than that itâs good enough for me and my family who just transit for a bit, i didnât know maybe itâs a bit to small for 3 person with a big luggage. But itâs clean and i have a nice rest there

Allie LoweThe reception staff is super nice- when I arrived with a bruised knee (luggage cart at T1 has malfunctioned wheels bumped at my leg), the young man assisted me with check-in while Iâm sitting nearby; & arranged an accessible room on site at no extra cost. Bathtub inside rooms super nice as shown in pic.
Tho I only stay for one night, their kindness is much appreciated. So I highly recommend this hotel ⌠while itâs a bit dated, the staff works to the best to ensure I have a great stay there. Will try to visit the night market next time; & Citylink nearby is a super big mall with plenty of eateries. Thank you again for accommodating my needs while Iâm travelling.

Siva Rama 256Check in takes only 5 minutes and check out much more faster with 10 seconds with a self check out machine that will suck in your room card.
Check in gets faster with your reply to the property telling them what type of room you have booked and what time you'll arrive. With booming businesses and too many bookings, the staff might get entangled in mess, so partially you reply is helping them to get grounded and avoid mistakes.
The property is clean, neat, nice and next to easy transport and family mart and 7e.

Luv to travelDue to its strategic location near Ximenting, this hotel commands a price premium. However is it really value for money? Not really.
The sound proofing is really bad. We were given rooms at the 3rd floor. You can clearly hear the noise from traffic below and even louder conversations from pedestrians along the street, including a lunatic screaming vulgar curses at the hotel from the ground floor at 2.10am.
Supposed to be equipped with laundromats (for a fee) but these were down the three days we were staying there. Breakfast was mostly Chinese selections with toasted bread and pastry choices.
Reception was robotic, no smiles, all following an SOP which they donât deviate from. All your questions have been anticipated so you should be patient and hold them. They will be answered at the end.
Honestly no one needs to stay near to Ximenting for the entire trip, with subway and public transport so convenient. And you donât go there every night so cast your net wider and you have more choices with better service and comfort.

Guest UserRoom 717 was clean. The CCTV cameras on every corner of the hallway made me feel secure. However, the hallway floors were very echoey, so you could hear everyone walking by. My double room had absolutely no hooks or hangers, which definitely needs improvement. My room also didn't have any USB charging ports (though some single rooms with private toilets did). There were only two-pin flat sockets, so if you wanted to use a larger international adapter by the bed, you'd have to unplug the fridge or TV. There were sockets by the door and the sink, but they weren't convenient for my use. I stayed for 5 nights, and on the last night, the air conditioning unit outside my window was intermittently loud and frequent, making it impossible to sleep. This needs to be fixed. For a double room, they only provided one key. If you wanted another, you had to pay a NT$500 deposit, which was returned, but without a receipt. When I asked for one, they just scribbled a note and told me to take a picture. I hope they can be more professional about this.

YYwei26Location is great. It is located just right opposite to the Taipei Main Station. You may stay here if you have an early flight has to catch. Things to remark is they didnât clean the room daily but they will collect the rubbish and change the towel daily which consider acceptable for us. One of my friends got bitten by the bugs and caused itching on the legs. The staff provided us ointment, offered room changing, sprayed some mist on our bed. Overall they did try their best to help.

The hotel's location is pretty good, close to the MRT station, and there are several convenience stores right outside.
However, what I really need to complain about is the bizarre placement of the showerhead in the bathroom! You can't stand and shower comfortably, and the water inevitably sprays all over the toilet seat and toilet paper (even with the shower curtain drawn properly). Even more horrifying, the hot water is incredibly difficult to regulate; it suddenly blasts out scalding hot water (not just warm).
