"I had a wonderful stay at Midtown Richardson Taipei. The location is convenient and literally right next to Ximen MRT Station, surrounded by shops, cafés, and the vibrant Ximending nightlife. The room was clean, well maintained, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was soft yet supportive. The service team was friendly and efficient and housekeeping was prompt and meticulous. Excellent value, great comfort, and a prime location for anyone visiting Taipei"

"The best thing about this hotel is its location — it’s right across from Taipei Main Station (South Gate). If you need an elevator, use Exit Z4; Exit Z2 only has stairs. The reception is on the 7th floor, and there are 4 elevators that aren’t usually crowded. There’s also a water dispenser where you can refill your bottle for free. However, the room wasn’t very clean. There was dust everywhere, and the carpet looked quite dirty. I also think there might have been some mold. Since I have asthma and allergies, it was hard for me to sleep comfortably. On the bright side, the water pressure in the bathroom was great."

"7.5/10 We stayed in this hotel many times, actually. - i feel a but disappointed that a smaller room was assigned but at least the front desk didn’t give me the room that I asked to avoid. -the housekeeping didn’t clean the room the second day so the next day I had to inform the staff in the lobby to make sure that the housekeeping would come to clean the room - No bottle or a jar (for refill the water) provided in the room as they don’t provided bottles of water any more so the guests have to refill the water from the machine, located on every floor instead. The first night, I have to buy a big bottle of water from 7-11 so we have a bottle to refill more water The front desk this time were quite nice this time , compared to the team that we met along 5 years (2017-2020 and 2023)"

"The hotel generously upgraded our rooms from twin single beds to twin double bed. The location is absolutely fantastic and strategic as it is located just across major transportation nodes for HSR, Local Train and Metro. The rooms may look a bit dated but if aesthetic isnt a major concern, all else considered, it was a convenient and pleasant stay."

"Overall 5/5 This is one of the best hotels I stayed in during my time in Taiwan. Room 5/5 - Suite The room was huge and we'll furnished, there was alot of space including a walk in wardrobe to hold all your items. The bed was comfy with a Android / YouTube TV in perfect view of the bed. The lounge is spacious with a working desk, a nice lounge area except the TV is not aligned with any couches. The boothroom is spacious and well lit. The toilet and shower are seperated but only by a clear glass door. Location 5/5 4 minute walk to Banqiao station."

"It took me a while to leave a review but this is, by far, one of my favourite hotels! Facilities: 10/10 - The gym is an external one that's connected to the building, and it's a full, proper gym. The room is amazing with abilities to surf YouTube as well. Location: 10/10 - It's right across the Taipei Arena, and near several bus stations and MRT so it's easy to get around. If you're looking to get the famous ChiaTe or LeeChi pineapple cakes, it's literally a few bus stops away. I'm so sorry this is overdue, but thank you for also preparing a cake and card for my birthday! I was out the entire day and it seems like they tried to send it up to my room a few times, so they left a card to get me to call them. Before I knew it, when I came back st almost 11pm, a staff came up to my door with the handwritten card and cake! Thank you!!"

"Perhaps one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! The location is incredibly convenient, just a 10-15 minute walk from Ximending station, making it easy to explore the area. The room was spacious and well-appointed, complete with complimentary bottled water. I appreciated that the housekeeping staff cleaned the room daily, provided you didn’t activate the ‘do not disturb’ button. The hotel features a unique underwater or submarine theme, which adds a fun and immersive atmosphere. I booked a room without windows, and while the lighting was somewhat dim, it created a cozy ambiance that I found quite pleasant. The receptionists were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests. A thoughtful addition to the hotel is the luggage scale available for guests, allowing you to weigh your bags before checking out—definitely a great touch! We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which I would rate a perfect 10/10! There was an impressive variety of food options, including a delightful hotpot selection. The bathroom facilities were well-designed, with the toilet and shower room separated for added convenience. They provided complimentary body wash and shampoo, and I was pleased to see that the bed sheets were changed daily, ensuring a fresh and clean environment throughout my stay. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent location, friendly service, and thoughtful amenities!"

"The check-in and the check-out were very fast and efficient and the team was nice and professional. The room itself was nice, well decorated in a Japanese style, and very clean. The bed was comfortable. The room was not very quiet and I cannot say it was toilets being flushed or a bathtub being emptied but there were, from time a very strong and rather long noise of water flowing in the pipes. I was also quite surprised that the hotel did not offer any breakfast service."

"This hotel is grand and spacious, consistently welcoming a large number of guests throughout our six-night stay. The staff were exceptional—efficient, attentive, and impeccably professional. We were thoroughly impressed by the Front Desk, Concierge, Housekeeping, and Café teams. Without hesitation, I would choose to stay here again on any future visit to Taipei. Truly deserving of 5 stars"

"Location was great. Lots of food options before 8pm. Just walk a block or two and you will have lots to pick from. Near metro, trains and airport MRT. Use the underground malls to get to the airport instead of walking above ground. Z8 or z6 exit but no escalator. We seem to have gotten a non-renovated room. Wallpaper and ceiling peeling. Carpet stained and covered by stained kitchen mat. If we complained, we could have gotten moved to a hardwood floor room and they seemed to be renovated. Unfortunately the bathroom was a deal breaker. Shower head was near the chin for this 5'7”person. Pressure was good, but the drain couldn't handle it causing the shower to puddle up. Deal breaker was the toilet and not being able to flush toilet paper. No thanks to throwing it in the bin. Unfortunately we booked 4nights quickly and lost the whole amount due to no early checkout or refund policy. Tldr: good budget hotel, good location, bathroom and room need updating Toilet paper in bin."
