My stay was not enjoyable—the room wasn’t very clean, and the hotel seemed poorly maintained. I was also surprised that basic amenities were being sold instead of provided. Overall, I expected much better care and service.

The room quality varies depending on the floor. Initially, we were allocated a lower-floor room facing the lift, which felt very dated and worn – not at all what we’d expect from a 4-star hotel. Fortunately, we managed to switch to a higher-floor room that had been recently renovated and met the standard I anticipated. Overall, then, it’s a rather mixed review.

This was the 3rd stay in the last 2 months. First I made a mistake and double booked our rooms. The hotel was very fast to cancel one of my bookings without any charges. On arrival, Vanessa at the front desk was very nice and helped arrange adjoining rooms for my wife and I and adjoining room for my 2 boys.
Aside from easy access to the MTR and lots of restaurants all around the hotel offers a spectacular view of the Victoria Harbor from their VIP Lounge on the top floor.
For hotels with similar prices in the area I highly recommend the Empire.

I needed somewhere to stay at the last minute (at 2am) and this 4star hotel was well-priced. I felt very welcome when I arrived and the friendly lady gave me a free upgrade to a triple room. The room was generously sized and even had a bath tub. It was also spotlessly clean. The wifi was good and I was able to do an early meeting from the room. The hotel also supports disadvantaged children by displaying their artwork. I would definitely stay here again!

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, my experience was not satisfactory. The Wi-Fi in my room was completely unusable, which made it difficult to stay connected. Additionally, the television could not find any channels, leaving me without entertainment. To make matters worse, the sofa in the wardrobe area was not clean; there were still strands of hair on it, which was quite off-putting. Overall, the lack of basic amenities and cleanliness issues greatly affected my stay. I hope the management addresses these concerns for future guests.
