Despite Chungking Mansions’ infamous reputation, Hollywood Guesthouse was a clean, safe, and comfortable haven. The room was compact (as expected in Hong Kong) but well-maintained, with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and a comfortable bed—everything I needed after a long day of exploring. The owner was friendly and helpful, offering tips on navigating the area.
The food scene was incredible—right in the building, I tried delicious Indian, Nepali, and Pakistani cuisine. Nearby, local Cantonese eats and the Temple Street Night Market were must-visits!
The area is vibrant and multicultural, with easy access to Tsim Sha Tsui’s sights, shopping, and nightlife. Despite Chungking Mansions’ busy vibe, I felt safe and welcome.
