We stayed at this hotel as a large group, 28 people. On arrival we were met by friendly and helpful staff who checked us in without any issues. The bedrooms were modern clean and spacious. The facilities in the rooms were excellent with coffee machine, fridge and large TV. The buffet breakfast had a large selection of cooked breakfast items, cold meats and cheese, and pastries. The hotel was located near bus stops where you travel to Vandroot for the beach or Amsterdam for onward travel. There is also a large supermarket nearby, 5 min walk, which makes this an ideal place to stay to enjoy Haarlem. I will return with my family the next time.
This is an an excellent hotel with easy access to Amsterdam. We travelled on the RNet bus from Schipol airport directly to the hotel. The railway station across the square from the hotel gives you 30 minute access into Amsterdam. Also great access to Haarlem a lovely town a mini version of Amsterdam without the crowds. The rooms are clean and modern. Staff very helpful and cheerful. We had a very relaxing 3 night stay here. The only negative the hot breakfast scrambled egg bacon and sausage needs to be kept hot it was cold and on cold plates not great. Good choice of continental foods breads waffles etc.
The location in the city center is fantastic, and the restaurant and bar downstairs is nice. The hotel staff were super friendly, kind and attentive. However, the rooms are cramped, dirty and do not have ac. It was so hot up there and we had to leave the windows open, resulting in bug bites and restless sleep. For the price, I didn’t expect to sleep in such terrible conditions…

I loved staying at Carlton Square! My room was great, enjoyed having the door to the balcony open in the mornings while I had my coffee. It was very clean, the bed was wonderful! I slept so good! The staff were very nice and friendly and helpful. Loved the water pitcher by the front desk and mints. The little things.
My husband and I had a lovely 3 night stay here in a deluxe room on the 2nd floor. It is a small hotel and feels very personal. Haarlem is a pretty little town and is an easy base to spend time in Amsterdam but have a quieter place to come back to (that is still big enough to have plenty of dinner options). We were so glad we stayed in Haarlem to see things in Amsterdam. Took about 15 mins on the train to get to Amsterdam and the train station is just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. Our room was large with a super comfortable bed and we never heard a sound from any other room or from outside! Incredibly peaceful. Reception staff were really friendly and helpful with suggestions on where to eat etc. The kitchen staff were excellent - lovely food and so keen to cook food fresh for us each day to add to what was already put out on the buffet. There is a lounge area for guests with complimentary biscuits, lollies, tea, coffee etc - and an honesty system to pay for alcohol and more substantial snacks - and a table tennis table, magazines, books, comfy chairs - and also a common outdoor space. We left on a Saturday afternoon to catch a train a Belguim and spent the morning at the markets. Great way to spend our last morning in Haarlem. Only negative is that there is no lift and the stairs are steep. If you have limited mobility you should mention this to the hotel before booking. There were rooms on the ground floor and i'm sure the staff could arrange for these rooms to be allocated to you or to help get your luggage upstairs (if you manage the stairs if you didn't need to get your luggage up). We loved our room up on the 2nd floor as it was so quiet but the stairs were steep so be aware of that if your mobility is limited.

I enjoyed everything about this hotel. The location is perfect for walking around old Haarlem. The rooms were comfortable and the staff were friendly. My room was above the street which was noisy at night, but with the windows closed it was tolerable. The upside was a view of the church. The breakfast buffet was OK. However, the hotel is also a quick walk away from some great bakeries with some of the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had.

Bambu Sleep Boutique offers two unique rooms with view and two unique rooms without a view and therefore quieter at the Grote Markt in the centre of historic Haarlem, a 10-minute walk from the railway station. The on-site restaurant Bambu Kitchen & Bar serves small Asian dishes for lunch and dinner. The unique rooms at Bambu Sleep Boutique come with TV and a private bathroom with a shower. Zandvoort and the sandy North Sea beach are both just over a 15-minute drive away. Bambu Sleep Boutique is 25 minutes by car from the famous Keukenhof gardens in Lisse. The centre of Amsterdam is 30 minutes away by car.
The hotel is located on the outskirts of Haarlem, a good 35-minute walk to the central square. There is very little around it in terms of shops or cafes or restaurants. So calling it ”Haarlem City” is a bit of a stretch! It is a 12-minute walk (through a nice residential area) to Bloemendaal train station, which makes it quite easy to get to Amsterdam. Haarlem's main train station is about a 25-minute walk from the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and good size. But (and this is a big but!) the hotel was built right next to a big sports centre and if your room faces north it will block your window as it is literally in front of it. This is a really poor design choice, it makes affected rooms feel claustrophobic. This is something the hotel should make clear at the time of booking. Parking in front of the hotel costs 7.5 Euros per night. Given its non-central location, you would expect parking to be free. So mixed feelings overall. Nice and spacious rooms, but the issues I mentioned above detract from the overall experience and value for money.

Teylers Museum
DDEAR张小球The Taylor Museum is a museum next to the restaurant we went to eat. This is an older museum in Amsterdam and a museum that introduces a lot of old Dutch things. It is very delicate.
Windmill De Adriaan
Ccoo***anThe Adrian Windmill takes about 30 minutes to get on board next to the Miffy shop. The captain is not local but very friendly, introducing the best seats and explaining the five windmills, Chocolate Factory, the most expensive House and other houses. Although there is no waiter at the Bar, the captain is willing to serve as a waiter before sailing, serving food and drinks
Grote Markt
剑剑客阿钗I have seen "Daisy" in the university, and I came here. Unfortunately, there is no market on Sunday, but the locals can learn to watch the leisurely cafe time and sunbathe. A quiet and leisurely small city, very good.
Museum Haarlem
稻稻草人cyqThe Harlem History Museum, located on the street of the Museum in Harlem, is not big in the museum. The museum displays the ancient home decoration ornaments in Harlem history, various historical documents, and has a deeper understanding of the city after visiting.
Stadhuis
自自闭的瓶子A historical building, on the side of the cathedral, is easy to identify, and on Sunday, his front door is often occupied by the market. There are several small shops nearby, which sell second-hand goods, such as the previous scorpion, the kind with patterns, and such as the leather case of the telescope, you can calm down to Tao Tao "bao"
Frans Hals Museum
稻稻草人cyqHales Museum, located in downtown Harlem, Renaissance style building, is the personal art museum of the famous Dutch painter Hales, the museum has a large collection of paintings created by his life. To book tickets to visit, there are not many people, quiet.
