"I needed an early check-in, so I emailed them in advance and they arranged it for me, which was very helpful! I was able to check into my room around 12:00, although it depends on availability. I appreciated the complimentary early check-in. The room was clean, but typical of this type of laid-back European hotel, there were almost no amenities. There was only hand soap and a bottle of body soap/shampoo. They don't sell any amenities, so you'll need to bring your own toothbrush, hair treatment, hairbrush, facial cleanser, and moisturizer. While you can go out and buy them (cross the wide road diagonally to the right and go further in past the Pathe Haarlem movie theater), I recommend bringing your own if you're traveling from Asia and may experience jet lag and sleepiness. Since my main purpose this time was to stay and work, rather than sightseeing, I spent a lot of time in my room. The staff were kind and courteous in English, but there was no kettle in the room, so I couldn't make hot tea, which was disappointing. I asked in the lobby and was told that tea and coffee are not available outside of breakfast time. However, they did offer me a complimentary cup of tea as a special treat. Regarding food heating, I asked if I wanted to microwave the pasta I'd bought at the supermarket, and they gladly did so. I worked at a large table on the first floor after checking out, and the staff smiled and said, ”Please take your time and use it,” which I appreciated. They sold canned drinks on the first floor. They were a little pricey, so I didn't buy any, but they also sold key chains, which are typical of the Netherlands, and the prices were more affordable than at airports, so I wish I had. The breakfast was small, but I was satisfied with the variety of breads, with plenty of toppings (cheese and coleslaw salad), hot and cold dishes, bean dishes, and a wide selection of drinks. The room was quiet and comfortable. I think this hotel is worth the price, or even better. Thank you."
