The room is clean and comfy with mountain view no matter if you are staying at the front or back of the hotel. The staffs are really nice as well. "Here are some useful tips about this hotel: 1. Don't trust Google Maps when leaving the station – it'll lead you up a cliff! Definitely take the bus or a longer road to get here. 2. The room amenities are a bit lacking. There are no bedside power outlets or privacy curtains. You also need to put on your own duvet cover, pillowcases, and bedsheet. 3. These are the only two downsides. For a budget hostel in Switzerland, the breakfast is quite good. The common kitchen has a hot water kettle, fridge, and microwave, so coupled with Coop nearby, you won't have any issues with meals."

The breakfast was also very good, with a wide selection, and enjoying the mountain views while eating breakfast was a perfect start to the day. The room was comfortable and clean, and the hotel facilities were well-maintained. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay. If I come back to Grindelwald in the future, I would be happy to stay here again."

Just a short stroll from Grindelwald train station, the hotel sits right in the heart of the village, with shops and a supermarket practically at the doorstep. It made exploring the Jungfrau region effortless — whether hopping on a train to the mountain passes or simply wandering through the charming streets. What really stood out was how well the hotel is equipped. The amenities went beyond what I expected, even compared to my previous stay at an upscale property in Lucerne. Breakfast was sumptuous . Each morning, we enjoyed a generous spread in a bright breakfast room with lovely views of the surrounding peaks. Overall, Hotel Central Wolter offers good value for money. It combines convenience, comfort, and a touch of charm."

The views are absolutely stunning, and the location is excellent, just a 4-minute walk from Grindelwald station down a small path to the hotel. Although the price I paid was the highest for the summer, I still feel it was worth every penny. For a 6,000 to 10,000 (CHF/USD/EUR) stay, the view alone was worth 4,000, the service 1,000, and the location 1,000."

The room is clean and spacious. You can see the snow-capped mountains and the dreamy hillside when you open the balcony. "The hotel is uphill at the other end of grindelwald, not too close to Grindelwald station and Coop, fortunately the door is bus 121, 122, 123, but at first I saw Google map that it was a 15-minute walk from the train station only, but I knew it was quite hard to push luggage up the slope  Fortunately, it is close to Pfingstegg and First cable car stations, and Jungfrau must either take bus 121, 123 or train to Grindelwald Terminal station, change to the Eiger Cable car, or go to Grindelwald station and take the Train to Kleine Scheidegg Although I live up to 4/F, the room has no air conditioning, so insects have entered the room🫨 But the scenery is beautiful, the room is big, the worst thing is no refrigerator, can only cook the noodles in the room Breakfast itself thought there was very little food, but you can order hot drink and egg separately, which is quite good Although seeing hotel restaurant dinner seems to be praised by many people, but too expensive, the cheapest is the 4-course menu d fine din, have to over CHF100"

"Small, charming hotel. It has a FABULOUS view of the Eiger North Face. The concierge was really kind and took the time to speak "good German" with us Ticinese, when EVERYONE only speaks Bernese dialect (and a strong one at that) and English. He explained how to get around Grindelwald by public transportation and where (and how) to take buses to the Jungfrau. He really put in the effort, I must say. Thank you. The hotel is about 600 meters from the Grindelwald train station, NOT the terminal, but the terminus. But there are buses coming and going, so no problem."

"We stayed for two nights and found the hotel quite nice. It's located halfway up First Mountain, near the Bort cable car stop. The Trottibike ride starts here and ends at the foot of the mountain. We booked this hotel because we wanted to explore First Mountain. The hotel is small, with about 10 rooms. There's no air conditioning in the rooms, so it gets a bit hot in the first half of the night in summer, but not in the second half. There's heating in winter. If you stay here, remember to check in before 5 PM, as we needed to take the cable car from the town of Grindelwald at the foot of the mountain. The last cable car departs around 5-6 PM, so unless you're driving, getting back to the hotel at night is quite inconvenient. If you prefer a quiet environment and want a direct view of First Mountain from your window, this is a great choice. The buffet breakfast area below the hotel also has a great view of the snow-capped mountains. The room price is reasonable. The cable car ride down from Bort is only one stop, taking about ten minutes. There's also a small playground next to the hotel suitable for children."

"It's about a 10-minute walk from Grindelwald Station, and the bus dispatch interval is long, so you have to calculate your time before moving. It was nice to be able to cook, but it wasn't very pleasant because of the smell of burnt oil in the room that doesn't go away even with ventilation. I think 1 towel per person for 2 nights was a bit too much. However, the view of the Eiger North Wall from the balcony was very beautiful enough to accommodate all these easy points."
