Best Fuzhou Hotels

"For this trip, I opted for a traditional Chinese-style guesthouse located right at the entrance of Fuzhou's Shangxiahang Scenic Area. Housed in a charming old building, its overall aesthetic and comfort level were truly impressive. The proprietor was incredibly kind and attentive to every detail. The guesthouse offers complimentary afternoon tea (two servings of tea, fruits, and small snacks) and a free Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) experience, allowing you to freely explore the Shangxiahang Scenic Area dressed in traditional attire. For those who enjoy calligraphy or traditional ink painting, this place is a dream – they provide complimentary brushes, ink, paper, and an inkstone, all set up on a wonderfully large table. It's worth noting that while most hotels and guesthouses typically have a 2 PM check-in and 12 PM check-out, this one offers an early check-in at 11 AM and a late check-out at 1 PM the next day, provided you inform them a day in advance. During check-out, I had a brief chat with the owner who was preparing tea. He was so welcoming and accommodating. When I casually mentioned I'd forgotten about breakfast, he said they could provide it anytime, as long as you ask beforehand, not strictly limited to the usual breakfast hours (which are apparently 8-10 AM). Nearby, you'll find Fuzhou's famous old eateries: 'Erlongbo Yuanxiao,' 'Tongli Rouyan,' and Dadao's 'Yiqiang Niuhua.' On the same street as 'Niuhua,' there's also 'Hao Li Bing' (Oyster Cake). You truly can't go wrong with any of these places; they're all highly recommended! For 'Laohua,' I suggest trying 'Axin.' As for fish balls, it's a matter of personal taste, but you might as well try them at Tongli Rouyan while you're there. 😂 All in all, this guesthouse boasts a fantastic location, both its physical facilities and service quality were outstanding, and there are plenty of delicious food options nearby. Absolutely superb! 👍🏻"

"The hotel boasts an excellent, central location. Despite being right downtown, it's surprisingly quiet and offers easy access to all major attractions. Many popular eateries and snack bars offer delivery services to the hotel, and public transportation is incredibly convenient. Plus, parking is free. The rooms are clean, tidy, and comfortable. The service is incredibly thoughtful; during check-in, the staff noticed it was my family member's birthday the next day and even sent a small cake to celebrate. Fitness is also very convenient, with a 24/7 gym located downstairs. It's fully equipped with modern, new machines, and the floor-to-ceiling windows overlook Wushan, providing a beautiful backdrop that makes exercising even more motivating."

"The room was clean and spacious and very enjoyable to be in for 4 nights. The service in this hotel is commendable and they really go the extra mile. First of all, there were issues with the first two rooms I was assigned. By the second room, I passed a comment “forget it, I’m lazy to request for a new room again” and the concierge staff with me offered to go down and get me another room. I didn’t get his name but I appreciate it and I got to have a comfortable stay thanks to him. The other incident involved my Taobao return package which was divided into two parts and only one package reached the seller. I had already left China by then and was severely limited in trying to resolve the issue myself. I emailed the hotel for assistance, and am very grateful to Wilson Ye from Concierge who spent a few days following up with the platform and courier. Would strongly recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again if I ever visit Fuzhou."

"Choosing the ME Hotel for my trip to Fuzhou was absolutely the right decision! The lobby instantly wowed me. The LED lights on the ceiling, designed to mimic banyan tree roots, paired with a jasmine-flower-shaped DJ booth, and jasmine patterns adorning the carpets and chairs – it all creates such a strong Fuzhou vibe! It's incredibly photogenic. The room itself was full of delightful surprises: goldfish-themed throw pillows and olive-shaped lumbar cushions, all highlighting Fuzhou's unique local culture, making the stay feel incredibly special. The TV offered screen mirroring for mobile phones, and the air conditioning kept the room perfectly comfortable. What truly impressed me were the complimentary capsule coffee, snacks, and the fully stocked mini-fridge with drinks – all free to consume! Such a thoughtful touch! A vanity table and garment steamer were provided, and the toiletries were from Jo Malone. They even thought of bath sachets! The attention to detail was absolutely impeccable. The MEJI Restaurant on the 7th floor also boasts a charming ambiance. With Fuzhou dialect displayed on the walls and decor featuring oil-paper umbrellas and goldfish, you truly feel immersed in Fuzhou culture even at breakfast. Their Hong Kong-style dim sum and mini hot pot for lunch and dinner were also super delicious. I also really loved the CHAOLI Lobby Bar on the first floor. During the day, it's perfect for afternoon tea and enjoying the sunshine, but in the evening, it transforms into a lively bar with changing music and lighting, creating a fantastic atmosphere. A special shout-out to the hotel staff! They are all incredibly young, energetic, and genuinely friendly. It was a true pleasure interacting with them. I even felt like I might have missed some of the many thoughtful details during my stay, which is a bit of a shame. But without a doubt, I'll be staying here again on my next visit to Fuzhou!"

"This hotel was a pleasant surprise! It offers great value for money and the service was excellent. It's conveniently located near the airport with shuttle service, and there's a food street nearby. The front desk attendant was incredibly charming and even upgraded me to a suite for free. The suite was super comfortable, and I was absolutely thrilled. I'll definitely be staying at Lan'Ou Hotel again!"

"The hotel boasts a very convenient location in the city center, less than 3 kilometers from Sanfang Qixiang. The staff were both professional and patient, always ready to answer any questions we had. 5 star recommendation!"

"This hotel boasts a prime location, perched at a high point within the scenic area, with convenient shuttle services for easy access. The staff provided excellent service, and the breakfast spread was incredibly varied, delicious, and plentiful. The facilities are comprehensive, including a well-equipped gym. The hotel's surroundings are picturesque, and it's incredibly convenient for visiting the Yantaishan Scenic Area. The views from the balcony are absolutely stunning, offering panoramic vistas of the Minjiang River, and in the evening, you can even enjoy the spectacular Minjiang light show. It's truly a fantastic hotel! My children absolutely loved it. We'll definitely be staying here again on our next visit."

"The hotel is very close to the subway station and Fuzhou Station, so it is very convenient to go anywhere. The breakfast variety is not large, but it is still rich! Booked during the Spring Festival, there is no twin room, and no extra bed, but at least you can give me a bed quilt. Even the quilt was not given, so I could only put 2 sofa chairs next to the bed, and the family of three slept next to each other for one night! The store should be well prepared, in terms of service"

"Generally we had a wonderful stay with excellent service from the staffs at the reception and breakfast.  The buggy service was great to send us to or pick us from the gantry of the street.  It was thoughtful of the hotel to provide guests hot tea or water at the reception area.  It adds convenient for any tiring and thirsty returning hotel guests. The only thing we did not enjoy was visitors from outside who walk into the Courtyard where our ground floor rooms are located.  I had a shock when a couple of guys who peep into our room only realised later they were non hotel guests.  A few times it happened with some visitors peeping as we did not close our main door for our 2 neighbouring rooms.  The management should consider using the key tapped glass door similar to the one outside the breakfast room, as visitors can still view the small MingGuo Yuen courtyard with the double storey rooms through the glass  doors.  This also helps to avoid noisy visitors disturbing our rest in the room. Lastly the breakfast was reasonable and I love the hot soup noodle with Fuzhou fishball and dumplings.  Overall its an excellent stay, convenient location to the train station and definitely the tourist street SanFanQiXiang."
