"For this trip, I opted for a traditional Chinese-style guesthouse located right at the entrance of Fuzhou's Shangxiahang Scenic Area. Housed in a charming old building, its overall aesthetic and comfort level were truly impressive. The proprietor was incredibly kind and attentive to every detail.
The guesthouse offers complimentary afternoon tea (two servings of tea, fruits, and small snacks) and a free Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) experience, allowing you to freely explore the Shangxiahang Scenic Area dressed in traditional attire. For those who enjoy calligraphy or traditional ink painting, this place is a dream – they provide complimentary brushes, ink, paper, and an inkstone, all set up on a wonderfully large table.
It's worth noting that while most hotels and guesthouses typically have a 2 PM check-in and 12 PM check-out, this one offers an early check-in at 11 AM and a late check-out at 1 PM the next day, provided you inform them a day in advance.
During check-out, I had a brief chat with the owner who was preparing tea. He was so welcoming and accommodating. When I casually mentioned I'd forgotten about breakfast, he said they could provide it anytime, as long as you ask beforehand, not strictly limited to the usual breakfast hours (which are apparently 8-10 AM).
Nearby, you'll find Fuzhou's famous old eateries: 'Erlongbo Yuanxiao,' 'Tongli Rouyan,' and Dadao's 'Yiqiang Niuhua.' On the same street as 'Niuhua,' there's also 'Hao Li Bing' (Oyster Cake). You truly can't go wrong with any of these places; they're all highly recommended! For 'Laohua,' I suggest trying 'Axin.' As for fish balls, it's a matter of personal taste, but you might as well try them at Tongli Rouyan while you're there. 😂
All in all, this guesthouse boasts a fantastic location, both its physical facilities and service quality were outstanding, and there are plenty of delicious food options nearby. Absolutely superb! 👍🏻"

"The hotel boasts an excellent, central location. Despite being right downtown, it's surprisingly quiet and offers easy access to all major attractions. Many popular eateries and snack bars offer delivery services to the hotel, and public transportation is incredibly convenient. Plus, parking is free.
The rooms are clean, tidy, and comfortable. The service is incredibly thoughtful; during check-in, the staff noticed it was my family member's birthday the next day and even sent a small cake to celebrate.
Fitness is also very convenient, with a 24/7 gym located downstairs. It's fully equipped with modern, new machines, and the floor-to-ceiling windows overlook Wushan, providing a beautiful backdrop that makes exercising even more motivating."

"The room was clean and spacious and very enjoyable to be in for 4 nights. The service in this hotel is commendable and they really go the extra mile.
First of all, there were issues with the first two rooms I was assigned. By the second room, I passed a comment “forget it, I’m lazy to request for a new room again” and the concierge staff with me offered to go down and get me another room. I didn’t get his name but I appreciate it and I got to have a comfortable stay thanks to him.
The other incident involved my Taobao return package which was divided into two parts and only one package reached the seller. I had already left China by then and was severely limited in trying to resolve the issue myself. I emailed the hotel for assistance, and am very grateful to Wilson Ye from Concierge who spent a few days following up with the platform and courier.
Would strongly recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again if I ever visit Fuzhou."

"Choosing the ME Hotel for my trip to Fuzhou was absolutely the right decision!
The lobby instantly wowed me. The LED lights on the ceiling, designed to mimic banyan tree roots, paired with a jasmine-flower-shaped DJ booth, and jasmine patterns adorning the carpets and chairs – it all creates such a strong Fuzhou vibe! It's incredibly photogenic.
The room itself was full of delightful surprises: goldfish-themed throw pillows and olive-shaped lumbar cushions, all highlighting Fuzhou's unique local culture, making the stay feel incredibly special. The TV offered screen mirroring for mobile phones, and the air conditioning kept the room perfectly comfortable. What truly impressed me were the complimentary capsule coffee, snacks, and the fully stocked mini-fridge with drinks – all free to consume! Such a thoughtful touch! A vanity table and garment steamer were provided, and the toiletries were from Jo Malone. They even thought of bath sachets! The attention to detail was absolutely impeccable.
The MEJI Restaurant on the 7th floor also boasts a charming ambiance. With Fuzhou dialect displayed on the walls and decor featuring oil-paper umbrellas and goldfish, you truly feel immersed in Fuzhou culture even at breakfast. Their Hong Kong-style dim sum and mini hot pot for lunch and dinner were also super delicious.
I also really loved the CHAOLI Lobby Bar on the first floor. During the day, it's perfect for afternoon tea and enjoying the sunshine, but in the evening, it transforms into a lively bar with changing music and lighting, creating a fantastic atmosphere.
A special shout-out to the hotel staff! They are all incredibly young, energetic, and genuinely friendly. It was a true pleasure interacting with them. I even felt like I might have missed some of the many thoughtful details during my stay, which is a bit of a shame. But without a doubt, I'll be staying here again on my next visit to Fuzhou!"

Booked during the Spring Festival, there is no twin room, and no extra bed, but at least you can give me a bed quilt. Even the quilt was not given, so I could only put 2 sofa chairs next to the bed, and the family of three slept next to each other for one night!

JJ995LMy wife and I recently spent a few days at the Fuzhou Sanbaobindi Hotel for a much-needed getaway, and it was, without question, the best hotel experience we’ve ever had. Situated in the heart of Fuzhou’s historic Sanfang Qixiang district, the hotel was the perfect base for exploring the cultural treasures of old Fuzhou—all within easy walking distance, including access to the metro.
From the moment we stepped in, the experience was exceptional. We were warmly welcomed with traditional tea and snacks, and the check-in process was a breeze—under three minutes! Our room overlooked a beautifully manicured Chinese garden and perfectly balanced traditional design with modern comfort. Every detail in the room was spotless, showing a clear respect for the historical architecture.
The true highlight of our stay, however, was the level of care and hospitality provided by the staff, especially our guest services manager, Roy Huang. Roy went above and beyond, offering us night snacks and daily desserts and taking time to share insights into Fuzhou’s rich history and culture. Our conversations with him were a true pleasure—learning about the city’s architecture, the hotel’s own story, and even the local tea culture, which he introduced us to with great care and knowledge.
It’s rare to meet someone who makes you feel so genuinely welcome. Roy’s attention to detail and kindness transformed our stay into something extraordinary. We left Fuzhou with a much deeper appreciation for the city, and it was all thanks to the team at the Sanbaobindi Hotel.
If you’re looking for an authentic yet refined stay that captures the spirit of traditional Fuzhou, I couldn’t recommend the Sanbaobindi Hotel highly enough. A heartfelt thank you to Roy and the entire staff for making this trip truly unforgettable.

What's even more remarkable is that despite his exceptional service, he refused to accept any tips. His kindness and generosity truly made our stay memorable.

__WeChat42922****Let me start by praising the hotel's ambiance. Perched by the Min River, the lobby on a high floor offers an immediate sense of spaciousness, akin to a 'sky lounge.' I particularly loved the lobby lounge; its enormous floor-to-ceiling windows offer breathtaking river and city views. Whether it's watching boats glide by during the day or admiring the glittering city lights at night, it's an absolute delight.
The thoughtful design and meticulous details are evident throughout the guest rooms. The bedding is incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom is spacious. Soaking in the bathtub while enjoying the night view instantly melted away all travel fatigue. Hilton's renowned service standards truly shone through here. From the warm smiles of the bellmen proactively helping with luggage upon arrival, to the efficient, professional, and welcoming check-in process at the front desk, every single interaction made us feel respected and valued.
I must give a very, very special shout-out to one particular staff member – Kelly. Upon check-out, I realized I had left behind a strip of medication, which was very important. Kelly very efficiently helped me locate it in the room and sent me a photo. That's when I discovered I had forgotten other items too. She kindly gathered them all for me to pick up later. Her genuine desire to ensure guests have a perfect experience was truly heartwarming!
The hotel's breakfast alone was worth waking up early for! It offered a fantastic selection of authentic Fuzhou local snacks, such as Rou Yan (swallow dumplings) and fish balls. As an out-of-town visitor, I didn't have to venture far; the hotel provided a one-stop experience of the most authentic Fuzhou breakfast culture, and the taste was incredibly genuine!
I highly recommend trying their Executive Lounge benefits and Chinese restaurant; both are reportedly excellent. I didn't get a chance to experience them this time, so I'll save that for my next visit!

GGuest UserI rarely leave reviews, but the exceptional service at this hotel absolutely warrants one. As I occasionally travel to Fuzhou for business, I've stayed at most of the 5-star hotels near Fuzhou South Station, and they've all been pretty average. This hotel, however, is new, with great facilities including a laundry room, gym, and plenty of underground parking. The EV charging stations and self-service car wash are also a huge plus, making things incredibly convenient. The staff's service attitude is also excellent, especially the slightly taller lady at the front desk whose service was truly exceptional. She came to my room to pick up my laundry and even delivered it back in the early hours of the morning. To avoid disturbing my rest, she thoughtfully hung it on the doorknob. Such attention to detail was truly impressive. Dining options downstairs are also very convenient, with a variety of restaurants catering to different tastes. The hotel also provides a breakfast with a wide variety of options. Most importantly, the rooms themselves are clean and comfortable. Overall, I'd say it's one of the best value-for-money hotels near Fuzhou South Station.

1118444****This hotel is great! It's just a 10-minute bike ride to West Lake Park, Sanfang Qixiang, and the Provincial Museum, so the location is superb. What truly impressed me was the front desk staff; the ladies were incredibly helpful and accommodating, always ready to assist. Moreover, the hotel's cleanliness was impeccable. The breakfast here was genuinely one of the best I've had at a hotel – I highly recommend trying it if you have time in the morning.

GGuest UserI would have given this hotel 5 stars but unfortunately the front desk staff is not very welcoming to “foreigners” as they call people who are not Chinese. The room and amenities are excellent but the front desk staff should be trained to greet everyone alike and not be afraid to communicate with “foreigners” via a translator. That’s what I have been doing since I don’t speak any Chinese. One staff member ran away when I handed my Canadian passport to him and told him I couldn’t speak Chinese. He panicked and literally gave my passport to his colleague to handle my check-in. Then he ran to help the lady behind me. I find this unprofessional. Then his colleague got annoyed that I couldn’t understand her writing of my room number when I asked her what it was. She wrote a ‘P’ instead of a 9. Thankfully, a very nice guest had to help me clarify the room and floor number. I had a completely different experience at the Atour hotel In Xiamen the previous two days. The staff there didn’t speak English but they were friendly and welcoming, and we communicated just fine with the translators. I have been travelling throughout China for three weeks, and this is the first hotel where the front desk lacks a sense of guest-service. Although I loved my room and the cleanliness, I will not be staying here again. A hotel this close to the airport should train their staff to do their best to welcome everyone: nationals and “foreigners” alike.

Environment: Taicor Plaza is right nearby, making it very convenient for dining and entertainment. However, we were just passing through this time and didn't get to try much.
Service: The service was standard but satisfactory, with fairly prompt responses.

GGuest UserThis is the our first visit to Fuzhou. I traveled with my husband and my mum. I booked 4 different hotels for a total of 9 nights in Fuzhou. Narada is the second hotel.
We stayed for two nights at the private hot spring wing. Was given free upgrade upon checking in. We were then driven to our rooms by the lovely front desk lady, Xiao Li (前台小李). She is very professional, super helpful as the moment we got out of the cab, she carried all our baggages. Throughout our trip, she is always there to answer all our questions and is very warm and personable.
The next morning, we then called the front desk for the buggy to pick us up to the main hotel side for breakfast. The spread is very good with both Chinese and Western cuisine. The chefs are very nice and approachable. I want to take this chance to thank the restaurant waitress, Chen Hong (陈虹). Every morning we were greeted by her superb service. She shared with us about the culture, food and places to go in Fuzhou. She really go out of the way to make us feel welcomed.
Checking out was a breeze too. We just called the front desk and leave our keys in the room and head off. We then made our way to next hotel nearer to the city centre. We were shocked by the condition as the surroundings and the exterior of the hotel looked so rundown and dirty. We then decide to go back to Narada. We were again served by Xiao Li (前台小李). The moment she saw us, she immediately came to us asking if there’s anything she can help us with. We told her about our horrific encounter at the other hotel and she helped us arrange for 2 rooms at the main hotel side. She even brought us up to see the rooms before committing the stay. We also met Chen Hong (陈虹) while waiting for the rooms, she was empathic and recommended other local places and events. We were so impressed by the rooms, the hospitality and the impeccable service by Xiao Li (前台小李) and Chen Hong (西餐厅陈虹) that we decided not to move in to the city centre and stayed here for 7 more nights before our flight back to Singapore.
Big thumbs up to Narada Resort & Spa, Shoukai, Fuzhou. The people there are truly amazing. Thank you very much!

Service: I strongly recommend and praise the lobby manager. When I came, I met him in the lobby with my family to check in. Thank you for his meticulous service. He helped me get water and bags, and carefully observed and asked if we had just got off the plane. He was a girl from another place and recommended a lot of delicious food to me. Because I need to use a computer for work, I didn’t expect that the room can support cloud computers to solve office problems. The lobby manager also came up to help operate it. The facilities are great. Thank you for his service.
Guest room: Although the room facilities are a little old, it is quite clean. The most important thing for travel is cleanliness!
This is a very good hotel. I was afraid of stepping on thunder before coming, but after staying in, I found that it is really great. I hope you will do better and better!
