"Very sociable kind staff who talk to you like a regular friend coming in, plain rooms but nice sized windows for the fresh air, great rooftop view alllllll over the mountain and the ocean - especially lovely at night as everything is lit up. Cute bar setup aside the pool too! Good price for its perfect location and cleanliness and covering all the basics and a bit more. Good brunch cafe just across the street facing the cafe! The staff were super helpful with setting up a late checkin too."

I didn't feel anything special when I looked at the website pictures, but I still believe in my friends and I booked them. "We stayed in the hotel with group of friends. The experience was really nice — rooms are clean and design are interesting and cozy. You will have breakfast in the other hotel next door and it’s delicious. Also you can use territory of other hotel — there are really nice lounge zone, pool and sea-view. We enjoyed. Only one thing was disturbing — if you want to sleep with open windows it can be really noisy. Because of the buses (going from early morning) and loud people (who were singing and screaming drunk). But if you close the window everything is perfect. Thanks"

"The hotel is old and the location is very good. We live in the tower and we can see the sunset at night and the sun is shining in the morning. The breakfast room is very good. We ate outside and loved it. There are many varieties of breakfast, and the quality is good. The swimming pool has an outdoor swimming pool, so the bold can swim directly in the sea."

"Overall great stay and we'll likely be back next time we visit Madeira. Great location close to lots of restaurants and bars, and bus stops. It's not too far to walk to the city center and there's lots to see on the way there, too. The rooms were clean, shampoo etc. was provided and there were even extra blankets which we were very grateful for as it can be chilly at night. What we did not enjoy that much was the breakfast, as both restaurants serve about the same food and it was the same every morning. The taste was ok but we probably won't add breakfast the next time we stay, or not for all days. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, however, the hotel appeared to be understaffed, meaning we'd have to wait quite a bit to receive service, e.g., at the reception, and staff seemed stressed at times."
