Pet friendly Hotels in Fenghuang

Had someone received us at the main plaza after we took the taxi from train station. The inn was within a short walking distance which was great. Our room was at the top floor (stairs but very manageable) and street facing so we could watch the people passing by below which was fun…very clean and comfortable beds. Had a good night rest. We enjoyed staying at least one night to explore the ancient town. A pity the inn doesn’t have laundry set up for guest use but the owner was kind to let us use their washing machine, much appreciated.

My stay was amazing, the hotel is outstanding . The staffs are very helpful. I highly recommend this hotel especially if you don’t speak Chinese or you are new to Chinese culture, the staffs can help you with everything . They texted me me in advance , organized a car to pick me up from the train station , helped me navigate through the city , carried my luggage upstairs and downstairs and all the way to the taxi . Very friendly atmosphere , very nice people and these details made my trip enjoyable, especially if you are a solo traveler or someone with heavy luggage these things matter a lot . The location was so good , it’s not far from the city center just 10 min walk but it’s very quite at night and in the morning if you want to relax after a hectic day . The room is clean , the bedsheets are very clean and everything is tidy , they even have an iron , they have big mirrors and everything you need . The breakfast was delicious. I had it in the terrace with a beautiful view , they also helped me order dinner , the tofu is a must . Highly recommend this place , it’s close to the main road where taxi usually drops off and picks up , probably 4 min walking and also very close to the main attractions .

Pros- Great location by the river, beautiful and close walking distance to the food shops, famous bridges and the red lady singing on the boat (5-10mins). Clean warm room. Bit of scuff marks and stuff on the walls and wooden furnitures but overall charming, nice and modern and no like stinky smells from the river/mosquitoes/cigarettes etc. Warm showers and has all the standard amenities (hairdryer, soap shampoo, shaver etc). The manager is super friendly and hospitable even though she doesn’t speak English she really tries her best to help. Cons- noisy bars and karaoke until 11pm, tour groups in the morning start like at 7am below the balcony (maybe one or two when I was there 2 days) and 9am construction work starts. The free tour is sadly in Chinese only, and the free outfit doesn’t include photos or makeup, it is about 199 yuan for that but if you don’t want photos or makeup it’s free. Don’t think they wash the outfits super often either. Laundry is apparently not a proper one and you have to hand wash. No lifts if you have a lot of luggage.

Traveled in December, it was nice for us as there wasn’t a lot of people. Really easy to communicate with them through Wechat. They got us a car for train station pick up and drop off. Upon arriving, someone came out to get us. It’s a flight of stairs down first (they offer to help with luggage) but would say to pack light because we were struggling. It’s a couple minutes walk to the place, I believe they have two, so depends which one they bring you to? We got the connecting rooms via balcony. It was nice because it was two rooms and each room had its own bathroom. We were able to see the water bridge (I believe) right outside the balcony which was nice. Good thing we were just on the first floor so with our luggages, stairs wasn’t too bad. Since it was not peak season, even with the bar nearby, it was not too loud for us at night. There’s some restaurants and photoshoot shops nearby as well. We did the photoshoot store right next to this stay and it was just ok for reference, feel like you can get cheaper elsewhere. Everything was pretty clean but there were some issues. Since it was December, it was cold. And when we first arrived, there was no hot water (just all freezing cold water). They said water heater was just cleaned or something when I asked. They said hot water should be back at night but our water when we showered wasn’t too promising. And then the heater was barely warming up the room so we were basically freezing. We took out all our jackets and all and we were still cold. Our room door to the balcony window was also broken which I was frustrated at first since it was cold, no hot water, heater not working, cold air blowing in. They eventually fixed it and I did appreciate the lady giving us portable heaters for the room to use. Overall, I think it’s not a bad place.

The hotel is located on the side of the river, just in front of the tower, which is one of the main sights in Fenghuang. It's close to everything, and very convenient for sightseeing. The downside of being just in the center of everything, is that the river facing rooms are noisy. There's a bar with live music just downside, and a lot of people passing by. But music stops around 11:30pm, so it's not too bad (they have plenty of ear plugs at the reception if needed). And the view from the balcony is great. The room has all the modern amenities (which I was not expecting in an old town, but was very welcome) and is clean. But the best part is the staff, who were super nice and helpful too. They have great advice for visits, can help with all the tickets and bookings needed, efficient, and with good recommendations. Warmly recommended.

Hotel is located by Nanhua bridge. It is easy to find, just 300 metre from main road. The lady is very helpful and staffs are helpful. Bed and pillows are comfy. Aircondition is quiet and good temperature. Hotel provided slipper, shoes, hairdryer, amenities. At night you can near the noise from restarants and early morning, you can hear a voice from tour group. Overall, worth to pay.

Very good, clean and sanitary. The front desk guy was very enthusiastic and the housekeeper gave us a detailed guide to the ancient city, which was very convenient. The hotel is right in the scenic area, and it is very convenient to eat, drink and have fun. I will recommend it to my friends when I go back.

We organised a family trip to Fenghuang not knowing what to expect on the stays. Qianxun Yunjing Zen River Hotel surprised us. We initially booked a family suite room, but after seeing the big heavy luggages we are carrying, the owner upgraded our room to have easier access. Room was beautiful and clean. Design was minimalistic and classy. Staff was also kind and helpful, was able to communicate with them using translator app as our mandarin is not the best. We were picked up from fenghuang gucheng train station and ride was smooth and quick. Not to mention the amazing view at the front located in the heart of Fenghuang, I will book this hotel again when I come back.

The staff were great at this hotel! They were waiting for us at the taxi drop off point, and helped carry our heavy luggage. They were so friendly and helpful, giving advice for the local area, offering hot milk in the evening and organising our taxi on departure. The hotel room was also great! The room was spacious, thanks to a free upgrade. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were fantastic! The balcony view was amazing. The location is a little further from the main area, but it is a nice stroll to get there after always eating too much. Thanks so much for a great stay, would recommend and stay again .

The room is very clean. The boss is very nice. He came out to pick us up and helped with the suitcases. There are disposable bath towels in the room. The decoration is also good. There is a large projection screen, and you can watch member movies. The boss also gave a small gift when you left. There is a food city downstairs. I strongly recommend people who go to the ancient city to stay in this hotel. It's great👍
