We had a wonderful stay at Phoenix Dayin Qianfu Homestay and can highly recommend it. The rooms are beautifully designed, modern, and furnished with great attention to detail. You can really feel the care and thought that has gone into every aspect of the hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The owner was also incredibly kind and hospitable, even inviting us to join him for tea, which made our experience feel very personal and memorable. What we especially appreciated was how helpful everyone was. The team assisted us with purchasing tickets for local attractions and arranging a boat tour, making our trip much easier and more enjoyable. Thank you for making our stay so special. We would happily stay here again and recommend this hotel without hesitation.

This hotel is right next to the Maglev train station, making transportation incredibly convenient. It's just a few minutes' walk to the ancient city and the scenic area's center. The butler service was exceptional; they answered all our questions thoroughly and even helped us with our luggage. They also gave us a parting gift. Our room was spacious and clean, and our river view king room offered a great view of the Tuojiang River. It was very quiet at night, ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. While the breakfast selection wasn't vast, the rice noodles were delicious and had a great chewy texture. I highly recommend this guesthouse.

This B&B is located downstream from the scenic area, so it's quiet and peaceful, allowing you to really experience local life. It's also a nice stroll back to the B&B after seeing the night views. The value for money is excellent; if you're too tired to walk, a taxi ride is a bargain at just 8 yuan. Being downstream from the scenic area actually has an advantage: it's close to residential areas, so the breakfast spots and restaurants nearby aren't just geared towards tourists. We asked the B&B owner for recommendations and he suggested a restaurant just a few minutes away that we ended up eating at twice – definitely recommend it. Don't waste time searching on social media; just ask the owner where they usually eat!

We stayed at this hotel with the 'unlimited hot spring access' package, perfect for a family trip. Even in the middle of summer, the hot springs weren't too hot. Facilities: The hotel is very new, rooms are spacious, and soundproofing is excellent, making it very quiet. Cleanliness: Spotless. Environment: The hotel is nestled on a mountain, so the air is fresh. There's a convenient path behind the hotel that leads directly into the scenic area. The uphill walk was quite a workout though, really tested my cardio! Early in the morning, I went for a run in the ancient town alone, and it was absolutely beautiful! Service: The service was the highlight. The front desk staff gave us lots of complimentary drinks. Breakfast was also very elaborate. We had kids with us who weren't eating well, so the hotel even packed some small pastries for us to take away.

To summarize: Overall, I wouldn't recommend it. It's definitely one of the worse Wyndham hotels I've stayed at. Location: The location is decent. It's downstream from the Tuojiang River, about 500-600 meters' walk to the downstream entrance of Fenghuang Ancient City. Walking from the downstream to the upstream part of the ancient city is about 2 kilometers. Service: It was okay. Year Opened: Trip.com states it opened in 2025, but the hotel facilities are actually very old; it's clearly not a hotel that's only been open for a year. It's likely Wyndham acquired it or became a management partner in 2025 and started operating under the Wyndham brand. Its predecessor was probably a hotel called something like 'Huajiang Resort Hotel' (the old sign at the entrance still hasn't been removed). Cleanliness: Very unsatisfactory. As soon as I walked in, it didn't feel bright and clean. There were paper scraps on the carpet that hadn't been vacuumed, and the shower area had mold stains all over. Breakfast: In a word, 'terrible.' There was very little variety, even the rice noodles were unappetizing. And surprisingly, they still have those 1980s-style large round tables where 10 people share a table for breakfast. There were only a few small round tables available. After checking out, the concierge messaged me on WeChat saying the hotel was running a promotion: if I left a 5-star review on Trip.com (it *had* to be 5 stars, 4.9 counted as a bad review) and sent a screenshot, I'd get a 48 yuan red packet. Ha, no wonder a hotel with such conditions and facilities has so many good reviews.

The room is clean and tidy, the environment is quiet and comfortable, and the service is thoughtful and attentive. Tucked away in a quiet spot, yet super close to the ancient city. The owner was incredibly welcoming, even upgraded our room and included breakfast! The noodles the breakfast lady made were really good too. They had the AC on for us before we arrived, which was a lifesaver for us northerners who get cold easily, and it worked perfectly. The facilities were complete, and the bedding was super comfy. The service was absolutely impeccable!

Right outside the hotel, there were also so many local restaurants with really delicious food, which made it even better. Our balcony view honestly felt like something out of a movie right by the river with performances happening and lots of cute little shops around. We felt really welcomed the whole time and would definitely stay here again!

The facilities in the room are very average, but it is located in a small scenic area within the scenic area, which saves the 50 yuan entrance fee per person. The night view from there is very beautiful at night. It is recommended not to bring a suitcase, but just pack some clothes and necessities, because the room is on the mountain and it is inconvenient to carry too many things.

Downstairs, there's a cozy bar that offers a unique 'day coffee, night drinks' experience, which I absolutely loved. You can leisurely sip coffee during the day and unwind with a drink in the evening, all while enjoying the river view – it's incredibly relaxing. The service was warm, attentive, and incredibly thorough, taking care of every little detail. It’s a one-stop-shop for dining, accommodation, and entertainment, offering great value for money. Staying here for my trip to Fenghuang was perfect, and I'll definitely choose this place again if I come back!
