Guest UserWe had a wonderful stay at Phoenix Dayin Qianfu Homestay and can highly recommend it.
The rooms are beautifully designed, modern, and furnished with great attention to detail. You can really feel the care and thought that has gone into every aspect of the hotel.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The owner was also incredibly kind and hospitable, even inviting us to join him for tea, which made our experience feel very personal and memorable.
What we especially appreciated was how helpful everyone was. The team assisted us with purchasing tickets for local attractions and arranging a boat tour, making our trip much easier and more enjoyable.
Thank you for making our stay so special. We would happily stay here again and recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Seven Fen Homestay, while rated 'seven,' truly deserves a 'ten' for service, ambiance, and facilities. The location is excellent too; just cross a small bridge opposite the hotel, stroll along the Tuojiang River for a bit, and you're in the ancient town. We had a driver pick us up from the high-speed rail station, and upon arrival, a butler helped with our luggage and provided recommendations for exploring the ancient town. Fresh fruit was even delivered to our room. It truly felt like a home away from home. I rarely write reviews on Ctrip, but this time, I genuinely want to give Seven Fen Homestay a five-star rating – it's absolutely worth it!

Guest UserThis B&B is located downstream from the scenic area, so it's quiet and peaceful, allowing you to really experience local life. It's also a nice stroll back to the B&B after seeing the night views. The value for money is excellent; if you're too tired to walk, a taxi ride is a bargain at just 8 yuan. Being downstream from the scenic area actually has an advantage: it's close to residential areas, so the breakfast spots and restaurants nearby aren't just geared towards tourists. We asked the B&B owner for recommendations and he suggested a restaurant just a few minutes away that we ended up eating at twice – definitely recommend it. Don't waste time searching on social media; just ask the owner where they usually eat!

flanoixThis is the most worthwhile treasure hotel to stay at when visiting Fenghuang, far better than those five-star hotels or boutique B&Bs along the Tuojiang River.
Room: We arrived very late, and the hotel upgraded our room type. The room was very comfortable, and the bedding met the usual standards of a luxury five-star hotel.
Environment: Located on a hill downstream of the ancient town, a private path leads directly to the riverside, passing by Mr. Shen Congwen's tomb. It's a quiet oasis amidst the bustling ancient town. In the morning, the downstream section of the Tuojiang River has few tourists, allowing you to enjoy the Crescent Moon Bridge scenery exclusively. By avoiding the noisy upstream area, you can truly appreciate the beauty of Fenghuang.
Hot Springs: They have genuine hot springs sourced from 1800 meters underground. Soaking in them leaves your skin silky smooth. After exploring the ancient town, a hot spring bath washes away all fatigue, leading to a comfortable night's sleep.
Parking: EV-friendly, with Tesla and Li Auto supercharging stations.
This was my return to Fenghuang after twenty years. I initially planned to book a boutique B&B in town or a five-star hotel along the river, but ultimately chose Wyndham. Throughout our stay, my partner and I kept exclaiming that choosing to stay here was the best decision.

BiewenwoshishuiThis hotel boasts ample parking space with EV charging stations, which is a huge plus for self-driving travelers. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the bedding is soft and dry, making for a very comfortable stay. The front desk staff and concierge were exceptionally friendly and thoughtful, offering to help with our luggage. Seeing that we had a child, they even thoughtfully upgraded our room to one with two king-size beds, which was wonderfully spacious and comfortable for our family.
The complimentary breakfast offered a wide variety of options and tasted great. The hotel's location is unbeatable, right next to the ancient city scenic area. A short walk through a small alley takes you directly to the riverside promenade, making exploring the ancient city incredibly convenient. After a tiring day of sightseeing, we also enjoyed the complimentary herbal foot bath provided by the hotel, which really helped us unwind. Overall, the value for money is excellent. This is our top choice for travel, and I wholeheartedly recommend it!

We had such a great stay here! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and had such a beautiful view. The staff were incredibly sweet and kind, and always ready to help us with anything we needed. Even with the language barrier, they made everything easy and were always available when we had questions.
The location is also super convenient, especially being close to the railway station, and they even helped us get taxis which made things so much smoother. Right outside the hotel, there were also so many local restaurants with really delicious food, which made it even better.
Our balcony view honestly felt like something out of a movie right by the river with performances happening and lots of cute little shops around. We felt really welcomed the whole time and would definitely stay here again!

Tucked away in a quiet spot, yet super close to the ancient city. The owner was incredibly welcoming, even upgraded our room and included breakfast! The noodles the breakfast lady made were really good too. They had the AC on for us before we arrived, which was a lifesaver for us northerners who get cold easily, and it worked perfectly. The facilities were complete, and the bedding was super comfy. The service was absolutely impeccable!

Guest UserPros:
- nice room
- clean
- staff helped me carry my backpack to room and took me to where taxi pickup point was
- location is centre to everything
- nice views
Cons:
- at the top of a BIG hill (it says elevator is provided but it only brings you to the start of what are a VERY long climb of stairs to your room)
- nowhere did it say the room would only be accessible via stairs (saying they have an elevator is very misleading), only because I read a review which mentioned there were stairs did I make a special request to have my bags kept at reception as I wouldn’t be able to bring them to my room. Even though I booked and made my request in advance (via Trip.com’s process when booking), they did not even read it so I had to deal with this problem once I arrived.
- wiring in the shower (not sure if it’s save or not, but made me uncomfortable)
- due to my tier level with Trip.com I was told I would get; late check out, room upgrade and free breakfast. When they checked me in and I asked about breakfast they told me that I didn’t have it included. After showing them I did, only then did they actually look at my booking - terrible. I then asked about the room upgrade as the hotel was not fully booked and they said that this was the room upgrade… it was not, this was the room I booked (which is fine, I just don’t appreciate being lied to when you clearly didn’t look at my booking).
Overall thoughts:
- if you only have one small bag that you can carry with ease, then it’s great
- if you have large/multiple/heavy luggage don’t book here! You can get a day ticket to walk up the hill (where the hotel rooms are) for pictures of the view
- Trip.com please get this hotel to actually look at the bookings made and to honour special requests and tier privileges where possible

Guest UserThe entire experience here truly shows the owner's thoughtful dedication. The room was clean and tidy, and the location is absolutely fantastic, right by the river. Being centrally located, it's super convenient for sightseeing. They offer a diverse breakfast in the morning, and in the afternoon, you can enjoy a lovely high tea by the riverside, just sitting and taking in the view. Downstairs, there's a cozy bar that offers a unique 'day coffee, night drinks' experience, which I absolutely loved. You can leisurely sip coffee during the day and unwind with a drink in the evening, all while enjoying the river view – it's incredibly relaxing. The service was warm, attentive, and incredibly thorough, taking care of every little detail. It’s a one-stop-shop for dining, accommodation, and entertainment, offering great value for money. Staying here for my trip to Fenghuang was perfect, and I'll definitely choose this place again if I come back!
