"Cozy and nice hotel.
We arrived on shuttle bus (7 yuan per person) from train station and the bus stop was 5 min walking from hotel. On the next day transfer was for free, managed by hotel.
Check in was smooth and lady advised what to see around. Hotel is 15 min walking from the river, where all the noise and lights were concentrated.
Room was clean and spacious for 2. It seems hotel was recently renovated, so i haven't noticed any smells. We had mountain view that was quite nice and most important very silent.
We couldn't wake up for breakfast, so we had a good rest and continued our trip."

"The owner is very nice and helpful. There are 14 people in our group and the owner and his team arranged 3 cars to pick us up at the train station and help carry our luggages to our room in the second floor. They also upgraded some of our rooms to the better ones. The river view from the room is very nice. The location is out of the busy area which took approx. 15-20 minutes walk to the main area. I think the location is fine for non-party group like us. Really recommended this hotel for your visit in Fenghuang town."

The gentleman arranged a taxi back to Fenhuangzheng train station for 40.00 yuan, which from the station the taxi drivers tried to charge us 250 yuan, be careful! If you prefer you can just take a bus from the station to town and vice versa for 7.00 yuan which is what we took to travel to town!
We loved everything about our stay, from the hotel and the ancient town which is unforgettable!
I would definitely stay again at this hotel."

"The homestay was easy to find, near the south city gate, within the scenic area. Our room had a balcony with an excellent view of the ancient city. The room was spacious. It was cold when we visited, so we had the heating on. No complaints. We also visited the panda zoo and qiliang caves which I highly recommend. Very easy to get taxi/Didi in this area."

"Firstly, we booked a street side room, but I saw the room with a balcony over the river and it is well-worth the upgrade!! Highly recommend splurging for the river view. The owner/manager was great, spoke English, and was very helpful. He met us where the taxi dropped us and assisted with carrying our luggage. He did the same when we left, which was much appreciated. If you book pretty much any of the hotels along the river, you will need to walk a bit and it might be a bit difficult. One thing to be mindful of is that there are a lot of mosquitoes in the vicinity. That’s just part of the experience being along the river. The hotel provides a plug in device for mosquitoes and once you turn on the a/c, the mosquitoes tend to go away. Still, you may want to bring some bug spray. There were a couple other types of bugs around, but overall not too unpleasant. Again, nothing much any of the river-side inns can do about it. We stayed for just one night so even though the room is small, we managed ok. Overall, we highly recommend this inn, but go for the riverside view with balcony. It’s beautiful and you will be able to take very cute photos there."

"Great service from the receptionist who assisted us. He explained how everything works and gave us a run down on the activities and how to visit the place. We were even given a room upgrade as it was the low season for them. The room is clean and beds were comfortable. Air conditioning was great. Room has balcony overlooking the river and location is good. It's not too far from the centre so an easy walk but not too near that it would be noisy - just right. Great value for money. Thank you for a nice comfortable stay."

"The room is brand new, especially the quilt and bedding, which are exceptionally clean and odor-free. The location is also great, with a balcony offering a stunning river view, directly opposite the popular bridge. It's perfect for a drink with friends and family. The owner is also incredibly helpful and friendly, making this a truly great B&B for a vacation. I'm not a babysitter.

"This homestay was a bit off the road and 2 large sets of stairs to the front entrance. The staff was wonderful, waiting for us at the street to help with our luggage.
With the use of my daughters translator we were able to book the evening boat tour on the river with the manager. We expected a better view from our room thinking the supplied photo on the room description would be our view. Our mistake. I guess that is the 3rd floor view. The room was really nice, clean and comfortably accommodated 3 adults. The location was great right by the river and one bridge to cross the river.
There was a mix up the following morning with our transfer to the train station but they were able to arrange new transportation and we managed to just make our train. Very little if no English is spoken so a translator app is a must."

"The view from the room is absolutely stunning — right next to the bridge, with a perfect view of it! The location is also great, with shops and restaurants nearby.
It took us a little while to find the hotel at first, so here’s a tip: when you’re in front of the pedestrian street, switch to Google Maps (not Amap) to guide you. You’ll need to walk down a short staircase (nothing difficult compared to other hotels), then follow the small alleyways. It’s not complicated at all — just make sure you’re using Google Maps, because with Amap we couldn’t find it.
The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Especially the person at the reception — we were running late for our train and he truly did everything he could to help us get there on time.
We really appreciated the hospitality and would definitely stay here again!"

Despite this, it is very quiet at night—the soundproof windows ensure complete silence. The mattress and pillows are extremely comfortable, and the smart toilet with heating is a great touch. A particularly thoughtful detail is the provision of disposable toilet seat covers and bath towels, which make the stay feel extra hygienic. The air conditioning is also very comfortable and warm.
The owner arrived early to meet us at the drop-off point, and his wife carefully explained the ancient town’s map—not just pointing in a general direction but providing a thorough and detailed explanation, which was a big plus. The couple is so kind, gentle, and polite. Whenever we had any questions, the owner responded promptly. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

HHung MingThe young boss' personal touch & his enthusiasm to make sure our stay is pleasant made all the difference. Upon arrival at the HSR train station, we were promptly picked up by the hotel assigned driver. This was arranged about 30 minutes before our arrival with a simple call to the hotel. Upon arrival, we were met by the boss at the drop-off point. He warmly welcomed us & even helped with our luggage. He then showed us the entire map of the place on interest & advise us how to maximise our stay. He also suggested the routes that we should take. Overall, it has been an excellent experience.

Breakfast is made immediately in the kitchen, the soy milk is delicious~~ The noodles are also delicious~ The children finish a big bowl of noodles every morning! There is also Tremella soup in the evening~ The first night the lady in the store waited for us until very late, so cold to pick us up in the parking lot, really thank you~ It was an experience beyond expectations~ Recommended!

From the moment we checked in until we checked out, the service was incredibly thoughtful and heartwarming. The staff were super responsive, instantly addressing any needs. Their attitude was consistently kind and gentle, showing great patience when helping with luggage and recommending local sights. They were genuinely friendly and approachable, making us feel completely at ease.
The guesthouse's location is absolutely unbeatable! It's incredibly convenient for both exploring attractions and grabbing a meal, with everything just a few minutes' walk away. This saved us a lot of travel time, making our outings incredibly efficient.
And finally, the room! It was impeccably clean. The amenities were brand new and worked perfectly, and the bedding was so comfortable, I never wanted to leave it. The soundproofing was excellent too, ensuring a quiet night and a truly restful sleep.
Service, location, and rooms were all outstanding – truly flawless. I will absolutely choose to stay here again on my next visit; you simply can't go wrong with this place!

NNatalieThe hotel is at an excellent location if you want to stay within the city but at the quieter end. The room was much older than the photos shown on the website and it's not the cleanest. We have initially booked the top floor with an outdoor bathtub, unfortunately there were a big young group staying on our floor and made a lot of noises in the evening, so we ended up moving to the 2nd floor (twin bed with a balcony room type) which was a lot better and look slightly newer.
Though the communication was not the most straight forward, but the staffs were helpful and helped us to call taxis to/from the high speed railway (RMB40). The room came with 1 x free entrance to the local Miao Village but the catch is that you'll need to book a car to get there. We were kind of interested and didn't mind paying the extra cost to get there (which I guess would be on a higher end), but the departure time that was offered to us was not flexible (even though in theory it's a private driver that we will hire for 3-4 hours) and so we didn't go.

GGuest UserOur hotel stay was in a suite with a spacious balcony offering a stunning view of Hong Bridge (虹桥, Hóngqiáo) in Fenghuang. At night, the bridge was beautifully illuminated, creating a breathtaking scene. The hotel owner, Ah Ming, provided excellent service, always taking great care of us. He helped carry our luggage and even offered a shuttle service to and from the train station.
The heating system, including the room heater, worked perfectly, ensuring a warm and comfortable stay. Ah Ming was incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to assist and provide useful information throughout our stay. This hotel truly offers one of the most spectacular views—an absolutely unforgettable experience!

Llavender🛌This B&B is perfectly situated by the Tuojiang River. It's across the river from the ancient city's north gate, the busiest stretch of the river, and is densely populated with businesses.
🛌The B&B has good facilities, and the balcony offers a stunning view. The hostess is also very welcoming, offering directions with a map. The service was excellent.
🛌The night view of the Tuojiang River is stunning. If you don't want to crowd, you can still enjoy the view while sipping tea from your room's balcony.
🛌The entire ancient city is like a city that never sleeps, and it doesn't usually quiet down until after midnight, when it enters sleep mode.

Mmakia11It’s a wonderful place to stay. The room is spotless and beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. The bed was very comfortable, and the heating worked perfectly in cold weather. The location is also excellent.
The only downside was the bathtub area, which looked different from the pictures. In reality, it has a half-open window instead of a full-size one, so in winter, cold air comes in, making it too cold to take a bath. But in spring or summer, it must be a great experience!
All in all, we had a wonderful, cozy stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!

CcooltravellerThe hotel is located at the bank of Tuo Jiang river, about 100 m from Hongqiao bridge. In the case confusing about the direction, just call the hotel after alight from the car/taxi on the Hongqiao bridge and they would be happily to pick you up. We didn't have any problem to find the hotel ourselves since we are quite familiar using Baidu Map and the hotel location quite precise on Baidu Map.
Just like any other hotels with Diaojiaolou (Hanging Building) style in Fenghuang Ancient City, the hotel lobby is very small since the use of space is very important for them. However, the room that we stayed was quite spacious and clean with the balcony facing Tuo Jiang river. The owner was very generous to upgrade our room to Double King Bed (2 beds of size 180x200cm. The beds are comfy. The room comes with Chinese Style Tea Making Set on the balcony so we can relax enjoying the view of the river while sipping cups of tea. The waterflow at the shower was strong and the hot water worked well.
The owner was very friendly and attentive. She gave us the late checkout since our train leaving Fenghuang was late in the afternoon. Very recommended to stay here.

SSkySevenGreat location, river view, beautiful at night. The downside is too noisy from people walking on the ground floor, surrounding bar. Suggest to sealed the window to prevent the noise. Shower is broken hence water not only came out from the faucet its also from the fuse, it should be fixed. Lao ban niang so friendly and they gave 1 free Miao jia dress so you can wear it and take a photo, additional charge for the headband and makeup. Overall is quite good stay as its only for a night
