MM5764****The owner, a professional designer, was involved in the design and construction of several iconic buildings in the ancient city. This expertise truly shines through in his guesthouse's design – the quality and aesthetics are absolutely impeccable, simply beautiful. Even the main entrance gate itself is over 300 years old. The service was equally impressive. The owner personally handled our pick-up and drop-off, and during the ride, he shared captivating stories about Xiangxi's rich history. This experience significantly deepened our appreciation for this ancient city, renowned for its many influential historical figures.

Breakfast is made immediately in the kitchen, the soy milk is delicious~~ The noodles are also delicious~ The children finish a big bowl of noodles every morning! There is also Tremella soup in the evening~ The first night the lady in the store waited for us until very late, so cold to pick us up in the parking lot, really thank you~ It was an experience beyond expectations~ Recommended!

GGuest UserThis was our second visit. The host was absolutely perfect, helping us get everything perfectly organized. The only thing was, on our first day, we forgot to ask the host for dinner recommendations, so we just picked a Hunan restaurant that seemed busy. Big mistake! Everyone, steer clear! A dish that would cost 38 elsewhere was 138 there. We thought it would be delicious because it was so crowded, but even the chicken tasted off. I suspect all those people were paid shills.
The next day, the 'Whole-Ox Feast' recommended by the host is truly worth recommending – it's incredibly good value for money. Best of all, we got 8 dishes for less than 200 yuan, and every single one was generously portioned and delicious. Even the locals eat there! So, if you're coming to visit, stay with this host and have them recommend the 'Whole-Ox Feast'. Make sure to ask them to book it for you in advance, or you might not get a table. I genuinely recommend it.

XXiaoleyuanThe B&B is near Wuqiao and easy to find. You can take a taxi to Wuqiao and cross the Wuqiao directly after getting off the taxi. It is not far from the side. The room is very artistically decorated. There is a balcony outside where you can sit and enjoy the scenery. The sliding door of the balcony is very soundproof. After closing it, you can hardly hear the noise outside and have a quiet sleep. The bed is very comfortable, the toilet is electric, and it is clean and tidy. The water in the water heater is not too hot, and everything else is perfect.

We arrived on shuttle bus (7 yuan per person) from train station and the bus stop was 5 min walking from hotel. On the next day transfer was for free, managed by hotel.
Check in was smooth and lady advised what to see around. Hotel is 15 min walking from the river, where all the noise and lights were concentrated.
Room was clean and spacious for 2. It seems hotel was recently renovated, so i haven't noticed any smells. We had mountain view that was quite nice and most important very silent.
We couldn't wake up for breakfast, so we had a good rest and continued our trip.

From the moment I arrived, the experience was seamless and kind. The manager had even shared directions with my taxi driver to help me find the hotel more easily, and someone came to pick me up right at the entrance of the city — such a thoughtful touch!
The hotel is well located, and my room was spacious — a little worn, but very comfortable with a nice view.
What truly made the difference was the manager’s exceptional kindness. He helped me plan my itinerary, assisted me in booking my bus ticket, and even drove me to the station himself. He waited with me until the bus arrived — such generosity is rare and truly appreciated.
A heartfelt thank you! I highly recommend this place for its comfort and genuine hospitality.

GGuest UserVery good Homestay it’s small hotel but good location that near main square, hotel service very good like 5 stars hotel the lady who is everything as reception, cleaner and maybe manger help me a lot before I go there she guided me how go to home stay that very good and clear also when I arrived she guided me how walk around town and river, where is shortcut go there and where can I find stall or restaurant. Also once I need her help to find supermarket she responded immediately and clear. Recommend everyone who finding accommodation in Fenghuang

CChoycpsService was great! The host offered free transfers from the train station and they helped with our luggage as cars are not allowed to be driven into the hotel area. Location is great as it is walking distance to eateries and shopping area.
The room has a really nice view of the entire ancient city and it is very clean. The host was very friendly and recommended places for us to go to.

GGuest UserI had an extra day to spend in my China trip and decided to take a chance and visit Phoenix ancient town for a day. I heard it was better at night so I decided to spend the night and booked the top floor of this stay for the view, and it did not disappoint - it was wonderful! A direct view to the center tower and bridge in town! Service was helpful and gave me a map of the area and showed me where to walk - also helped me to arrange a taxi for the morning. Be prepared there are some steps leading up to the lobby. And, Phoenix ancient town is very small so DiDi may not work there. If coming from afar, get a taxi directly from the train station.

Mmakia11It’s a wonderful place to stay. The room is spotless and beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. The bed was very comfortable, and the heating worked perfectly in cold weather. The location is also excellent.
The only downside was the bathtub area, which looked different from the pictures. In reality, it has a half-open window instead of a full-size one, so in winter, cold air comes in, making it too cold to take a bath. But in spring or summer, it must be a great experience!
All in all, we had a wonderful, cozy stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!
