"The hotel is in the city center, within walking distance to the monastery, city hall, there are supermarkets and restaurants nearby, life is very convenient. Parking is free in the public underground parking lot not far away, very good. The breakfast tastes good."
"Hotel Astoria embodies 1920 chic French decor. Much of that fashion remains in tact, but in fairness, also reflects its age. The hotel's location right on the river provides easy access to most of Coimbra. However, the city is essentialy a giant hill, so a 10 mins walk along a steep slope may be a significant inconvenience to many. The staff is extremly friendly and works hard to provide a comfortable stay. There is no swimming pool and guests may want to bring some additional amendities (body lotion). Those may have been available, I never bother asking. Wifi is only available in public areas. Easy to check emails but not great for working in the room. Will definitely consider another stay if the price is competitive to other hotels."
"Located in the centre of Coimbra, near the river and all the main tourist attractions of the city. The room was very comfortable and comfortable (by saying something the coats are of viscolatex are very hard, high) . The shower and toilet recreates the Joanina Library very original and comfortable with crystal mampares.
The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. We were kept in the baggage until afternoon without cost."

"This was a great little studio in the heart of Coimbra. The kitchen was awkwardly small, but it still did the trick. It was a little difficult to check-in, as I wasn’t initially sent the email with the access codes. But it was just a slight inconvenience and was rectified quickly."

MMatías RubioloSolar Antigo is a must-visit in Coimbra for anyone seeking a top-notch experience. We stayed in a room with a jacuzzi and a stunning view of the city, which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was my wife’s birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and celebrated. They even included a small cake with a candle for the in-room breakfast—such a thoughtful touch! The welcome sparkling wine and cake were also a delightful surprise. Their exceptional attention to detail and outstanding customer service truly set them apart. Highly recommended for an unforgettable stay!
GGuest UserGood place. nice, handsome people. I needed to postpone the check out 1h and it was possible. The room smells huid. The walls with humidity. It was difficult to breathe in the room. The morning when I was waking, the walls and windows filled with water/humidity.
I work in Health. I know this is a very serious condition for the respiratory health of those who stay there. One night I had to sleep with the openest window to smell the humidity. I think they were in the room, and I think they were in the room, and I was not informed that they would come in without my knowledge.
BBIAOThis is a literary hotel, a former Portuguese prince built a residence for his lover. Later, the lover was dark*, and the prince changed the name of the residence to Tears Manor. The prince, in order to revenge, did not hesitate to meet the old king in the army. Finally the prince became king himself, she dug out her lover from the ground and held the wedding. The zombie bride cartoon is based on this. The hotel facilities are older, just look at history and learn a beautiful story.
JJiaselegedechenshubaoThere is only one bottle of water in the room and you have to buy the rest by yourself because I don’t know if the water from the faucet is edible. The other ones are pretty good.
GGuest UserGreat location, wallking distance to the main tourists street with all restaurants & shops. Across the street from Coimbra train station. (Not Coimbra B)
Beds are comfortable & the shower water pressure was amazing, their breakfast was great too, lots of fresh fruits, scrambled eggs, juice & all kinds if breads, pastries, coffee
etc. The young ladies at the reception were so kind & caring. The room, bed & bathroom were all spacious.
BBaris AtikerI have mixed feelings about my experience in this hotel, the reason is that it has an unusual concept with a design-oriented approach, which attracted a designer like me. As I checked in late and tired, the friendly staff offering me an ice cold beer was a nice start. The fact that the room was a windowless box made me a little uneasy at first, although I am not claustrophobic, but I was relieved by the good lighting and the rain shower. The hotel is really a must-experience and appeals more to young guests with its more affordable price compared to others. The only negative point was that it wasn't clean enough, the sheet metal on the bed and dust on the floor prevented the perfect experience.
GGuest UserBecause it is a small town, there is no problem anywhere, but it is within walking distance from the center, and there are supermarkets and cafes nearby. The guided room was a room on the 3rd floor, and it happened to be a building without an elevator, so I had a hard time carrying my luggage, but the lady at the reception helped me. I think the rooms are fairly large and clean. Breakfast is quite substantial at 5 euros and is recommended.
MMARIO ANDREHotel restaurant is very good. The breakfast had a decent variety specially taking into account the price per night.
The rooms are new but they are poorly insulated when it comes to noise, you can hear everything going on outside. If someone closes the door, you hear it like its your room.
DDeeDee427The rooms are spacious. A little dated but great value for price. Very clean, and comfortable bed.
Foyer very clean and professional. Nice breakfast layout.
Close by shops and tourist area.
GGuest UserNice inexpensive hotel. There is a kitchen with everything you need and a pretty large dining room. In the bathrooms everything worked. Everywhere is pretty clean. Now about minus. How often in Portugal the rooms are not warmed up. And if it's not hot on the street, then the room feels like in the cellar. Only two dop. blankets are provided for assistance. Staff on the respiratory is not always present. Usually only at the second half of the day. And the maid works only before lunch. If you have to change towels in the evening, you can't do it. The administrator has no access to them and you have to wait for the maid next morning. And more. Communicating with the hotel before settlement is quite difficult. They do not respond to messages in messengers. You only need to call, and if you don't speak freely Portuguese or English, it can be useless.
