"Staff were amazing!! Can’t thank them enough for guiding us along this trip. Sadly the room was not up to standard, Really disappointed with the bathroom, silverfish in the sink and bath, shower was unusable due to clogged trains, beds were clean. Room included iron and board alongside other little amenities. General hygiene of the hotel was great, downstairs was beautiful, although we didn’t eat/ drink from the bar and restaurant it did look very nice. View was beautiful but would’ve been nicer if the windows were clean and hairless."

The room was well-maintained, featuring a spacious and comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and well-equipped, adding to the overall comfort. "stayed at this hotel and used the spa many times before and have always had a much better experience, which is why I chose to return. Unfortunately, my stay on 27 May 2026 was extremely disappointing. When checking in, I was asked if I would like breakfast and was told it was very nice. Sadly, the breakfast was awful. The bacon was so hard it could barely be cut, the sausages were stone cold, and the rest of the cooked breakfast was dry and cold. I mentioned this to a waitress, who showed no concern, and when I raised it again at reception and asked for a refund, I was refused. I have attached a photo showing the quality of the breakfast. I was also disappointed to discover there was an additional charge to use the spa. I booked through Trip.com, and nowhere on my booking confirmation did it mention extra spa fees. When I queried this at reception and showed my booking details, I was simply told I should have checked the hotel’s website. I do not feel this is acceptable, as any additional charges should be clearly stated at the time of booking. What disappointed me most was the lack of customer service throughout my stay. My concerns about both the breakfast and the spa charges were dismissed rather than addressed, and staff showed very little understanding or willingness to help. This experience was completely different from the positive stays I have had at this hotel in the past. Sadly, based on this visit, I would not recommend the hotel and will think very carefully before returning. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve both the customer service and overall guest experience."

"Great location, parking is £10 with plenty spaces early afternoon. Room was huge, modern and clean. Shower was great despite being on the 5th floor. There’s everything and more you need in the room. Staff was helpful and friendly both at check-in and out. Breakfast was okay, not a huge selection but it gets you going for the day. I would be back without a doubt. Me and my doggie enjoyed our stay very much!☀️🐾"

"Came here with a friend and overall had a good experience. The staff were very friendly. However, the location was a bit hard to find. Even though it's right next to the train station, it's not very obvious. We couldn't find it at first. Later, when we ordered food delivery, the delivery person circled downstairs for over ten minutes trying to find it, and I eventually had to go out in the rain to meet him 😂 The room was quite small, like a renovated budget hotel, but it had all the necessary amenities. For the price, I was generally quite satisfied. Our window faced the train tracks, but it wasn't too noisy."

"This new hotel is very clean and perfect location except the door lock is not working properly.  It is not perfectly fit and the room except to pull harder to lock it.  Besides, the room has no telephone which causes inconvenience if you need help. I spent an hour to keep going down to look for help several times.  I suggest the hotel could leave a note of the front desk phone.number for the clients convenience 🙏🙏"

"Booked here as I’m having an exam at Cardiff in the early morning. Soundproof was AWFUL even though I asked for a quiet room. Even with earplugs I can hear people opening and closing the doors at 2 AM and later as people jumping (?) on the floor above. I guess I only managed to sleep 3-4 hours that night, before the exam that matters a lot to me. It was DREADFUL. I don’t understand why I was given a room just opposite to the fire door (and being sandwiched between other rooms) even when I asked a quiet room - probably because of my race? The room itself was small, without table and chairs, and without kettle. Window cannot be opened. The coffee machine in the lobby dispenses hot water for free, and staff members at reception were helpful in this case. Hygiene was fine but lime scale and grease were visible on the shower head."

"The room is fantastic. It is clean, large and tidy. Everything was prepared, such as a hair dryer, a water boiler and shampoo. The location is also great. The only sad point is that I had requested a high floor to watch the trains, but the mirror seems to have been stuck with some layers, which blocked the view. Apart from this, everything was good and awesome. I would definitely book again when I travel to Cardiff!🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿👍🏻"

"Good location not far from centre of Cardiff. Service was poor, receptionists seemed like they didn’t want to be working there and breakfast staff like their family had just died. That said the breakfast was good quality and the room was good. Needed some cobwebs removed and mould cleaned from bathroom"

"Amazing location that is right by the city centre. Staff were really friendly and we were made to feel super welcome all the way from arrival until we checked out. Room was clean, tidy and warm which was really nice in the colder weather. There wasn’t a huge amount of amenities but for a small hotel the amenities provided proved just enough. Overall super pleased and will definitely be returning for our next trip."
