Stayed one night. Not sure if because of renovation, the reception area wasn't very welcoming, pretty much self check-in set up but staffed too. Busy hotel, popular pool, gym, need to wait your turn for sauna & steam room but Impressed with facilities. Room service food was basic. The room definitely need updating and shower pressure not great. Overall fine though, would stay again.

The Angel Hotel was perfect for a short City Break. The staff were all great, friendly and professional. Check in and out was simple. The room was ideal, slightly dated but everything was spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable and the shower had a good powerful flow. We were only there for one night so the only other service I tried was the Bar. Again the service was first class. The Hotel has a central location just opposite the Castle. I would highly recommend this Hotel and I would definitely book again. Thank you.

Their waiters were easy-going, but they smelled a smell before walking to the corridor and entering the room. Fortunately, we lived in G/F because there was no elevator. Fortunately, the hot water in the bath was hot enough.

Wasn't great mostly due to the fact that you had Taxi drivers outside beeping horns all hours of the night.
People fighting and shouting outside the hotel.
As well as the Fire alarm going off at about 10:40pm.
I had to check out by 04:50 Am to catch a train and I didn't get to sleep until about 2:30am
This hotel is however right next to Cardiff Central Station so perfect for Travelling by train. Which is why I booked here.
After explaining my stay to reception I asked for a bottle of water for my travels and it was given to me complimentary which I really appreciated.
The hotel Staff were polite and welcoming, however and the room was quite clean. TV didn't work however which is a shame.

The room was generally clean and tidy although it was very noisy overnight due to its location, the beds were comfortable enough, an extra pillow would have been nice.
Location was great for my trip, but the condition of the bathroom was a bit on the shabby side. The bottom of the bathroom door frame and the actual door were rotting and had been for quite a while

GGlossimarThe hotel is located in the city centre, with a supermarket and Chain fast food restaurants nearby, including 24 hours McDonaldâs. The hotel design follows an industrial style, the rooms are spacious, and the bed is extremely comfortable. The restroom locate on the sixth floor has a very quiet and elegant atmosphere. The breakfast provided by the restaurant is delicious. The only downside is that the elevator was out of order during my stay.

UUlyaI had a conference in Glamorgan building Cardiff University. The hotel location is perfect. City centre is just around the corner and around 10 minutes to the conference venue and Cardiff castle. Definitely would recommend this hotel to any friend who would visit Cardiff

GGuest UserClayton was okay as far as hotels go, it was nice having a view of Cardiff from a top floor, staff were friendly too.
The Gym was tiny for the size of the hotel, the bedroom was a standard double room, the reviews said that the Clayton had been newly refurbished, but felt that the room was dated. Due to windows not being able to be open due to H&S, there was no fresh air, just air con. The room was mostly clean, few stains on the carpet, and floor felt dusty.
The hotel location was great, near the train station and in town, but for the cost, I was expecting something much better, as the night before we had a much cheaper hotel, and rooms came with kitchens, and were very modern - wish I had stayed at that one for the extra few nights.

MMatthew JamesThe hotel was one of the highlights of our visit to Cardiff. Unparalleled views over the Bay Area from our balcony. An easy stroll down to the docks and everything that goes on there and a cheap Uber to the city centre. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfy. Breakfast was lovely. In fact the only downside was the car parking fee. Really enjoyed this hotel.

Hotel was super clean and modern and felt safe as needed to use room door card to enter hotel, lifts and corridor doors.
Only a 5 minute walk to closest train station and 2 minutes from closest car park.

EEstherStayed for a night and the location was perfect,only 7min walk from Cardiff Central train station. Very easy to get to. At the first glance, the hotel seems very old compared to the photo but it was quite clean. Check in was easy and the receptionists were very friendly.. I love the 24 hr front desk service. Since it is in the city center, the surrounding is a bit crowded but the entrance is always locked and you have to ring the bell if you want to get inside which I felt safe. As a solo traveller in a new city, that's the main thing i wanted. the room is tiny but have all the things I need. i thought i would hear the voices from other rooms judging by the look of the walls but I didnt . Bed was comfy and slept well.. Would definitely stay there again. Cheers.

AAndrewMy wife and I came to celebrate our anniversary with a spa day and as it was my birthday we decided to book the room for the night. We were absolutely amazed. Not only were the staff absolutely awesome, but they give us an upgrade plus free breakfast and when we got to the room we were greeted with rose petals on the bed, Welsh cakes on a slate and cards for our anniversary and birthday. All in all they really went out of their way and it made our stay absolutely incredible. I canât thank the staff enough. We would highly recommend staying there

TThismorningiwokeupinI stayed here for a business trip for one week. The room seemed to be clean but it is so dark that you canât really tell if it is clean or not. Thatâs actually an issue - the lightening is bad. I couldnât really work in the room since it had only a yellow ambient lightening and not a normal main source of light. The bathroom can be slightly cold if you donât leave the door open so that warm air from the A/C can enter. It is shameful that they donât have a breakfast included, especially for long stays in the hotel which is not so cheap and out of the center⌠at least one small sandwich would make things better, but nop đđź. Another thing is that the area is not very nice. Unless you have to do something in that area, i donât recommend you to stay. I was even told by taxi drivers to not walk around alone after it gets dark. Before I knew that, I did take a walk and it really felt a bit unsafe. The staff was ok, I didnât have much contact with them. Only had an incident when I arrived - they couldnât find me in their system (it was booked under other name by mistake but I actually changed it a week before arrival so I donât know why they didnât have updated information). There is a small gym, but almost all machines, except one, are for cardio exercises. Almost no restaurants or shops in the area.

GGuest UserWe arrived at Cardiff Central by train, which is 15mins walking to this Premier Inn. It was very welcoming and staff friendly, rooms clean, with as much tea and coffee, which you took from the travellers store at the main entrance. My only gripe is as I have dietary requirements, They couldn't cater for them and had to make do with what was on offer. No gluten free food at night, Only what I would call general burgers, lasagne, steak battered fish and chips. Only veg on offer was peas. In this day and age Hotels need to cater for a variety of people's health conditions. Vegan/vegetarians are not Gluten free or Ibs sufferers or Celiacs. Which are complicated problems. It would be helpful if they offered something which could be adapted. .
