Our stay at Sofitel The Obelisk was exceptional! I have visited this hotel several times before and every time i will repeat my visit. The room was spacious and comfortable and the service was excellent.The breakfast was terrific and I loved the pool serene area. The staff was friendly and helpful, thank you so so much Mr. Mahmoud & Mr. Ankur & Mr. Baha and all the staff there.

We had an incredible time at Sofitel Downtown. The staff were incredible warm and welcoming - the receptionist even surprised us with a room upgrade. It was the perfect gesture after arriving in Dubai after midnight. Even though the main pool was out of service (for good reasons, it’s summer) we were still able to access another pool to cool off. The location is excellent, super close to the air conditioning walkway to Dubai Mall. The hotel itself is luxury! We’re so glad we stay. Thank you so much to the team, especially Nanda who is an absolute superstar. We’ll be back!!!

Great location on JBR2 overlooking JB beach. Rooms were very quiet and bed was huge and really comfortable, must have been the wife snored her head off. Stayed in a Luxury Sea View room overlooking the whole of Jumeriah beach and Dubai wheel.
Excellent choice of food for breakfast , caters for every nationality.
Service was excellent and staff were very friendly. 
Loads of places to eat just outside the hotel along Jumeriah walk and across from beach.
JBR2 Metro station only a 5 min walk from hotel.
Air con was great .
If I stay in Dubai again I wouldn't hesitate staying here it has everything we needed.

I would like to share my honest feedback regarding my recent experience at the hotel. While there were positive aspects, there were also significant concerns that impacted my overall satisfaction.  

On arrival, we were disappointed to find that the sea view room we had booked was unavailable. However, the receptionist, Malsha, was very courteous and resolved the issue by providing a room upgrade and a late check-out, which we appreciated. Additionally, the food quality was good, and the dining experience met our expectations in terms of cleanliness and taste (Thank you Daniel for your kind dining services).  

Unfortunately, several issues detracted from our stay. First, our key card was not updated in the system by 12:00 PM the following day, resulting in us being locked out of our room. More concerning, the cleaning supervisor entered our room without prior notice while my family members were asleep and while I was only partially dressed (wrapped in a towel). It was highly unprofessional for the supervisor to be unaware that the room was occupied, and this breach of privacy was unacceptable.  

When I raised these issues with the staff, the response was limited to an apology, with no further resolution or compensation offered. Given these incidents, I do not plan to return to this hotel in the future.  

While the staff’s initial efforts to accommodate us were commendable, the lack of attention to guest privacy and key card management significantly marred our experience.

We traveled with our 14-year-old child and booked a family connecting room. Each room is relatively independent. The room is decorated simply and tastefully, the faucets are all Grohe, and the bedding is great. The hygiene is very good. The air conditioner is quiet and the temperature is suitable. The front desk and restaurant, including the room cleaning staff, all speak good English and communicate smoothly. Very polite,
The breakfast place is not big, the coffee is delicious, and the croissant Madeline is very delicious. It is a stone's throw away from the Arc de Triomphe, quiet in the hustle and bustle.
Plan to come again in the summer!

The location is good. There is a watch shop opposite the hotel entrance. It takes only 10 minutes to walk to Printemps, Galeries Lafayette and the Louvre. There is a Walmart City supermarket to the west. There is a Hunan restaurant across the road to the south where I had two meals. The first intersection to the east is the Opera Metro Station. There is also a Sichuan restaurant with good food. The hotel breakfast includes shrimp dumplings, rice and miso soup. The staff is very friendly.

What is the experience of a five-star hotel without heating on a day of 10 degrees to 8 degrees? It really happened to me, and it was a Sofitel. Anyway, I caught a cold directly on the second day after staying, and the windows were closed tightly. The equipment Everything else is nonsense. I complained to the front desk the next day. Anyway, the attitude was very sincere, but the problem had occurred and the facilities were very backward. The front desk service was very enthusiastic and communicated with me from the perspective of the guest. Anyway, it is a five-star hotel in Paris. It's really hard to describe

The room is a little small though. It would be better if the mattress could be a little harder. It's super soft and makes me very tired when I sleep.

Unfortunately, this stay did not meet the standards I expect from a Sofitel, especially one marketed as a luxury hotel. Compared to other Sofitel properties, this was one of the weakest experiences I’ve had.

The room was uncomfortably hot, and the air conditioning was extremely poor, making it difficult to relax. Service from the staff was also underwhelming and lacked the attentiveness and polish typically associated with the brand.
Overall, this property falls short of Sofitel’s usual quality, and better experiences can certainly be found at other Sofitel hotels.

My stay here was short but very memorable. From approaching the lobby, I formed a very positive impression about the management standards of the hotel and its okay to say I wasn’t disappointed. I was particularly fascinated by the lightening on all the walkways and how spacious the rooms were. If you’re looking for a clean and well managed hotel close to Shanghai Hongqiao Airport or the railway, then this is highly recommended.
