This hotel is quite central. The parking entrance is a bit tricky; it's the leftmost lane, actually the entrance to the World Square car park. This setup is different from traditional car park entrances in China, which caused us to miss it and drive around the city center in circles. 

The hotel's dedicated parking is on level 3 (which is actually underground). When you enter the car park, you go down from levels 7, 6, 5, and so on. If you're driving to the hotel, you need to go to level 3. Be sure to follow the signs to the hotel's parking level on level 3 (different hotels use different levels for their private parking, so don't get confused). Once you've parked on level 3 in the hotel's dedicated parking, there's an elevator right next to it that takes you directly to the hotel's front desk on the L floor. Parking is expensive: AUD 60 for a weekend day and AUD 70 on weekdays. You pay by scanning a QR code. I hope this helps anyone driving themselves.

Everything else was fine. Parking in Sydney is really, really expensive if you're driving yourself. 😂

Location is the best, just a few steps to Tram at Chinatown station, and walking distance to Central train station. Room was clean and had glass, boiling pot, towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided. However, there were no shower cap, cotton pad, and cotton buds provided. We stayed at level 2 and could hear tram sound but we were not bother with that. We like the privacy of the hotel, no need to interact much with hotel staff. The check out can also be done by ourselves.

This hotel is right at the airport, the closest one to Terminal 1. There's a bus stop right next to the building. The restaurant on the M floor serves both breakfast and dinner, and the food and service are excellent. Even though the room faces the airport, there's no noise. It's spacious, bright, clean, and tidy, with new furniture and carpets. The bathroom and shower are separate (wet/dry), which is convenient and civilized. It definitely lives up to chain hotel standards. They even thoughtfully provide luggage trolleys at the entrance for guests' convenience.

Remember, check-out time is 11 AM. From the airport, buy a ticket for the T8 train to Wynyard Station. Take Exit 2 on George Street, cross the road, and walk straight for about 3 minutes – it's super convenient. Remember to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers. Shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner are provided, as are a hairdryer, towels, and bath towels. There's a supermarket right outside the train station where you can buy water to take to the hotel; there's a kettle in the room. The only downside is that hotel prices here are generally expensive. You can take a three-stop tram ride to Chinatown, where you'll find all sorts of authentic food.

First, the negatives. About half an hour after we checked in, a male staff member swiped his card and opened our room door. He said he was delivering hangers, but we hadn't requested any, so perhaps they were meant for another room and delivered by mistake. It was quite a shock regardless. I didn't report it to the staff during my stay, but afterwards, I made sure to double-lock the door every time I entered the room (before, I only locked it at night).

Now, for the positives. The location is excellent, very close to Central Station with many bus and light rail options nearby, making getting around super convenient. I stayed on the eighth floor, and while I could still hear traffic noise at night, which was a bit loud, the room's soundproofing was otherwise good, as I couldn't hear any noise from next door. The room was also very spacious, with a fridge and a safe. Overall, I recommend it.

The hotel was alright, definitely spacious and in a convenient location. The living room and bedroom is excellent in my books. However, it’s a bit dated, and the toilet shows its age. We encountered small cockroaches each evening we returned, luckily just the slow kind that you can easily catch. I appreciated the green programme that rewards guests who skip room service with vouchers, but the voucher has limited use, especially with the breakfast spread being quite limited; honestly, you’re better off heading out to nearby cafés instead. Skipping housekeeping also meant I had to dispose of my own trash, and the recycling bins near the lifts kept piling up without being cleared. Can be better.

I thoroughly enjoyed my overnight stay at Rudy’s North Sydney. The lovely man who checked me into the Hotel was so helpful. The following morning the host of the breakfast restaurant was also very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. Rooms are renovated with nice products.

Upon arrival the room smelled like stale cigarettes and stagnant water which was extremely unpleasant. I had to prop the door open with my suitcase to get fresh air in with the window open. I ended up going to the supermarket to buy carpet deodoriser and air freshener to get the smell out. I could still smell it when I left after 2 days. When I went to get into bed it was very obvious the bed had been slept in and the pillowcase had not been changed. I had to strip the bed and make it with what was left over with the sheet that goes over the doona. I know it was NYE and paid over $600 a night for the room, but wasn’t expecting the room to not smell ok and have fresh linen.

The stay was nice clean bed and bathroom the only real fault was the ac was absolutely terrible. I was advised that every rooms ac was not working correctly I ended up having to buy a fan so my boyfriend and I could sleep without melting.

I found it a little run down, overall.  The photo on the brochure must be a decade old!  Inside the rooms and around the property is not 4 star.

Seriously, just spend a bit more and stay at a Pullman. There's absolutely no service here!
I rarely leave bad reviews, but this experience was truly awful!
The check-in staff barely said a word. After I filled out the info, they just handed me the room key and immediately started talking to another colleague. They didn't even tell us where the breakfast restaurant was; we had to find it ourselves the next day. In the evening, the shower gel dispenser was empty. I called for some, and when they brought it up, they just handed it over without saying a single word or an apology, then left. 🤣 Then, in the afternoon, we heard someone trying to open our room door. It was a father and son, and they had a room key for *our* room, lol. I called the front desk, and they just said they accidentally gave them the wrong key. No apology, and then they just hung up on me. Is the front desk really that arrogant? The room facilities are quite old and dated. The location is also on the outskirts of town. I really don't recommend staying here... It truly ruined our trip.

The overall experience was very disappointing. The service desk was always occupied since there was only one staff member available, which made check-in and any requests very time-consuming. The biggest issue was the hot water kettle in the room—it was in terrible condition, with visible dirt and stains. I needed to boil water for my baby, but it was impossible to use safely. This was a nightmare and left me very dissatisfied with the stay.

A hotel for the location really. Perfect for an early morning flight. The view out the windows to the construction area below isn't great, but you don't stay here for the views. Nice smooth check-in and check-out, even at 5am.

Seriously lacking in hospitality. Asked for a latte at 5:57am and was told “ we don’t  open until 6am”
No newspapers available. Bellhop service virtually nonexistent. Room service was good. Front desk agent untrained and unsupervised. No greeting upon entering the hotel or restaurant. Great mixologist at the bar. 
Kudos to Andreas the only friendly person we met not really sure what his position is there but he was great, helpful and kind to two old ladies with multiple bags. 
No hand soap in the bathroom and towels were not changed. 
$45.00 per day valet car service seems a bit much given that there really isn’t another option. We stayed in a “superior double double “ Not sure what superior meant. One of the beds was hard up against a wall. Less than a meter between end of beds and desk/tv stand. Entertainment system did not offer any pay as you go options just a bunch of sky. No Netflix type options. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone and most certainly will not be going back!
