Booked a river view room with the little one, and it was absolutely stunning! Marriott has always been my favorite hotel brand, and this stay truly exceeded my expectations. The view from the window was picturesque, and my child loved it. It turns out the Christmas tree I used to see during my Huangpu River night cruises is actually in their lobby – how cool is that! 👍 Plus, the orange juice at breakfast was genuinely freshly squeezed, which my child adored. They even said they want to come back again next time. Highly recommended!

Excellent stay at JW Marriott Shanghai Tomorrow Square! 

The room was spacious, comfortable, and offered a fantastic view of the city. I was also pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary upgrade to an Executive Room, which made my stay even more enjoyable.

A special thank you to Mr Aaron for kindly extending my check-out time until 4:00 PM. His professionalism, attentiveness, and willingness to help truly stood out.

The customer service throughout my stay was exceptional. Superb customer service from the entire team. 

I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again on my next visit to Shanghai.

Extremely satisfied with this trip! We had a wonderful Dragon Boat Festival!

Facilities: The hotel has been open for five or six years but is very well maintained, large and modern. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with a good layout. The pool, gym, and other facilities are excellent. Both the Chinese restaurant and the breakfast/dinner buffets were delicious. My only disappointment was that I'd bought a group deal for the Lobby Lounge's chestnut cake, but it wasn't available at all during the Dragon Boat Festival, and this wasn't stated on the review site.

Cleanliness: Very good, spotless.

Environment: It's centrally located in Shanghai Fish, within walking distance of the museum, and the lake views are lovely. It's not far in a straight line from Jiukeshu Bubble Park, but walking there would be too far. There's no direct water access, so you'd have to take a taxi roundabout route, which we didn't do because of the rain. We took a 20-minute taxi ride to Qingxi Old Street, which was fun. It wasn't crowded or overly commercialized, making it very pleasant to explore.

Service: Impeccable. A doorman helped with luggage upon arrival, the front desk was efficient, and staff even escorted us to our room after check-in. Housekeeping was incredibly responsive, and service at the various restaurants was also excellent. Turndown service even included a Dragon Boat Festival sachet.

A couple of issues:
① After rain, the toilet had a foul smell that permeated the entire bathroom. The drainage system definitely needs maintenance.
② One morning, I smelled cigarette smoke in the shower! I initially thought something was burning, but then realized it was cigarette smoke, likely from next door, coming through the drain. It lasted for fifteen minutes and completely shocked me – I can't believe someone would be so inconsiderate.

Everything else was great, and I'd definitely consider returning.

I chose to stay at the JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen Bao'an this time. The location is super convenient, within walking distance of the subway, making it easy to get to all the major attractions. When I first arrived with a lot of luggage, Xana, a guest relations specialist, proactively came over to assist me. She quickly checked me in and then guided me to the elevators and my room. The room itself was more spacious than expected, with a walk-in closet that was great for storage. The bathroom was roomy, and the bathtub was perfect for a relaxing soak after a long journey. The room had excellent natural light, and the night view was absolutely stunning, overlooking the city lights, which created a fantastic atmosphere. Housekeeping was meticulous, and amenities were always well-stocked. Room service was also very quick when I called for items. Xana was warm and welcoming, making me feel comfortable and at ease. Her thoughtful service made my trip to a new city feel incredibly warm. The hotel excels in both its facilities and service. Staying here for a trip to Shenzhen is definitely a no-brainer.

A special shout-out to our housekeeper, Cassie, whose professionalism was outstanding! She proactively reached out regarding our check-in, providing clear instructions and guiding us through the process upon arrival. Any last-minute requests were handled promptly and efficiently. She was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and her service was meticulous. With Cassie taking care of everything, we didn't have to worry about a thing during our vacation. The experience was excellent, highly recommended!

Sanya Family Trip | JW Marriott Dadonghai Review – So thoughtful it made me cry! 😭

We took a taxi from the Hilton to the Greentown Sanya Dadonghai JW Marriott.
Check-in was smooth at 4 PM.
We booked the 'Stargaze Babies' room, and for families with two kids, it's an absolute no-brainer! 🥳
The layout truly understands parents traveling with children! One king bed + one bunk bed.
The room isn't huge, but it's fully equipped with everything you need.
Kids' amenities and thoughtful details are all in place, making for a very comfortable stay.

In the evening, we discovered a new activity – we went to the pool at the adjacent Autograph Collection hotel.
The evening breeze combined with the sound of the waves created such a wonderful ambiance.
It was super photogenic! 📸 We listened to the waves, watched the live performance, and observed the kids playing in the water – it truly felt like a perfect vacation.

I have to specially praise the incredibly thoughtful and amazing service at JW Marriott!!
Our flight was scheduled for the evening of the second day.
We originally requested a late check-out until 3 PM.
At noon, the hotel proactively contacted us.
Because there were guests checking in later, they thoughtfully asked if we'd be open to switching to a standard room type.
They then extended our check-out to 5 PM for free! 😭
This was truly so considerate! It didn't inconvenience the next guests, and it gave us ample time to rest, shower the kids, and get ready.
Staying during the off-season really brought so many pleasant surprises!

In the afternoon, the kids were full of energy again.
They had a blast playing in the Marriott pool until 4 PM.
Water volleyball was their favorite, and they absolutely didn't want to leave.

By 5 PM, we were packed and ready, concluding our trip perfectly as we took a taxi to the airport ✈️.
The entire experience was seamless, and Marriott's service really won us over.
For families with two kids visiting Sanya, this Dadonghai location is definitely worth it! #SanyaFamilyTrip

This island vacation was absolutely perfect, and I have to give a huge shout-out to our dedicated hotel butler, Harry. His service was incredibly attentive, exceeding all expectations. As soon as we arrived, he proactively helped with our luggage and thoroughly explained all the hotel amenities and benefits. Every day, he'd send timely and thoughtful reminders about wellness activities. He meticulously pre-arranged all our transportation, restaurant reservations, and even coordinated our travel photography. He consistently anticipated my needs with just the right amount of discretion. Throughout our stay, he was gentle, patient, and always responsive, providing such detailed and considerate personalized service that made the whole trip feel incredibly rejuvenating. Next time I stay here, I'll definitely be requesting Harry again!
