This hotel is perfect for layovers and business trips. The real-time flight information displayed on the large screen is a great feature, eliminating the need to constantly check flight statuses. The dedicated airport shuttle service is very convenient and makes the entire journey stress-free. Both the public areas and guest rooms are well-maintained. The breakfast offers a rich variety of options, with the Shacha noodles being authentically flavorful and the Southern Fujian (Min-Nan) specialty dishes genuinely delicious. All the amenities are practical and thoughtful.

Traveling with our two-year-old was perfect here. We stayed in the hotel for two days and didn't feel the need to leave. Sand digging, the kids' club, and swimming kept us fully occupied. Both the buffet and the Chinese restaurant were good; we ate there for two days straight. While not exactly cheap, the food was definitely tasty.

The butler service was very thoughtful. They prepared all the requested baby amenities, and were always helpful whenever we had questions or needed assistance.

The sea view room was beautiful.

There were a few minor points that could be improved:

The front desk staff's attitude was quite average. The bed rail was a bit old, even somewhat deformed. There were no USB charging ports in the room, and the bathroom lacked an exhaust fan.

We came before the holiday rush, so it wasn't crowded at all – sometimes we even had the kids' club all to ourselves. However, it's hard to say how often the kids' club is cleaned; it didn't look particularly spotless on the day we visited.

Overall, I'd probably return for the sea view and the food, hoping for some improvements.

The hotel facilities are absolutely perfect. The biggest highlight is the amazing breakfast, with a huge variety where every dish is carefully prepared. They have local specialties like rice noodles, satay noodles, peanut soup, a wide selection of pastries and fruits, and various Chinese and Western dishes. Some rooms even offer a fantastic airport view, and with the windows closed, there's no airport noise whatsoever.

This hotel completely exceeded my expectations for this trip, and we were attended by Manager Evelyn! I often saw her name in reviews, so I was surprised to meet her in person, haha. As soon as I checked in, I was rushing with a lot of luggage, and Evelyn was so gentle and patient throughout. She proactively upgraded us to a room with an amazing view and thoughtfully recommended some niche local eateries and travel tips. She was efficient and friendly, and any issues we had afterward were quickly and properly resolved by her.

It happened to rain in Xiamen during our stay, and Evelyn even went out of her way to text us, reminding us to bring an umbrella. Later, we tried the breakfast buffet, which had a rich variety of options, including Chinese and Western dishes, freshly ground coffee, desserts, and fruits. The ingredients were fresh, and the taste was on point. Getting up early for such a meal was truly delightful.

Overall, I feel the value for money was excellent. The whole experience was comfortable and rejuvenating. I'll definitely come back to Xiamen and stay here again next time!

Highly recommend! The facilities are excellent and very clean. The air conditioning works great, and the service is attentive. Overall, it was a very good experience.

For this price point, this hotel offers incredible value for money. It boasts a massive 150-acre public area, which is quite rare for hotels in China. It's perfectly suited for families with children, and they even offer complimentary welcome fruit and a bedtime sweet soup. The details for family-friendly amenities are also very well done. However, the front desk staff who checked me in could use some more training, as they seemed a bit unfamiliar with the process. I also wish there were more dining options – that would make it absolutely perfect, haha!

We had a very pleasant stay and truly appreciated the thoughtful room arrangement with toy, which made our little one feel welcomed right away.

The lunch buffet at the restaurant was excellent, offering good quality and variety. The airport shuttle service provided by the hotel was extremely convenient and made our travel much easier.

Special thanks to the reception staff Anna (Lim Anna) for her kind assistance with a domestic phone call using her own mobile phone. Her willingness to help was deeply appreciated and reflected genuine care for guests.

Overall, a comfortable and considerate experience. Thank you to the team for the warm hospitality.

We had a wonderful stay at Portman Hotel, and the picturesque surroundings truly made our experience special. The views are simply stunning, creating a beautiful backdrop for our getaway. 

The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, always ready to assist with any requests or questions we had, which made our stay even more enjoyable. There were plenty of activities available for both children and adults, ensuring that everyone had a great time. 

We especially loved the indoor pool area—it was a perfect spot to relax and unwind while still enjoying the hotel’s ambiance. Overall, Portman Hotel exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to return for another memorable stay! Highly recommend it!

The room was spacious, and there was plenty of hot water, plus the air conditioning worked really well. My only minor complaint is that they only offer laundry service and don't have a self-service laundromat. For summer travel, it's much more convenient to be able to wash and dry your own clothes. There was ample parking, which was super handy for picking up and dropping off people at the airport.

My experience was absolutely top-notch! The moment I stepped into the hotel, I was captivated by its warm yet grand decor. The hotel staff (or ”cheese service” which is an interesting literal translation, usually it's just 'staff' or 'service') were incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic. Check-in was quick and seamless, and they thoughtfully detailed all the hotel's facilities, which immediately boosted my impression. The bedding was soft and comfortable, significantly improving my sleep quality. The room was clean and tidy, and the hotel boasted excellent entertainment facilities. The location is also superb, being close to the airport makes getting around super convenient. I wholeheartedly recommend this gem of a hotel, and I'll definitely choose it again for my next trip!

The front desk staff, particularly Xiao Le, was very polite and attentive. They even upgraded my room for free, which was a nice touch. It's also conveniently located for getting to the airport.
