That means rustic and serene, close to nature, and ready for the basic existence of sleeping, swimming, and cooking. The artfully reconstructed 1908 ice house can be used for reading and writing, crafts and naps. In short, bring very little and commune with the natural surroundings that await. Everything can be found in the village, a 3 mile bike ride away. The rental party should ideally consist of a simple-minded chef, an imaginative watercraft facilitator, an observant naturalist, and a gentle fitness advocate, and perhaps a random, somewhat dim-witted tagalong, capable of playing games and baiting hooks!Guests will quickly discover why the setting has direct ties to the story of the classic play, and Oscar winning movie, On Golden Pond. Great fishing just off the dock. The yard has a large stone fireplace and picnic table.
