EEmily Rose L- Great location at the end of Lamai beach with a lovely view of both sand and beautiful boulders. -There is a little beach bar just beside the hotel that provides spots to sit on a giant boulder, which is a great perch in the evening or for sunrise. It looks like there are paddle boards and snorkels for use at the hotel. It’s near to the Grandmother/father rocks and Lamai beach is perfect for swimming and walking. - We loved the breakfasts, especially the delicious homemade croissants and pain au chocolate, along with fresh fruits changed daily and eggs to order. The Thai lunch options were also very good. -Win and Naing were kind and warm and helped us with what we needed. - The pool and frangipani tree, along with a variety of spots for lounging, including big covered round beds, created a chill atmosphere: so comfortable that were much lazier than we thought we’d be because we were so relaxed. Tip: The rooms have only partial views and the best view is #8. Note: Our room was a bit stuffy and the bathroom was a little dark and a little smelly, but definitely not too bad. The alley just outside the hotel is unlit and foul smelling, but a short walk away from some massage places and a few restaurants and bars. In general, the property is well maintained but shows a bit of wear, including stained patio cushions and umbrellas and things like that, but just a touch of aesthetic upgrades are needed- it’s still a great beach resort, a very good value, and we’d be back again. Merci!

While the first and second floors might lack these views, the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms remain commendable. Bed and pillows were awesome!! Cons: Noise Levels: A significant downside to staying at Dara Samui Beach Resort, especially noted on Chaweng Beach, is the noise pollution from nearby clubs. Guests looking for a peaceful night's sleep might find the loud music, particularly the repetitive beats and booming sounds from 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM, to be a major disturbance. This could be a dealbreaker for light sleepers or those seeking a restful retreat. Beach and Swimming Conditions: While the beach itself is beautiful and great for daytime relaxation, the water level often remains below one meter, making it impossible to swim in the ocean. This shallow water issue is prevalent across most of Chaweng Beach and might disappoint those looking forward to ocean swimming. Conclusion: Dara Samui Beach Resort offers a fantastic adult-only experience with its excellent location, superb staff, and top-notch facilities. Kk.mayumiIn the end, we decided to stay at this hotel and had the best days ever! I highly recommend it. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the pool was perfect for relaxing, with towels available whenever you wanted. No one was making noise. lol We moved to Chaweng the next day, but my husband and I decided that the Lamai area was a better fit for us. Many of our guests come to Samui looking for a more relaxed experience, and we were able to relax there as well. We're grateful to receptionist K, who spoke to us slowly despite her poor English. The other staff members were also very kind. We'll definitely go again.

MMomotravelThis was my third stay here; twice I've been in a beachfront villa, and once when I couldn't book one, I opted for a sea view villa, which instantly halved my experience. If it's your first time in Koh Samui and you want an unbeatable sea view room with hotel amenities, I highly recommend the beachfront villas at Silavadee. **Hotel Pros:** The stunning, unbeatable ocean views are immediately apparent and absolutely breathtaking. Furthermore, the room design and maintenance are excellent; it's a wooden structure full of holiday charm that doesn't feel damp or moldy despite being by the sea, remaining fresh and tidy. The hotel service is spot on. Whether it's room service or restaurant service, they respond promptly to requests, and the prices are reasonable! **Things to consider for your stay:** The transportation is a bit inconvenient. Since it's on a hill, there are no restaurants or shops within walking distance apart from the hotel's own. We rented a motorbike from the hotel, so it didn't affect us. The hotel beach is just average; it's a bit small, and walking further in can be a bit rough on the feet. The waves are often too strong for water sports, but since we mostly relaxed in our room, it wasn't an issue for us.

MMarielleeGarrya Tonsay Bay was a beautiful and peaceful oasis on Koh Samui! We stayed for a couple of nights and loved the variety of included activities, from morning yoga and Muay Thai to circuit classes, paddle boarding, and snorkeling—all very well organized. The restaurant was excellent; we enjoyed the ”Taste of Northern Thailand” dinner, and the breakfast buffet was one of the best we’ve had. The staff was amazing, incredibly friendly, and attentive to every detail. Highly recommend this relaxing retreat!

AAnonymous UserEverything about this hotel was absolutely amazing! The staff was fantastic—very attentive and professional. The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, and the property itself was stunning, with beautiful landscaping and plenty of areas to relax. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, offering a wide variety of high-quality options. However, there are a couple of downsides. The beach line is quite narrow, and the sand is relatively coarse, though this seems to be a characteristic of the entire North Coast. Additionally, the rooms are designed in a way that you can hear your neighbors, as they are separated by connecting doors. This can occasionally affect privacy and quietness. Overall, despite these minor issues, everything else was perfect, and I would still highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful stay!
