XXiemimiThe villa's location was great, the beach was fantastic, and the private pool was lovely! The rooms were just average, and the decor felt a bit outdated. The bedrooms, in particular, were quite ordinary. I personally didn't care for the high ceilings. The shower, however, was excellent! The rainforest showerhead was a real treat!
The butler service was practically nonexistent. They said they'd add me on WhatsApp but then disappeared. They also seemed to follow a strict process and didn't explain many things clearly. I usually ended up calling '0' to sort things out myself, as I never knew where the butler was. The breakfast restaurant was a disaster; I ordered coffee twice, and it never arrived. The division of labor seemed chaotic, with multiple people asking for my room number.
Check-in was also disorganized, with different staff members handling things at various times. The service felt haphazard. Lots of staff, but ineffective! The staff's English was noticeably poor, and their accents were very strong. They also seemed robotic and lacked a personal touch. When I emailed previously, I had to get Ctrip to chase them for a reply. Compared to the service at Anantara where I stayed a few days prior, it was a huge step down.
Also, constantly having to take a buggy to get around was quite inconvenient. And the main pool being under maintenance during my stay was also quite disappointing.
However, I must specifically commend the beach staff here. The new boss (name) was absolutely wonderful! This was the best staff member at the entire hotel!! He taught me how to sail!! He helped me move kayaks and SUPs! His English was much better than the other staff, and his attitude was extremely friendly!! He added so much value to this hotel!!

GGuest UserOne of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Fantastic clean massive room with everything you would need, gorgeous balcony and daily maid service. Brilliant evening entertainment and great cocktails all within walking distance of some of the nicest restaurants and bars on Koh Samui and right near Coco Tams for fire show and Fisherman’s village a vibrant night market. Oh i forgot to mention breakfast was lovely so much variety and all well cooked. The staff were all very pleasant too,

VViktorLocation: you need to immediately understand that you will need transport. There are a couple of cafes within walking distance, but we didn’t go to them, there weren’t many people there either, except that a couple of times we saw a few farangs having breakfast. Report offers delivery to and from the beach during certain hours. I don’t remember the price: either free, or for a symbolic fee, very low. They also offered to order breakfast and have it delivered to your villa: it’s certainly more expensive than in a regular cafe, but still affordable. We did not use this service, since we would have to plan breakfast time in advance (why?). The beach... we stayed during the daytime low tides, so I can’t say anything good about the sea, but the beach itself is clean and almost deserted.
Surprises: we booked a villa with three bedrooms and a living room + a swimming pool. When looking at the photos of the rooms (at the time of booking), I could not understand the location of the room and also could not understand the privacy of the pool. Will the pool be ours alone or will it have to be shared with guests from some other villa. I even looked around on Google Maps, but still didn’t fully understand it. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised that this very villa consists of two separate houses between which there is a swimming pool (not small, but medium in size). One house consists of two bedrooms with separate entrances and separate bathrooms, and the other house consists of a huge living room, dining room, kitchen and bedroom + 2 bathrooms. Grandiose! Another patio.
Of the minuses: not very stable wi-fi, TV is brooding. That's all. Air conditioners also do not cool as quickly as we would like, but this is the fault of the building design. A huge area of glazing which is made of single wood. If in the future we install normal aluminum structures with double-glazed windows, it will be possible to achieve a better effect from air conditioners + save on electricity and improve sound insulation. However, air conditioners do their job quite well. It was almost always quiet.
Overall everything is ok. This place is worth the money. The owner, Lana, is very friendly and speaks perfect Russian.

**Location:** Situated right on Chaweng Beach, with a supermarket, spa, and bars right outside – incredibly convenient for getting around.
**Service:** The staff are warm and attentive. Both the front desk and restaurant have staff who can speak basic Chinese, and they provided a very detailed introduction to the hotel.
**Breakfast:** A mix of à la carte and buffet. It was delicious and tasty, designed to prevent waste, and you can always order more if you're still hungry.
**Facilities:** Very new, smart, and exquisitely designed!
**Other amenities:** The hotel offers various classes similar to yoga every morning, a family farm juice bar in the late morning, and free ice cream in the afternoon. They also provide welcome gifts upon check-in, such as eye masks, noise-cancelling headphones, and snacks.
This is my genuine experience, and I hope it helps others!

1) The room view and its size (but we paid a significant amount extra for it, because the initial room was impossible to sleep in - more on that below)
2) Quick problem resolution by staff
3) Daily, high-quality cleaning
4) Huge, comfortable bed, good pillows
5) Quiet in the new building, comfortable for sleeping
What I didn't like:
1) Initially, we had booked a deluxe room with a garden view. Upon check-in, we were extremely tired after three flights and almost immediately fell asleep. We woke up at midnight to some wild noises (which turned out to be frogs) that didn't stop, and it was impossible to sleep. The old door had a huge gap, through which the sound barely diminished, as if we were sleeping outdoors. We had to urgently request a room change. Ultimately, they promptly provided us with a replacement in the new building, which was 1.5 times larger in area and 1.5 times more expensive, so we had to pay a significant amount extra, but it was worth it.
2) The breakfasts were terrible - stale bread and overripe fruit; the chef's eggs Benedict were mediocre. In the end, we went elsewhere for breakfast.
3) The air conditioning was very loud, making it impossible to sleep with it on, so we ended up sleeping without it.

KKathrina16We stayed in room 202, which is a detached bungalow. It's a two-story room with a bathtub on the terrace, and the view overlooks lush greenery and the Gulf of Siam. There's so much greenery around, it felt like we were in an arboretum. Also, there are snails living on the hotel grounds, so be careful not to step on them on the paths in the dark.
The breakfasts were absolutely superb, and a special thanks to the employee who made the juice. She's so cheerful, brightens everyone's day, and makes such delicious juices, cutting the fruit right in front of us – the mangoes from her hands seemed even tastier!
We enjoyed the live music at the Roy Roy restaurant.
In the evenings, they brought lovely treats to the room, and during the day, they laid out towels on the sun loungers, brought cold water, and mini ice cream or watermelon.
A big thank you to the staff. We will definitely return to this hotel!

We drove all the way from Bangkok, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. The concierge team promptly assisted with our luggage and parked our car, making our arrival completely seamless.
The lobby and check-in area are absolutely stunning, overlooking the beautiful Koh Samui coastline. It is one of the best places to enjoy a breathtaking sunset.
We were assigned Room 503, which was very spacious and thoughtfully designed. The privacy compartment doors made it ideal for families, and the sofa bed was surprisingly large and comfortable—perfect for our 19-year-old son.
Pros:
- A beautiful private beach with complimentary kayaking. While it may not be the best beach for swimming, it is perfect for relaxing and enjoying water activities.
- The buggy service was incredibly fast and efficient. Every driver was friendly, cheerful, and always ready to take us anywhere around the resort within minutes.
- Outstanding hospitality and guest service. Every staff member made us feel genuinely welcome. A special thank you to Mr. Ruben for taking such great care of us throughout our stay.
- The concierge team did an excellent job arranging our private long-tail boat tour. We had a wonderful day visiting Pig Island, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, and enjoying the beauty of Koh Samui. Everything was organized perfectly.
- The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with a wide variety of delicious options. The bacon and pastries were among the best we've had, and a special thank you to Mr. Ping for serving us the sweetest, most delicious mangoes every morning.
- Our housekeeping attendant, Mr. Renu from Myanmar, was exceptionally polite, friendly, and professional. He kept our room spotless every day, and his attention to detail made our stay even more comfortable.
During check-out, I had a pleasant conversation with Bernice, the Director of Rooms from Malaysia. Our chat about Malaysian food brought back wonderful memories and was a lovely way to end our stay.
Three nights simply were not enough at The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui. This is the kind of resort where you should stay for at least one week to fully enjoy everything it has to offer. Unfortunately, I didn't even have enough time to experience the gym, which looked excellent.
Only one small suggestion: the breakfast seating area can get a little warm during the morning. Of course, that's part of the tropical outdoor atmosphere—almost like a natural sauna—but a few more cooling fans would make the experience even more comfortable.
Overall, we completely fell in love with The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui. The breathtaking scenery, luxurious accommodations, impeccable service, and warm hospitality from every member of the team made this an unforgettable vacation. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a truly world-class stay in Koh Samui.

stayed in amari koh samui for 4nights, we just got back from koh samui a few days ago.
location wise sure cant deny that, it's by the beach front, 5 mins drive away from central koh samui mall and walking from the night life but so does other resorts around the area.
when you get to the hotel specially after paying so much per night and to be classified as a 5 star hotel, you expect a good service, a 5 star service. Specially when the first point of contact to the customer service is the front staffs, however very disappointing. Most, if not all of the staffs doesnt seem to smile at all. We arrived early so we had lunch first and sure they managed to give us earlier check in at almost 2pm, their check in is at 3pm. we let it go perhaps we were just too tired and sensitive as we just arrived in koh samui and it was humid, however, throughout our stay their customer service was absolutely lacking. VERY LACKING. specially a few staffs driving the buggy service, we even had an accident one time when we were on our way back to the room, one of the driver drove so fast, THEY ALL DRIVE REALLY FAST, and he rammed onto one of the on coming buggy, i was holding my baby so tight. luckily nothing happened to us. same buggy driver who was had a grumpy look the entire stay and we saw him throwing luggages on to the buggy instead of handling them with care. so when you are taking a buggy, tell them to drive slow.
the room, we booked a connecting room, which was a mistake. booking 2 rooms would have been cheaper but anyhow, the room was not clean at all, the bathtub was moldy the floors felt dirty and there were alot of mosquitos every single day. first day we arrived we killed 10 mosquitos in one room whats up with that.
breakfast had good selections, they have 3 pools around the resorts as it is a big resort best one is the one over looking the beach, kid friendly pool. they have kids room, not that big just a small room.. anyway overall would i come back here in Amari Koh Samui, absolutely NOT. Would i recommend amari koh samui, absolutely NOT. if you want to stay in a beach front, there are alot of beach front resorts near amari and around the area check that out..
they did something nice from my baby;s birthday, decorated the mirror and gave cake so i appreciated that.
with kids i would recommend hyatt koh samui, they are friendlier to kids and service is top notch. we moved there after amari THANK GOODNESS

The pool in the room was absolutely the best that we have ever been to, which was large enough with jacuzzi function so that we could have fun and enjoy it for a long time. However there were quite a lot of ants around the pool and inside the room, but understood it's becos of the environment near the nature. It's too bad the breakfast place was relocated to Hue and the food quality was okay. Overall it's a fantastic experience for us!

GGuest UserLocation: Perched on a steep hill, riding a scooter here requires some skill. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have a license. There's absolutely nothing around, just a couple of **** shops across the street. The massage places along the way aren't great either; they don't even offer foot washing, unlike the more professional chain stores on the main commercial street, though prices are the same. Annoyingly, they wouldn't let us ride our own scooter into the middle of the property to get our luggage. You can call them to get a shuttle from the lobby to your room or vice versa, otherwise, it's a really long walk to the sea view rooms.
Pool: The pool is quite shallow, maybe 1.2m at its deepest, I can't quite recall. It's only good for splashing around. The sea here doesn't have big waves, so you can just float and relax.
Room: The shower seemed to be faulty, alternating between hot and cold – I nearly caught a cold. The AC, however, is incredibly powerful; great for those who get hot easily, it can get really chilly. The TV is good, with Netflix directly accessible without a subscription.
Hygiene: The breakfast wasn't clean. I got diarrhea before even finishing it. There were worms in the cucumber, several white ones. I initially thought they were plant fibers, but then they started wiggling (see P9). I immediately had to run to the toilet. My friend, who didn't eat the cucumber, also got sick, for unknown reasons. I continued to have diarrhea for a few days after returning home. It might not be related to the hotel, but this hotel was my last stop in Thailand.
Service: They offered a welcome drink, but it didn't taste good. There's a very small gym by the entrance. The staff generally had a good attitude.
Summary: It's a relatively quiet place, suitable for just relaxing. Getting to the commercial street isn't easy; it takes 20 minutes by scooter, mainly due to the very steep ups and downs. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you want to go to bars or clubs. Walking to shops is too far, and there's a constant smell of **** that made me feel nauseous.
