DDomingo’sI don't understand why this hotel has so many good reviews, but I want to write honestly, as someone who has worked in tourism for 20 years and seen a lot. The hotel definitely doesn't live up to its category. The biggest downsides are: there's no sea, the tide is very low every day, so you definitely can't swim here, and the knee-deep water that comes in in the afternoon smells like fish, and even while you're sitting at breakfast, there's a very unpleasant fish smell. But if you want, there's a shuttle that takes you to a good beach several times a day. The pool is dirty with green water; I was snorkeling, and there were tons of hair and sand at the bottom. The water doesn't circulate. In the morning, they pour two buckets of chlorine to disinfect the pool, and then it turns blue for a short while. The hotel rooms are large and comfortable, but tired. The tiles and plumbing need replacing. There were a lot of ants and cockroaches in the room. When we reported them, a worker came to exterminate them and treat them with ant repellent. On the plus side, the room has a large TV with YouTube access, a refrigerator, a tea station, a comfortable bed, and daily cleaning and towel changes. Peacocks roam the grounds (but that's not the main reason to come here). Breakfast is modest; there's a coffee machine with real coffee, pancakes, omelets like everywhere else, sausages and ham, and fruit. There were no yogurts or cheeses, and the juices were watered down. A lot of the equipment in the gym is broken. It depends on your preference, but for me, the sea and pool are key features in a place like this, so I wouldn't go back. There are plenty of cheaper and better options on the coast.

AAntonIf you love beautiful nature, clean sandy beach (not like white sand), human attitude is here. The price/quality ratio is just amazing! Private beach, next to a good restaurant on the seaside. In general, there is a good set of depth in the sea. A good massage salon with a stunning view. English speaking staff is rare. Water in bottles every day and little pleasures. A good Internet that catches even on the beach. From the downsides - perhaps too much distance from the venue, but that's all the beauty. The lack of a teapot and a refrigerator in the cottage, and the compulsory presence of a motorbike as on the back. I advise as much as possible.

PPestova NataliaThe hotel is old, like really old, it was built in 1989 and it’s very visible. The bedsheets, towels are so old and dirty like 2 star motel. Deluxe family room looks like rooms in 1989 also. Not modern at all. We upgraded to villa (had to pay a lot for this) and it’s good, a bit old but much better, with beach view and private territory. The territory of hotel is really beautiful and big, it’s like a park and beach is great. You can also take cayak to get to the small island nearby. The birds (hornbills) that live at the hotel are really beautiful and worth seeing! Everything closes really early - even game room - it’s just a room with board games and we wanted to play there and the staff told us that they were closing at 7.30 p.m! Why not open this room until 10 at least 😀 No evening activities at all. Everything gets quiet and dead at 7 p.m. There is beach cinema announcement at reception on Sundays, but when we arrived on Sunday, the staff told us that there will be no movies 🫣 Отель очень старый, просто древний, постельное белье и полотенца в ужасном состоянии. Семейный номер на горе - это просто ужас. Детский бассейн на горе ушатанный. Единственное достойное в этом отеле - виллы с видом на море. В них нормальная мебель, полотенца и особое меню на завтраках. Прекрасная территория и пляж. Птицы-носороги - это восторг. Обезьяны нас не беспокоили - но мы жили на вилле рядом с морем. Думаю, в лесных номерах их полно.. В 7 часов вечера в отеле все закрывается, полная тишина. Никаких развлечений. Пляж прекрасный, надеюсь, что отель займется реновацией номеров, приведением их в современный стиль.

CChristopher scottThis hotel has a partial beach view. To the right of the photo is a boat marina with no clear organization and walking to the right along the beach is not possible. It (2025 fall) was also under some serious construction. Be careful on the beaches here! 2 people stepped on broken glass nearby and the staff didn’t really offer any extra help. Plus side: elephants! They walked by at least twice a day to cool off and swim.

GGuest UserThe Hotel has an excellent location with restaurants and supermarket nearby. My recommendation is to check in only in the beach facing rooms as the view is awesome. From other rooms there is no view. The beach is very rocky but you can walk up a few minutes and it gets better. I have given average rating only because of lack of basic facilities. There is no room service or in-room dialing. You need to contact reception through Whatsapp. Basic amenities like toothpaste, clothes hook, sugar, teabags, milk sachets are not in the room. Only limited coffee pouches are given per day. This is not expected from a premium resort. The breakfast is nice esp. the eggs made to order and cheese platter. Overall we had a good stay due to the location of the room. The management needs to just do a bit extra to make it a top grade Hotel

GGuest UserWe stayed at Stage Hotel for 15 days, and it was truly wonderful. A very cozy, clean, and comfortable hotel that makes you feel at home from the very first days. The rooms are spotless, the beds are very comfortable, and the snow-white bed linen is a real pleasure to sleep in. The air conditioning works perfectly — the temperature in the room was always comfortable. Special thanks to the friendly and welcoming staff. Everyone was kind, attentive, and made us feel genuinely cared for. Honestly, I was almost in tears when it was time to leave. This is a place you want to come back to again and again. Stage Hotel is not just a hotel — it’s a feeling of comfort, calm, and warmth away from home. We will definitely return ❤️

PPeter LeblancRooms are clean and big. Check in as check out is smooth. The bar and restaurant looks new. The rooms seems to be renoveted. But the suroundings need attention. Some parts of the wooden floor on the restaurant where shaking as we walked over it. The bathroom is updated but shower was was weak pressure and the Shower head need to be cleaned. The restaurant food was, amazing good en fair priced. Staff is helpful and friendly. Most customers where young guests and the bar near our room was a bit loud. After all it was a plus. But loved more our stay at Bang Bao, it was more peacefully and natural . We're an older couple 🙏🇹🇭

GGuest UserA small, cozy hotel. Rooms are cleaned upon request (ours weren't cleaned even once in three days), and water and toilet paper were left at the door. Two supermarkets are nearby! You can rent a motorbike for 200 baht. The sea is 300 meters away, with a sandy beach. Every day, elephants are taken for a swim in the Gulf of Thailand. For 500 baht, you can arrange a private photo shoot and swim with an elephant. In the evening, it's pleasant to stroll towards the sea and have a drink (shakes, coffee, etc.) at the pier or cafe.

It is an excellent choice if you want privacy, relaxation, and great swimming pools, but it is not the best choice if you want to swim in the ocean directly from the hotel beach. Key Features • Location: It is located at Bai Lan Bay, which is south of the popular ”Lonely Beach.” It is very quiet. To find nightlife or a variety of street food, you will likely need to take a taxi or rent a motorbike to drive about 5-10 minutes to Lonely Beach or Kai Bae. • The Beach: Important Note: The hotel has a private beachfront, but it is quite rocky. It is beautiful for sunsets and relaxing on bean bags, but it is generally not suitable for swimming due to the rocks. • Pools: To make up for the rocky beach, the hotel has two excellent swimming pools. One is a large free-form pool by the ocean, which is very popular with guests. • Rooms: The resort offers a range of rooms from Standard to Private Pool Villas. The rooms are generally reviewed as spacious and modern with Thai influences. The Pool Villas are highly recommended for couples seeking privacy. VVarsenal76Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort I stayed in a room with a private pool. A little splurge on myself! It was so fun to have my own pool, to wake up in the morning and just jump into the water for a little cooling off. I could lay on the recliner and read to my heart’s content with no distractions, feet in the water. Morning breakfasts are fantastic and the beach view is amazing! Staff are friendly and helpful. What to know?: it’s the “Cliff Beach Resort”, which means your on a hill… which means climbing. It’SA steep walk from room to beach, but a great opportunity to get your blood flowing. Embrace it. Room for growth: the bedding smelled a bit sour. It’s wet here, so making sure things dry properly is a challenge. My greatest complaint about the room is that there was a ladder propped up against the backside of the pool wall, meaning someone could climb it right into my private room. A little sketch. The ladder is for maintenance, so I just pushed it off the wall. The pool could use a bit of chlorine as algae was present on the pool walls, but honestly, I’d rather have the non-chemical water. The biggest negative which the hotel has no control over is the nighttime noise. There’s a bar across the street which pumps loud music (starting at 10pm and going til like 4am). The hotel actually gives you earplugs when you check in. So lame. There’s two pools. One up on top of the cliff with excellent views. One down by the ocean. Overall, a pleasant stay.
