Sheraton Zhuhai Hotel

We've stayed at this hotel more than once, and that alone speaks volumes. It's one of the best hotels for us when visiting Zhuhai, particularly for its location between Xiangzhou District and Hengqin. The sea-view rooms are especially wonderful; just opening the balcony door (or even just looking through it) will captivate you with the stunning views of the Haojiang River and Macau. You can fully enjoy events like the Macau fireworks in September or watch the sunrise in the morning without even leaving your room. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, and the lobby downstairs is a great spot for photos. It's also quite close to the Shizimen Huafa Mall, so if you find the hotel's dining options a bit pricey, you can walk a few hundred meters to the mall for a wider range of choices to suit any budget. A morning stroll by the sea is also incredibly pleasant.

The hotel's location is excellent, making travel very convenient. It's just a short walk to the beach, and both taxis and buses are easily accessible. The room was spotlessly clean, the air conditioning worked great, and the bedding was comfortable. The staff were warm, attentive, and highly efficient, and any issues were communicated smoothly. For late-night snacks, they offered congee, sweet soups, and freshly cooked noodles, which the kids really enjoyed. The restaurant on the 12th floor has a fantastic view, offering panoramic vistas of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge. Overall, the value for money is excellent, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

First off, a big thank you to Flora for arranging everything! We stayed at Wanghailou and MGM before this, and while those were satisfactory, Angsana's service truly surprised us. They upgraded our original sea view room to a 'Premium Sea View,' which was fantastic. The elevator goes directly down to the pool, and the way the pool blends with the trees here creates a wonderful, Bali-like atmosphere. Plus, the sunshine in Zhuhai isn't as intense as in Sanya, making it feel very relaxing – a much more laid-back vibe than the scenic pool at Wanghailou. The only minor point was on the other side of the pool, it seemed like it needed a good clean, as there was a bit of plastic trash. Since it wasn't a holiday, they also kindly arranged an early check-in and an extra hour for check-out, which I genuinely appreciated. At MGM, despite many empty rooms, they insisted on a 3 PM check-in, so comparisons are inevitable. The room facilities aren't brand new, but for the price point, they're perfectly fine, especially considering the neighboring hotels are over 3K. The Thai restaurant, 'Miyan,' was delicious; every dish was excellent, even better than most Thai restaurants. Irene also helped us secure the only private room, making for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. My only suggestion: the price of the Coke was unnecessarily high. The food prices were reasonable, but the Coke felt really out of place. Also, I'd suggest considering packages that include the minibar. For a resort hotel, a small investment there could greatly enhance the guest experience. Overall, this was the best part of our trip, and we'll definitely be back!

The hotel offers free parking and even gives you an extra 48 hours of free parking after check-out, which is super friendly. This is incredibly convenient for people like us who are visiting Macau. It saved us a significant amount on parking fees.

Traveling with kids in Guangdong, with temperatures soaring above 30℃, truly felt like a trial by fire! For our Zhuhai trip, we headed straight to the Gongbei Port and checked into the Zhuhai Wan Yue Hotel on the first day. I never expected that choosing the right hotel would cut my stress in half! This 'mom-friendly' itinerary was incredibly smooth. 👇 🗺️ Our Lazy First Day Itinerary in Zhuhai • Arrival & Check-in: The hotel is at No. 28 Shuiwan Road, Gongbei, super close to the border crossing. We hopped out of the car and were checked in within seconds. This time, I specifically chose a family-themed room. The room was very spacious with one 2-meter wide bed and one 1.2-meter wide bed, giving us plenty of room with the little one. Although the side window offered views of the bustling city and a partial sea view, it was wonderfully quiet and not facing the street. The family room also thoughtfully provided kids' toothbrushes, slippers, and toys – full marks for attention to detail! It met all the essential needs for families with children. • Hotel Fun: In the afternoon, we went straight to the heated pool and indoor kids' play area on the 5th floor. The water quality was clean, and there were staff supervising, so the kids played wildly for two hours. • Dinner Delight: In the evening, we took the elevator up to the 'Wan Yue Xuan Seafood Restaurant' on the 22nd floor – this is where the real 'king's view' is! The floor-to-ceiling windows offered a direct view of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. We enjoyed delicious Cantonese cuisine while admiring the bridge's night scenery. • Seaside Stroll: After sunset, we headed to Binhai Park / Lovers' Road. The sea breeze blew away all our fatigue, and watching the distant bridge tower lights was super chill. The kids even got to build sandcastles. • Breakfast Power-up: With both Western and Chinese options, plus Cantonese dim sum, we filled up early before heading out. • Prime Location: Gongbei Port/High-Speed Rail Station are within walking distance, making it convenient to go to Macau, Chimelong, or downtown.

Chimelong Hengqin Bay Hotel

9.3/10
Very Good

My child loved it and wants to stay here again next time. Chimelong Ocean Kingdom has several hotels: Penguin Hotel, Spaceship Hotel, and Hengqin Bay. Each has its unique features. Hengqin Bay's main draws are its water park and dolphins. The water park opens at 9:30 AM, and that's when the dolphins are fed, allowing for close-up viewing. The package ticket offers unlimited entry to Ocean Kingdom for two days, which is incredibly good value. Especially in the hot summer, you can get tired after half a day of playing, so it's great for kids to return to the hotel to rest and then come back the next day to finish exploring. Plus, you get one-hour early entry, avoiding the 10 AM queues at the main Chimelong entrance by using the hotel's exclusive通道. Breakfast at the hotel is also very extensive, with a wide variety of steamed dim sum, noodles, and more. Everything is of excellent quality! My child had a blast eating and playing. Hengqin Bay is absolutely massive, divided into Dolphin and Seahorse sections. Upon entering, you're almost shocked to see about a dozen counters with staff checking people in – it gets incredibly crowded! Naturally, during breakfast, two large restaurants serve food simultaneously. There was a minor hiccup during check-in, but the concierge discreetly delivered four picture books and puzzles to the children, which was a very nice touch! We also had an experience ordering takeout. Everyone waited at the takeout handover point, and we were all assigned four-digit codes, making it feel like a secret agent rendezvous – quite amusing.

Zhuhai Marriott Hotel (Lovers Road, Xiangluwan Road)

This is an older hotel located in a bustling area. The sea-view rooms offer a distant glimpse of the 'Fisher Girl' statue, though it's more of a 'glimpse' than a full 'view.' It's a shame that for such a well-known, established brand, the facilities are quite disappointing. It's also not very friendly for those driving. On a weekend affected by Typhoon Nangka along the coast, hotel parking became a real headache. Most of the B1 parking is outdoors, so you're bound to get wet in a downpour. B2 is an underground garage, but it's really only convenient for check-in. Once you're checked in and want to leave, it's a hassle. You check in at the front desk on the first floor. Out of 5 elevators, one is permanently stuck on the third floor. Of the remaining 4, only 2 go down to B2. To exit with your car after checking in, you first have to go to the first-floor front desk to scan a code. After scanning, if you get an elevator that only goes to B1, you either have to transfer to an elevator on the other side of B1, or hope you get lucky and catch an elevator that goes straight to B2. Because when you press the button on the first floor, the B1 elevator arrives first, and the B2 elevator will show it's going up. Unless there are other guests in the elevator also going to the garage, but you still need to scan on the first floor to leave, so the chance of getting a direct elevator to B2 is practically zero. The rooms are a bit larger, but the amenities are inferior to newer hotels. Tissues are only available at the sink; there are no tissues on the desk or nightstands in the room. The bathroom also lacks disposable toilet seat covers, which was quite disappointing.

The St. Regis Zhuhai

Our stay at The St. Regis Zhuhai truly highlighted the impeccable hardware and rooms. The room itself boasted a retro-luxury style, offering spacious comfort. The marble bathroom felt premium, and the floor-to-ceiling windows provided an absolutely stunning view. From the bed, we could take in the river view and the Macau Tower, and the overall decor and furnishings were incredibly tasteful, making for a very comfortable stay. Unfortunately, the service experience somewhat lagged behind. Check-in efficiency was just average, and responses to calls were a bit slow. Some of the detailed services didn't quite measure up; for example, the selection of welcome fruits felt quite disappointing given the hotel's high-end positioning. Purely based on the accommodation environment, it's definitely worth a stay; the views and hardware are absolutely top-notch. However, there's significant room for improvement in the service. If the service could match the facilities, the experience would be much more perfect. If you're looking for amazing room views, go for it. But for those who highly value service details, I'd suggest lowering your expectations.

Excellent sea-view hotel with fantastic views and a swimming pool. It's almost always fully booked, so our original room type wasn't available. The front desk staff were great and gave us a free upgrade. Hotel staff also helped deliver our food orders to the room. Very quiet and a wonderful experience. I would choose this hotel again next time.

The front desk staff proactively upgraded my room, and the view was stunning—I could see the port hall and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge. The breakfast was quite rich; even for someone as picky as me, it was very satisfying. After checking out, I forgot some beef in the fridge, and the front desk kindly called to remind me.
